  1. This is definitely an improvement. I was wondering Dr. Beehner why more grafts were not placed during the first transplant? Also would this patient be able to achieve the same density in her eyebrows as someone who has their natural eyebrows?
  2. No I will not share any of that private information. I have nothing to prove. I have my opinions based on what I have seen and heard from friends and relatives and that is what I shared. If you have a different opinion that's great, I could care less.
  3. Thanks for clarifying that for me Bill. I wasn't sure about what information can or cannot be shared. Like I said I am not trying to attack anyone. I did not personally feel that Female HT cast Dr. Fellers clinic in a negative light, she just gave her opinion. But I do feel that Spex was a little too harsh in "defending his clinic". It's just that I do not see any other clinic defending themselves quite as much or as often as Dr. Feller's does. I might be wrong I am relatively new to this site. I still feel that hair transplants are more of a taboo for a women because less women have the procedure in the first place. And reason that it has to be more undetectable is because women tend to wear their hair tied back up in a ponytail. A woman with a transplanted hairline would need more density in order to do this. This is not my thread so I do not want to make too long of a post but I have to disagree with Maxxy when she stated: "Many men have small procedures, too. To suggest any clinic, at least any clinic on this site, would treat a man or woman differently because they are spending less money is absolutely ridiculous; Doctors have a duty to their patients." Really??? They would treat a patient who is forking over $30,000 the same as they would treat a patient who is only spending $4,000? I know men and a couple of women who have had hair transplants of different sizes from different clinics and that is usually not the case. Sorry but I have to strongly disagree with that comment because even though the difference may not be big and you are suppose to be treating all patients the same, to say that there is no difference is ridiculous.
  4. I just want to thank Female HT for posting her experiences as it seems that there are not that many females that post. I am looking into an eyebrow transplant myself so it's great to hear from someone who has actually had one and will post her progress. Dr. Devroye has posted the best eyebrow results thus far. I also wanted to state my disgust at Spex for sharing Female HT's personal information. Is that even legal? I was considering a consult with Dr. Feller but this post along with others (many others) has convinced me that Dr. Feller's clinic would not be a place were I would want to go. Most clinics still cater primarily to men and don't see the importance that care and attention can play in an overall HT experience. Women usually have smaller procedures so that also means that hey are less lucrative. Often times females are not treated as well because they are not spending as much money. It is much more of a taboo for a women to have a hair transplant than a man (sorry Sparky have to disagree with you on that one). It is also so much more important for the transplant to be undetectable because the last thing you want to be is the woman who looks like she has had a hair transplant. I don't want to attack anyone here but this is an open forum so Female HT should have every right to post what she feels without being attacked and have her personal information posted on-line. Women do not want to go to a place were they are treated poorly or made to feel like they are not getting the attention that they need. This is surgery after all!!!
  5. I've just started with the rogaine. Hoping it will do some good!
  6. Hi all: I just had a few questions concerning rogaine: 1. Does rogaine eventually stop working? 2. Can starting and stopping rogaine lead to hair loss, as in more hair loss than you started with? 3. Has anyone tried rogaine on their eyebrows and experienced growth? I have overplucked my eyebrows for many years now and I have read that rogaine can help grow bak some of the hair.
  7. Dr. Quatela, do you happen to have more close-ups of the 7 month results? Also how long does it take for the hair to straighten out when performing eyebrow transplants. As in for the texture to become more normal?
  8. I was also looking to get some eyebrow work done. Years of overtweezing. I have seen some pictures of eyebrow transplants where the hair is taken from the armpit or the leg area. Now is that something that most of the recommended clinics can do or only a select few? Also just to comment on Zup's post, it's not only the "extremely attractive" women that are particular about their eyebrows. I think most woman are very particular about their eyebrows. Does this mean that shapiro medical only does eyebrow transplants for attractive woman? Would Dr. Shapiro be less worried about a transplant on a less attractive person? I'm sorry but I can't help but wonder when I hear/read comments like that.
