  1. I believe Dr. True works with body hair transplants if i'm not mistaken. Give him a call.
  2. I just posted a couple of pix from my 10 month mark. Things just seem to be getting better. I got a hair cut about a month ago and hair texture appears to be getting better.
  3. Hey Guys, I just updated my photos with new 7 month pics. Please let me know what you think. I have also started taking MSM this past week. I hear it is supposed to be good for hair thickening and growth.
  4. I want to thank you all for your comments. At this stage i can only see good things to come. It has been a long journey that has taken a lot out of me both emotionally and financially. I would love to help others that are in the position that i got myself into so many years ago. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. I will try and post consistent updates from this point on. Happy holidays to you all!
  5. Hey Guys, I really appreciate the kind words. I am excited and happy with my results. This Journey has taken about 15 years so thankfully its just about over.=)
  6. So i finally got around to taking some pictures at the 5 and a half month mark since my second and final procedure. I think things are moving along quite nicely. Please let me know what you think.
  7. Hey Alwayswaiting1, Thanks for the kind words, My brow lift cost me $7000/US. I had it done by a well known plastic surgeon in NYC. The procedure was the best thing i could have done. Cleaned up my hairline beautifully. I agree with your conclusion of the looks of my first procedure 12 month results, unfortunately, i have no real answer. I didn't get sunburn or anything like that. Hopefully, the next round will solve that. In addition, i have been using proscar for the past three months now so that should help strengthen my hair as well. I have a positive feeling now.
  8. Thanks thanatopsis_awry, Yes i have come a long way and i am greatful. Hopefully, i can regain a part of me that i lost a long time ago.
  9. Thanks Bill. I feel good about this second round. Hopefully, it will put an end to this nightmare that i have been dealing with for the past 15 years. By the way, how is your hair looking these days. I know you recently got some new work done yourself.
  10. Hey guys, I have just made a major update with my pics. Still recovering from second session with Dr. Hasson. Please comment. I would love to hear your opinions.
  11. Thanks, Bill, MP96 and its752. I am greatful for a forum like this because it has been so helpful for me. It gave me insight into what i could expect from a good doctor. A way for me to see a better future for myself without hairpieces which led me to eventually take charge of my life and make a change. I hope other guys with bad hair transplants will all come to this site and realize that things aren't hopeless. I stress the guys with bad hair transplants because the self image and self confidence of people who have had this done to them becomes almost non existant. I know mine was, but now i can hold my head up high and be proud. =) Thank you all.
  12. Thanks for all the kind words guys. I hope my results can help others realize that there is a solution for bad hair plugs. Do your homework and get in touch with a top notch doctor like Dr. Hasson.
  13. hey guys, i have about 250 photos showing my journey from getting a bad procedure years ago. I have had so much work done and will document it all in the near future for you all to see. Most recently i had about 4700 grafts done with Dr. Hasson. Things are finally looking up for me. I have worn a hair piece for over 12 years and look forward to never wearing that stupid thing ever again. Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think.
  14. I have posted some stuff before here is an update on my journey. Years ago i had a bad transplant job done on the front temples of my head which came out bad and caused me to wear a hairpiece for about 15 years now. I had to get a brow lift on a top transplant surgeons advice which really helped my forehead look much cleaner. Here are the pics which show the pre and post (approxmately 7000 grafts with Doctor Hasson)pics throughout. I have just begun to take proscar which will hopefully thicken my existing hair up a bit for the final reveal coming around new years eve. =)
  15. John, I would say I would be someone that understands your situation perhaps better than anyone. My hair transplant story goes back the span of about 15 years. I am 38 now. I could honestly say that I felt disfigured and depressed beyond belief. This in itself would generate the kind of anger to lash out against anyone remotely associated with hair transplant surgery. For me a temporary solution was wearing a hair piece just so I wouldn't feel like a freak with these huge holes in my forehead. I have now just past the final hurdle of my hair transplant race and am waiting for the new transplants to grow in. Just to give you an idea, my quest has taken me to 3 hair transplant surgeons and one plastic surgeon. As far as money that i have spent including the hair pieces etc. I have spent over $100,000 in the past 15 years. Many would say i would be the first to join in your bashing of the industry but you know what just like the hair transplant industry the plastic surgery industry is just as bad. You have to realize that you are talking about your head which is the most visible part of your body. Taking this into consideration you must be careful beyond to make sure that everything has been checked rechecked and then checked some more. I would say for me the best thing that could have happend is joining this forum. This really helped me to get exposure to people with similar problems and look for solutions. Just based on personal experience i would say the key to your problem right now is getting yourself fixed. I assure you you have less damage than i had and i am very hopeful that my results will be very pleasing to me. I will post a very extensive bio and photo album within the next few months when i see most of the new hair growing back. I believe my photos will give everyone out there hope. There are some good doctors out there. I have complete confidence that they can make you better again just like they did for me. If you want to pm me feel free to do so and i will send you a few pics just to give you an idea of what i was working with. Good luck my friend.
  16. Hey, guys I agree with all of you. I started loosing my hair when i was about 24 years old. That is when i decided to take some measures toward treating my hair loss problem. I did some research but me being as young as I was that didn't amount to much. I decided to get hair transplants. I went in for 3 sessions totalling about 280 rather large clusters of hair at my temples. After all was said and done I was having a great amount of difficulty making those areas of my forhead look natural so once again I made another relatively fast decision. I went out and got a hair piece figuring i could just cover things up until I decided what to do. Well 13 years later I am still wearing a hairpiece. I couldn't take it off because I had these large bumpy clusters of hair protruding from my scalp which really made me look weird. I finally decided to do something about it and correct the hair transplant mistake I had made some 13 years ago. I am going through my fourth and final procedure in a few weeks to clean up the mess that the doctor had made of my head all those years ago. Once im done with that I will look to have a mega session of hair transplants and finally rid myself of the hair piece. For me the hairpiece kind of helped me out considering my situation but I can honestly say I absolutely hated wearing it and still do. It is very difficult to maintain well and very expensive as well. My advice to you is get hair transpants or if you have a decent shaped head just cut it really short or shave your head after all it's actually fashionable. Don't get sucked into the hairpiece thing. You will be miserable. I can almost guarantee it.
  17. Trust me guys, You should all feel lucky. I spent about $10k back in 1994 to be disfigured and am now spending a total of about $20k to repair all the damage. After all this I will probably have to spend another $20k to get a few sessions of hair transplants. Grand total would probably be about $50k.
  18. Hi, I just had the sutures removed today and decided to post a few picture in cronological order. First pic is before repair, second pic is after first repair, third pic is after second repair, fourth pic is today after procedure 3. I also included a 5th pic which shows my head after procedure 2 with the hair on my crown grown out a bit. I have been wearing a hair piece so for the most part I have been shaving the top of my head. Just decided to let it grow out to see how things look. =)
  19. It makes me sick to my stomach. I got my three first procedures from Long Island Medical about 15 years ago and I heard that a bunch of people collected around $25,000 each from the suit. That money would have helped me out alot with the corrective surgeries i have had and am still undergoing.
  20. I must say that through my experiences I have found that dealing with hair work is all about patience. In a world filled with gotta have it now services this is one area that unfortunately takes time to get worthwile results. For me I have had to deal with repair work before even contemplating additional hair transplantation. I am very happy that this forum is available because seeing other peoples results and trials and tribulations have given me hope. To all you guys out there thanks and may we all help each other get through the emotional side of the hair restoration process.
  21. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any input regarding shampoos. Do any work better than others. I hear dandruff shampoos aren't good for grafts. I have dandruff so not sure what I can do. Any advice comments would be appreciated.
