  2. Hi there, I'm a 34 year old male in the Boston area, I first started noticing my receding hairline around 18, it's been a very slow process, but i'm at the point now where it's very thin and rapidly losing scalp coverage. I keep my hair as long as i can and have the comb forward look and it's starting to look as bad as most comb overs. I found this site about a week ago as i've been serving the web for weeks googling hair loss treatments hoping to find a solution that might work for me. It seems like everytime I find something that might be encouraging, after doing more research of finding twice as many posts that are negative about what I've found, which is leading me to believe there's nothing I can do. to give you more history about me, I've been on rogaine for about 9 years, first 2% and then 5%, about a week ago I finally started taking propecia and also have begun using saw palmetto, zinc, vitamin b, fish oils and multi-vitamins. other then the propecia, i don't realistically expect results from the other crap, but i guess it's desparate measures. and with propecia i think my best hope is that it will slow down the process, unfortunately I don't feel like this is good enough for me and that's why I'm here, I'm looking for help, ideas suggestions????? everything I see and read makes me skeptical of everything, i see also good stories as being nothing more then false advertising that is followed by what seems like real people who have had the HT or used the product and are not satisfied. can anyone prove me wrong? also, i have what I think are obvious questions about HT. I read where you can go back to work in a day or two and pretty much resume normal life, but my question is, can anyway explain how the resume a normal life two days later with obvious signs of post-op, read bumps, etc.....???? do you wear a baseball hat for two weeks or can you even do that? what if you work in professional enviroment where that's just not acceptable? especially since i've read where you typically have to cut you hair short prior to surgery. I can't be the only one with these questions, so if anyone out there who has been through can give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. and finally after browsing all the well known Ht sites, the only site I saw which i thought were great results were Bosley, but from what I've read about bosley on these posts has totally scared me away, i was probably a day away from scheduling a consultaion with them in Boston, but I've put that on hold. I also see alot of positive posts about surgeons in NC and NYC, but how do I know these aren't being posted by people affiliated with these doctors? I know I'm asking a lot of questions here all at once, but I don't think I'm alone. any feedback is greatly appreciated. thanks JD
