  1. Ive been on meds for quite a while, i think 2 years propecia, im not sure if im just reading into it too much but ive noticed a little more hair while showering.
  2. im 5 months post op today and have notice in the last 2 weeks hair shedding, it doesnt appear to just be the top of my head but also around the donor site. I was a diffuse thinner before ht so is this shock loss? im panicking a bit because i thought shockloss only occured early in the ht healing not between 4-5 months. Any comments would be much appreciated.

  5. wantego, Just wanted to add on a side note about the gaps in hairline you mentioned early on, my doc said sometimes with dense hairlines the hairs clump together producing a channeling type of look. It appears as thought there are gaps in the hairline but its not anything to worry about!
  6. " Many UK patients fly back the next day after their op - Black sutures or black Staples?? Black against black - ouch!" I think they were sutures as they were like a thick black plasticy type thread and yes ouch was the word lol after reading about having sutures out i thought theyd be a breeze except sometimes the nurse would pull my hair and sometimes the sutures lol all part of the ht fun!
  7. Hey jojo Ive from the UK too and had surgery with Rahal in April. Quick note about the sututres, there not as easy to remove as made out, i had black hair and the sutures were black too making it vey difficult to locate. I made an appointment with a nurse at my local surgery who made an attemtp to remove the sutures but couldnt (she said she hadnt seen any sutures like that before and she looked quite experienced) Ended up having to go to A&E who removed them, but i doubt you could, even if you could see the back of your head with a mirror lol Just some info for you as a side note, i stayed 5 days, flew in straight to consultation, next day surgery, 4 nights later back on a plane to london. theres no need to stay there much more than that.
  8. "palistan is in Asia I think, not in middle east" Yeah last timei went PAKISTAN was in asia unless its moved over afganistan and into the middle east.

  14. To answer your question my hair has been falling since 22 so id say atleast last 7 years, the propecia has definately helped, but when i say falling i mean hair all over pillows clothes etc, i still cant believe how much i had left lol
  15. Im gona be 30 before the hairs sprout out, i do think im lucky in that always ive had really thick hair, i remeber as a kid wishing it was thinner then getting older and thinking why is it thinning lol hopefully if all goes well and the propecia continues its work im hoping i will be good for a few years!

  18. Enjoy your break in Mexico MeBlondMelon, ive just been emailed my pictures of before and after HT so i will try and assemble a blog today. On a side note about swelling, when i left Dr Rahals office and got back to my room i somehow got confused and thought i only had 4 tablet jars instead of 5, and actually FORGOT to take the swelling tablets until day 3!!! As a result my forhead cheeks swelled up to match my swolled eyes with a bit of black and yellow.....i kept thinking should i be so swolled until i moved some paper on the bedsit cabinet and so the medication for swelling!!!!!hehehe needless to say its amazing now how 7 days post up the swelling has gone as fast as it came!
  19. MeBlindMelon was curious about your after care, Dr Rahal told me not to have stiches out until 2 weeks, im 7 days post op now, also most sites ive read up say that using finger tips gently cleanse the scabs after 7 days, dr rahal said to wait 2 weeks...same for you?
  20. Hey hope your recovering well MeBlindMelon, (its the guy with the blue hat on in the hotel lol) im flying back today after having 2460 G from Rahal, really pleased with my procedure, havent got any pictures yet as Dr Rahal will email them, but will be creating a blog soon. P.S On a side note i want to thank all the regular posters on this forumn, im one of those silent ones who hasnt posted but i really appreciate the time and effort you guys take to help people make informed decisions.
