  1. cheers. I guess I'm unfamiliar with FUE, I thought it was just a corrective procedure to regrow hair on the scar. I'll be sure to look into that.
  2. Thanks, I sort of figured it would be visible which I really don't mind too much, I guess I just want to have a better idea of what to expect.
  3. I just recently found out that I'll be obtaining a commission as a JAG officer in the navy, which I am pretty pumped about. The thing that has me nervous is that I'll have to wear my hair fairly short. My procedure is scheduled for 1200 units and I've been looking for some pictures of what should be comparable donor-scars (preferably pictures that are not close ups). I guess I'm just concerned about what I may look like when I have to keep my hair trimmed down to a #1or2 clipper guard. Any comments/reassurance/cautionary tales and, of course a point in the right direction as to pictures would be appreciated.

  5. Thanks for the info all. I'm a NW 3 (or 4 maybe) and I'm getting about 1200 on the frontal 1/3 and towards the top, but they're going to be set back a bit from my hairline (just thought I would provide the info, don't know if changes anyones advice)
  6. Im thinking I'm gonna go ahead with it anyways, and if I can't handle how I look I'll just bail on the wedding and see my buddy at thanksgiving or whatever. Thanks for the input, where do you suggest I go for the toppik or dermmatch?
  7. Hi all, I'm supposed to attend a wedding about 30 days after my operation. I've sifted through quite a few of the weblogs and photos and I'm concerned about what I might look like in the pictures etc. Now I know not to expect to have my new hair grown in by the end of one month post-op, but I'm more concerned as to scarring etc, especially if my hair is trimmed up to look presentable. Should I maybe hold off on the surgery until after the wedding? or could I expect the scarring/redness around my hairline to have subsided by then?

  9. Cheers, and thanks. I just set up my appointment today and will be going in towards the end of august.
  10. I haven't gone in for the procedure yet, I just recently had a second consultation after waiting a year to see how the propecia would work. I have to set up an appointment for the procedure.
  11. Hi all, I recently had my second consultation with Dr. Aronovitz (after a year on generic propecia) and am thinking I'm ready to go through with the procedure (1200 on the frontal 1/3). I've been digging through the forums but I haven't been able to find too much about their office (what I have found has been positive). I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I guess I'm just looking for a little bit of reassurance is all.
