  1. doesn't the donor area spots appear blank? isn't this aesthetically noticeable?
  2. redness shouldn't be that much of a problem. the whole process should concern you more, it's a procedure that takes more than a year to see the final results so you better have it on a completely bald area. my humble opinion.
  3. savemylife1, it doesn't have a name, it's a prescription my dermatologist wrote me. I don't know really, I suppose the intention is quicker (?) and more permanent results. I suggest you be careful with that transplant, my life was kinda ruined last year when I had my first transplant cuz my doctor promised he would put transplanted grafts among the original ones and most of the original ones were wounded and eventually destroyed by the procedure. isotretinoin is for acne, as far as i know. tretinoin is another thing. it's supposed to increase blood circulation. it can cause these problems indeed and it has to come second to the list, in mine it is. I don't think it is in french besides that alcoolat thing and I personally doubt it's just alcohol. be well
  4. hey man, it's prescribed for retrieving natural hair and I intend to use it in the area which i had the transplant in. I thought of using it after month 6 for fear of transplanted grafts interfering with natural hair but I suppose the transplanted hair are on their way.. cheers guys
  5. hi guys. recently a doctor prescribed me a lotion and my concern is whether is any of the components dangerous for my transplanted hair (it's been 5 and a half months after my second transplant). here are the components: -minoxidil -tretinoin -elocon -sostein -progasteron -propylen -glucol -alcoolat de lavant i suppose you dont know all of them but if you know any of these is dangerous please let me know.

  7. I'm not worried about the recently transplanted hair but about the transplanted hair from the first procedure, which happen to be about 20 months old. and mostly because until now I hadn't noticed any of my transplanted hair shed. is there any way some transplanted hair follicles go "inactive"? thanks for your help
  8. hi guys. I'm in a real stress trouble in the middle of my exams. 4 months ago I had my second, thickening, hair transplant. Hair have started to grow, but as I was combing them throughout the last week I noticed some hair shedding. their texture and length matched that of my transplanted hair from the first transplant. There have been some pimples in the specific area from the second transplant, still are, sometimes when it seems possible I try to "set the pore free" with the tip of my fingers. I was told it is safe and there never was anything besides a little blood. Doctors have always told me these hair won't ever shed, won't ever enter an "anagenic phase" (when pouches evolve/grow), but I am really worried about having lost a graph which may have died or won't ever grow again, and about the possibility of losing any more in the future. could these be transplanted graphs? is there a chance they will grow again? I hope most doctors don't act like Hugh Laurie, mine does, and I'm really glad you exist. be well

  10. hi again. I had been suggested the baker's yeast as a "quack remedy", and I could tell it had good results for the period of 2-3 months I've been using it (along minoxidil), before I decided to have the transplant. I can't find info on the net about it either. cheers
  11. or leaven. that stuff someone uses when he makes bread. I've heard it helps with hair loss problems. I've used it myself for an amount of time in the past, before my hair transplants and it seemed to work (one little piece eaten every morning with empty stomach). has anyone else tried it? especially after hair transplants? thanks

  13. hi again. it's now been 3 months and a week since the transplant and i can still see some (few to be honest) "recently" transplanted hair shedding. can this be natural? I would really appreciate a reply, my doctor won't ever bother answering...
  14. hi guys. it's been 2 months and a half since my second transplant procedure (a thickening one, if it matters at all) and i can still notice some (very few but they exist) of the recently transplanted hair shedding. shouldn't the shedding part have ended by now? is this normal? thanks cheers
  15. hey. as far as i know sweating helps hair grow more rapidly. it shouldn't be a problem for the grafts, I suppose.
  16. hi guys. I've read in the bernstein site that it's preferable to cut off smoking for one week prior to the operation and two weeks after it. is this really necessary? I'm having a hair transplant in a couple of days and i haven't quit smoking :\

  18. neither I have any original hair in my line anymore. the hair in the donor area is straight. this is really confusing because i can't get a straight answer from my doc. not even a plain answer. duh :\
  19. so.. this was a wisp of my hairline until 2 hours ago.. http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc000011eq5.jpg this one's blurry but i think you get the idea.. http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00141jy7.jpg and this is a unique piece (though it ought to be 3d).. http://img294.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00146ag0.jpg fortunately there aren't many hair like that in my scalp, but what concerns me is that in some specific spots these hair continue to grow really rough and peculiarly curly, after almost 14 months.
  20. hi guys. I'm really sorry for the pics, my camera must have a serious problem. I've got straight hair and with the exception of these hair in the edge of my hairline, all the transplanted ones grow "naturally", I think. Those hair were not "removed", they were cut off, I assure you they had the same texture when they were in my head too ;p However, I've tried some more shoots and will post them in a while. thank you all ps: smoothy what do you mean by "with new HT"?
  21. hi all. it's been 13 and a half months since my hair transplant and the hair in the edge of the transplant area, the "fence" hairline, are still growing really rough and curly. (like this http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00141rq3.jpg + http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00142xg2.jpg) is this natural? could there be anything wrong? ps. sorry for the pix, best i could do.

  23. hi guys. I'm having a second transplant soon and I don't know which method should I go for. My question is, does FUE leave scars in the donor area, like spots from a pen? I have to decide soon so I'd really appreciate an answer. thank you
