  1. I'm looking for some educated advice...I'm a former HT patient, and I've had 5 recent HT consultations, as I attempt to choose the right surgeon to perform an FU procedure...4 of the 5 surgeons believe they can work with my existing hairline (2 rows--40 plugs)and have a reasonably good end result...however, the 5th surgeon has recommended that the first row of plugs be removed...he feels this will result in the cosmetically best result...obviously, there is more cost plus waiting time to go this route...has anyone had this experience before?...each surgeon is respected in the HT field, although the surgeon recommending the removal may have the best reputation...it all adds up to a tough decision for me...I would appreciate any/all advice...thanks!
  2. Hi: I'm looking for advice regarding HT surgeons, and, techniques...I'm a former HT patient, and, had transplants 20 years ago--100 plugs in the hairline & top of scalp...it's obvious that HT techniques have improved dramatically since 1985, and, that FU's are the "gold standard" today...the information available today is tremendous, but, at the same time makes it difficult to make a decision...my dilemma is whether or not to have a transplant with 100% FU's when I really don't have a "virgin" scalp to work with...some recommended surgeons use a combination FU & minigraft procedure...in my case, does it really matter if I had a combinantion procedure or all FU's?...have any member's of the forum had a similiar background/experience?...I'm very interested in the opinions of the informed members of this forum...thanks very much for any opinions/replies! Mike
