  1. I posted my pics in the photo album section... I tried to include the album in my post but I dont seem to understand the technique ??? I would appreciate your honest opinions about the condition of my scar. Thanks
  2. Here are some before and after pics of the back, top and left side of my head. I had a 1200 FU about 3 years ago and recently, 4 months and 9 days ago, had a second procedure of 3000 FU. I am having problems with my donor scar especially on the right side where my first strip was taken. I also am not noticing any growth until now.

  4. Considering that I am not as satisfied as I should be 4 and a half months after my procedure, I am reflecting upon the fact that I did not take the time to thoroughly discuss my objectives with my doctor. I came from out of town so never met the doctor before the day of the surgery and expected to have a chance on that morning to sit down with the doctor to discuss...Maybe I did not insist enough but the doctor simply drew a hair line in less that a minute and did not consider my opinion that the hair line was too high. He infact told me : Thats all we got buddy !!! You'll be able to comb your hair back !!! In reality at my age, 25, I will not comb my hair back, and my main objective is to look as unbald as possible not to have long hair. I always shaved my head and enjoyed it, but when the crown pattern became apparent, that's when I considered HT to be able to give me back some kind of full looking shaved or short head of hair. Do you think the doctor should always take at least a few minutes to discuss these issues with his patient or should I have insisted more to take that time with him ??

  6. Hello, I had my surgery on Jauary 6th 2006. I had strip excision and 3000 FU transplanted. My scar is still very red and much more than 1 or 2mm on the side of my head where I already had a previous strip excision. I am noticing no growth except maybe that some hair seem to be stronger considering the Minoxidil I have been applying since the surgery. I will post pictures as soon as possible. Please let me know what your opinions are on my situation.

  8. I dont know...I am looking at others pictures and my scar is by far the worst. It is extremely red and thick, it is not smooth and simply does not seem to be improving. I will post a picture to get peoples opinions. Thanks
  9. No... I guess this was a concern a few weeks ago. My scalp is back to normal now. But I was still wondering if what was happening then was normal ?
  10. Is it ok to scratch lightly the crust after surgery to help the crust come off ? I feel it is almost impossible to avoid doing it...but then I see some pieces of skin with hair falling from my head. Does this represent the normal process of the grafts falling before regrowth or does this mean that I scratched a graft to hard and that it fell ???

  14. On January 6th, I received 3000 grafts. This is my second HT. My scar is from one ear to the other and still is very red and some areas seem to be kink of infected. Actually, I have not seen much improvement since the surgery even tough I clean the scar with peroxyde and apply liquid vitamin E on the scar mostly everyday. Is this normal ?
