I use 2.5 oral minoxidil daily and have started applying topical in addition on a night starting from last night. Will the topical induce a shed? I'm 4 months post procedure and not sure if adding the topical will impact my newly transplanted hair. Probably a silly question but thought id ask

@Myles23 same here. I cannot tolerate oral at all. What topical dosage have you tried that worked for you in atleast maintaining your hair? I would appreciate your inputs. Thanks!
Not sure where you're from however Numan do an all in one spray as per photo below. Hope that helps.

I've been on and off finasteride for the last 10 years, i don't tolerate the oral form in any dosage. I've been using topical solution with finasteride / minoxidil for the past year and tolerated it well however we are currently in the throws of deciding whether to have our second child so I've been off it the past 4 months. I would definitely recommend trying the topical finasteride. Oral minoxidil has been a game changer for my existing hair.

Month 4 Update: Photos of where I started vs where I am today 4 months since my procedure with Dr Turan @FUECAPILAR . Happy with how things are evolving so far. Oral minoxidil has definitely been a game changer thickening up my existing hair. My current medication stack below for anyone interested.
2.5mg oral minoxidil morning daily
1.25mg cialis / 1.25mg viagra (will stop in 4 weeks)
Topical Minoxidil evening daily

the design really suits your face - nice one.
Thanks. I thought it was a bit conservative straight after my procedure but I’m liking how it’s taking shape.

This is awesome mate and great work by Turan. Not seen results like that in your 4 month update.
Question…. when microdosing cialis / viagra, did you experience any mild headaches? Might be unrelated but since I’ve reduced my intake to 1.25mg / 1.25mg they’ve subsided a little. Will stop at 5 months…. To my wife’s delight

This is not great for 9 months and it would appear you had a poor survival rate but also judging from your previous post op pictures, the work didn't look good from the outset. You can expect only marginal improvement in density from here to 12 months as the hair matures. You have great hair characteristics so even though your donor has dipped, I would consult a great surgeon to see about another procedure. With a mix of scalp and beard grafts you could get the desired look in the right surgeons hands. Are you still on meds?

Any update on this? Be good to see how it’s turning out

Proper mop of hair that. Great yield even at 6 months. Thanks for sharing

My hair transplant from Dr. Turan turned out great. However, I would recommend microneedling if you want to see faster progress. @Xhant
be good to see an update, that month 4-5 was something else.

This will be the norm moving forward i suspect with top tier surgeons. Fuegenix have a £1000 consultation fee also. This will weed out the window shoppers from people who are genuine but i presume this will be fee will be deducted from the surgery costs should the patient go ahead with the procedure.
Also worth noting that there are few examples on here where people have described their consultations with both Zarev and Fuegenix. The consultation is thorough and can last several hours or more. We all value our time so why shouldn't a top tier surgeon value theirs?

Everyone’s growths differs from person to person. You’re still early in your journey and it looks like growth is starting to happen. Fingers crossed you see a big change from here to month 8

It’s gone darker across my whole head so you’re right, must be down to the oral minoxidil

Hair darkening is among the known side-effects of minoxidil, particularly in its oral form, if I am not mistaken.
Cheers @Stoner. I never knew this. Had friends and family comment on how dark it’s looking. Don’t mind giving away the blonde as long as the hairline returns to a decent state

Oh wow! really good growth for just 3 months! Going to be an exciting summer for you!
Thanks @Bandit90. Hopefully for both of us pal. My 1st hair transplant failed badly and even though I’m only at 3 months from my 2nd, doubts were starting to creep in.

It has gone a lot darker which is a bit strange. Can only think it’s due to oral minoxidil or the lack of sunshine in the UK

We are fortunate to live in a period of time due to medical techniques and advances, that when we are unhappy about something in our appearance, we can rectify through surgery and sometimes solely medication . Life is short and tomorrow is not guaranteed, so do it. Mental well being is the catalyst, lets face it, who really cares about our baldness other than ourselves, i know my family don't.
P.S. if you keep up the medical regime, hopefully one / two procedures should be enough for a lifetime if you choose the correct surgeon. I switched from topical minoxidil to Oral minoxidil and has been a game changer for me so you might want to look into that also.

Healed well already @Bandit90. Time seems to stand still during the ugly duckling phase I agree. Most Norwood 6/7 would give their right arm for how you look now let alone what it will look like in another 10 months when this third procedure evolves. I look forward to seeing the return of the quiff.

Cant decide which is better, the hair transplant or the presentation. Both Incredible.
