Hello all, I am a new member here at the forum and I just wanted to check in and say hello. The wealth of information and educated opinion combined with those who graciously share their personal expericences have been a tremendous help. I had my HT with Dr Bernstein in Manhattan on 6/25/07. All I can say is the experience was as good as I could have ever anticipated. I did my homework and research to some degree and met for one consultation with Dr Bernstein before my HT. The procedure itself was long, but I was made as comfortable as possible. The incredible attention paid to me as I spent the day in the office for my procedure put me at ease and in a much better state of mind then when I first sat down to begin, I can't tell you how much this helped overall. (Gurls I am indebted to you).(ok, so maybe it was the anesthesia.. ;p) but their professionalism, attention to detail and obvious trade craft was tremedously obvious and reassuring. I will keep you posted on my progress. So far I'm right on target. After my initial, "Oh my god" reaction to some shock loss, at 6 weeks out it has stopped and now I'm just waiting.. "Patiently" and that is what might actually thin faster then my hair !! Is there a transplant for Patience ??

Hello Chris, I am also a new member to he forum here and just had my first H/T June 25th in Manhattan with Dr.Bernstein. I can only say this, the experience was an excellent one. He and his staff at his clinic were extremely professional, curteous, kind and quick to help in any way possible with my many questions an apprehensions. This is a surgical procedure afterall and should not be entered into lightly. Do your homework,(this forum seems fantastic, I wish I had found it before hand to ease my fears) learn as much as you can and ask as many questions as possible before making a decision. Make a trip to any clinic you are considering for a consultation with the doctor and move forward from there, you will feel much better after making the effort and it will ease your mind. I can only say being 20 days out from my procedure that I am very pleased thus far, but, as you know, will have to wait the necessary 6, 8, 10 months out to see the true effect of Dr Bernsteins work. I would highly reccomend him. Good Luck Chris, keep us posted.
