  1. Everyone seems to be saying that itching is normal on the recipient site but I've had none at all. I'm right at a month post op. So, now I'm a little concerned since everyone is saying itching is normal. Bill, what gives here?
  2. I would like to add that I've been using this shampoo called Hair Cycle for a week or so and it really seems to have helped with the healing process. It also doesn't contain any of the harsh chemicals that some shampoos have. It leaves your scalp and hair feeling really clean. You can find it at www.haircycle.com. In case you're wondering, I'm in no way associated with this company just thought I would pass along what appears to be a good product.
  3. I'm glad to hear of someone receiving a similiar amount of grafts as I did. I received 1150 grafts on 5-20-08 also in the front 1/3 of my head. It seems everyone who has posted on here up until now had received quite a bit more grafts. I would consider myself between a 3-4 norwood scale and will just wait and see how well my results turn out with the grafts I received. Good luck to you.
  4. I am currently three weeks post ht and I was wondering if any of the doctors are other medical professionals on this site recommend vitamins such b complex and MSM to enhance hair growth. I pretty much eat a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables but also have been taking a b complex vitamin MSM and fish oil as well. Just wandering if these may have an effect on the health or may even expedite the growth process? Along the same line is there anything that can be taken shampoo or other wise that will keep the hair in the anagen stage for a longer period?
  5. Thanks for the advice. I will look into finding a spray sunscreen that contains the mentioned ingredients.
  6. I am 3 weeks post op and I will be going to Florida in a few weeks. I will be wearing a hat most of the time but during the times I'm not I want to wear a sunscreen that is safe for my transplant, follicles etc. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

  8. Okay, someone tell me I'm just being paranoid. I have been doing some research on hair ingredients and have read some disturbing things about sodium laurel sulfate which is in almost every shampoo that I see. It is supposedly a skin irritant and has been know to cause cancer and damage the follicle as well. I googled it and got this information. So, does anyone know what this is all about?
  9. I had a hair transplant a little over two weeks ago and everything seems to be healing very well. I was looking at a product called hair cycle that is for post transplant use and for everday use by anyone that may or may not have had a transplant. Has anyone out there used this and what's your opinion of it. It seems to have some very good ingredients for healthy hair. Also, I've been using Emu oil on my donor scar and it seems to have aided the healing process. Thanks.
