I couldn't have said this any better myself. This was the exact attitude I expressed to a local hair transplant clinic after they told me about the procedure and revealed that due to how I sport my hairstyle it would reveal a scar. (short and cut somewhat close to my skin; being half black/ half white) She asked me what I thought about the procedure and being 18 at the time (now 20) and living in such a technologically advanced society I sat there in aw, clearly displaying disappointment and amaze in the lack of development within the industry. I definitely thought of a much more advanced procedure than the only viable option I was presented with. Between the consultation and now I find myself scrutinizing people in similar and worse situation's than me paying much more attention to MPB and the countless individuals it effects. For an industry which is said to yield $7 billion dollars in North America and effecting millions of people it's disappointing there aren't further advancements... Im going to do further research on this topic and I'll post everything with relevance which hasn't been posted

How long does this shedding phase last? I have just recently started taking propecia since early january and would like to start using rogain but sighh at a temporary loss of additional hair. Im 20 with a receeding hairline and was somewhat under the assumption that propecia would aid in the frontal region... lol, I have vacations and parties to attend to this summer and would rather not start it off with looking worse than I did before.....shit

Similar situation, however im 20 and currently on propecia. Not a terrible hairline but obviously a situation which I would rather not have. Just wanted to confirm one issue and follow it up with a question. 1- Just wanted to confirm that "Spectral DNC contains minoxidil" is the foam material which is essentially the same as rogain? 2- If you start taking rogain or another brand which contains minoxidil am I correct if I were to say once you start taking it you must continue for discontinuing it will result in loosing w/e hair you grew. Im just a little bit nervous about potentially taking these drugs for the rest of my life? sorry I lied three questions... 3- I started taking procecia early january and I asked my doctor if I should also use rogain as I heard these yield the best non h/t results but I recall him saying wait and see how this goes. Do you think I should really match proecia with rogain? Please feel free to state you opinions and ask any additional questions if I have not covered the situation thoroughly. I think this forum is fantastic and really you guys are the experts having gone (and going) through these issues! and btw "thanatopsis_awry" you answered buddies problems with great optimism also instilled some hope in my case.
