I placed an order on Amazon.de. Also sold on Ebay and by Anagenica.

Sexual sides. With oral 1mg also had brain fog. If you get sides on oral you'll also get it on topical. Topical does go systemic with continued use and very low dose is enough to crash DHT by 70%. There are many posts on hairlosstalk about this. I also tried myself with low dose low frequency topical and eventually got sides.

Just because I got sides doesn't mean you will get them however. Lot of people can handle fin just fine.

Do you happen to have a link on hairlosstalk about this? I can’t seem to search on that forum. Did you try LipoFin from anagenica? And was it 0.1%? I have a liposomal rx for 0.01%

Others experience is irrelevant to you as an individual. The only way to know is to try it. I got sides on oral finasteride, switched to topical finasteride with no sides, and then switched to topical dutasteride a year later. I would reduce frequency vs. potency. 0.01 is nothing.

What were your oral fin sides?

Look at mozzarella study. However there are people who haven't been able to replicate it and had to use lower doses to not have serum DHT inhibition. You can try liposomal or try super low dose.

I personally am too sensitive to anti androgens/DHT inhibitors so wasn't worth it for me. Even topical saw palmetto gave me sides. There are other options like CB,RU, alfatradiol, fluridil that you can try. I'm planning to try alfatradiol next.

What are your side effects on DHT inhibitors like fin? Did you try oral and topical? Wonder if topical would give me the same effect

It's a little bit low, but to be fair, it's not fully 2000 in the hairline as they did scatter some grafts throughout the midscalp, so you may be fine. You'll need more grafts there eventually as you're thinning there, but you didn't really use up a whole lot in the hairline.

So it was actually another 500 in the midscalp. Total was 2500. 2000 was used for the hairline and temples. I wish I used less on the hairline so I could use it later for my midscalp as I am a diffuse thinner..

    would this change your opinion?

  5. Hello, was anyone successfully able to switch to a topical finasteride solution after having made side effects with the oral version? I am planning on trying a low dose liposomal finasteride at 0.01% as I had impotence the first time around on oral. Wanted to get some experiences on microdosing topically, thank you!

im my experience, you will still get the side effects. instead of hours, it may just takes days over different applications.

only forum member i know to have sides with oral fin but tolerate a topical fin is @Gatsby

Really, I thought more people can tolerate topical?

I used topical fin with this concentration. I got it from the Parati compounding pharmacy. It didn't yield any results, and I kept losing ground. I think that a topical drug at this concentration is merely homeopatheic and is a waste of money.

How long did you use it for? And what’d you end up switching to

  8. Hello did anyone tolerate topical liposomal finasteride way better than oral? I had ED a few hours after taking an oral finasteride tablet. Years later I want to try this again but topically. This is a 0.01% compounded liposomal finasteride solution from a compounding pharmacy.

I started liposomal fin 0.005% 1,5 half months ago. I am planning to start using dutasteride meso 0.01% once per week. Do you think it is ok to just stop using liposomal fin after I start  dutasteride meso  or should I continue using liposomal fin 0.005% every 2 days? I am worried that net result will be negative if I stop fin and start dut.

How is this going? Any side effects or progress?

    Hi,

1,5 years ago I took fina topical 0.025% 3x/week and started having problems after 4 months (prostatis symptoms)

Among all the doctors I saw, only one urologist told me that I was having a PFS (a doctor who also transplants hair and who is a former urologist, Doctor Mousseigne in Paris). According to others my symptoms are not related to finasteride. The last one I saw tell me my symptoms come from a pudendal nerve disorder and I therefore have medication for that, which works well.

I recently try again but after trying the liposomal gel again, I had symptoms immediately in the minutes that followed...

As I find this curious, I tell myself that perhaps I have an allergy to the product in the gel... Besides, when I put my topical minoxidil in the evening, sometimes it gives me the same effect but less intense... and not every time...

So now I am trying oral form at very low dose... According the picture below (picture is from this forum but I dont have the link), 0.1mg of oral fin daily would be enought to maintain my hair, and even got some regrow (+10 hair / cm² instead of +16 with 1mg/day).

Actually I am using topical minox +  Fluridil + CosmeRNA + Exosomes and have a good maintenance (and even some regrow with exosomes I added since 2 months) but I would like to add just a little oral fin (so I could perhaps stop CosmeRNA if I support 0.1mg fin because CosmeRNA is very expensive for the "theoretical" +7.5 hairs it gives to me ...)

I just started 0.1mg few days ago (I use a very precise scale to make my 0.1mg pieces which I put in empty capsules)

I am also taking resveratrol + nettle leaf with my 0.1mg fin to mitigate side effect as my DHT should be decreased by about 50% even with 0.1mg.

Does anyone have any feedback on this type of take for my age ?

    Thanks !

How is the oral working for you? The liposomal I heard is supposed to rarely cause side effects. I was planning on trying it at 0.01%.

  11. I had some severe side effects from one pill of oral finasteride, like ED. I wanted to know if you think liposomal finasteride will work well on me without side effects. This is a 0.01% solution. Did anyone use this and not experience side effects compared to oral? Anyone use anything like this before? It was from a compounding pharmacy that Dr. Rassman works with. Lastly should I obtain a hormone panel before starting this drug?

I think the work looks good. If everything grows out then that wouldn’t be an issue whatsoever.

Thanks! I wanted to ask about something you mentioned. I think the reason the surgeon spread out the grafts rather than just targeting the frontal half or something was because I have a diffuse hair loss pattern. I guess he wanted to spread the grafts throughout where he saw less density. This may have been a bad approach as I still had native hairs nearby. Idk if this approach is ever done?

It really depends on the individual and of course the doctor you went to and whether they actually damaged your existing hair through heavy-handed work or whether it was the unavoidable shock loss that follows a procedure.

I'd say my native hair and donor fully recovered around the 12 month mark, though I am still seeing improvements in Month 16.

Did you notice native hair loss that had not come back around the 6 month mark? When did you see the old hairs in the recipient start growing in? I’m missing some density that I used to have. I guess I should keep waiting before making judgement. More insight on your experience would help? Thank you!

It’s very hard to tell if you suffered with diffused thinning pre-transplant from the pictures you shared. It’s just too difficult to tell if the loss existed with your hair cut so close to your scalp. We would need to see a top down with your longer hair styled so as not to hide the extent or the loss. If those pictures exist then they would be a huge help for anyone here to help guide you.

As far as the work goes; It looks good but did the clinic lower your hairline with that many grafts? 2000 grafts are a lot and your hairline looked great as it was. It’s hard to tell what that many grafts were used for in the front by the pictures posted.

I’m really not trying to stoke any flames but I, personally, would be very upset if I went in for a diffused frontal third and then received the majority of my grafts in my hairline with a few thrown in to the area with diffuse loss.

At 5 months that’s about what you would expect to see whether you were on meds or off. That’s really dependent on the individual’s healing process. I think it looks pretty good-I’m just not sure what all the grafts in the front were used for.

You could reach out to the clinic and doctor to get their take on it, though I don’t know that it would give you any clarity…but it might give you clarity. You could also reach out to a reputable clinic recommended by the community here, share your story, pictures, and overall feelings about what’s going on and see if they could provide any guidance.

This is just my 2 cents. I actually would love to see how this turns out at 12 months. I hope you get it figured out! ✌🏻

Would you say the grafts implanted in rows is okay?

You hair before ht lookes fine to me, in your shoes i would not proceed with a ht. Now at 5 months it looks like you stll have schockloss in the recipient area. Starting with oral minoxidil should really help to reverse any schock loss and speed up the hairgrowth, you really have to wait for the 12 months mark to make any judgment. Msm tablets could also helt to speed up hair growth.

Thank you, I will take oral minoxidil soon. However my hair did look fine COMBED but I have a diffuse hair loss pattern if you look at the shaved hair. I believe I needed one but could have waited on getting my midscalp done.

  16. Hey guys I had done a HT in Istanbul for 2500 grafts targeting my hairline and midscalp. I noticed I had diffuse thinning when my head was shaved in Istanbul and really didn’t know I had it cause I’m not shedding a lot. Anyways, I originally went to improve my hairline and make it straighter. I told the doc that I wanted density in the midscalp as well. The issue is I got 500 grafts throughout my midscalp and the remaining 2000 in the hairline area. They claimed my midscalp area is still “strong” and there are hairs still in that area just not as dense. However they didn’t mention the risk of avoiding transplanting that area as there is a chance the healthy hair there could be shock lossed. I woulda maybe just done the front in that case idk, still thought I needed more density there.

Anyways I’m 28 years old and my balding has not stabilized but I’m unable to take finasteride due to the side effects I experienced. Currently just on minoxidil and switching to oral next week. The problem now is though I’m 5 months out and am still experiencing shock loss in my midscalp area as my native hairs aren’t there compared to what I used to have. Either I should have received more grafts or I should not have gotten grafts added in the midscalp area if I’m a diffuse thinner. What do you all think, I think I was justified getting grafts in my midscalp area as it was clearly weak but not being on finasteride obviously could’ve shock lossed them for good. I’d like to mention my hair loss wasn’t drastic but not it’s a little more obvious when not styled.

Has anyone gotten their old hair back after 6 months? Someone help me out with their experiences.

First 4 pictures are now. The last 5 pics are shaved pre-op, post-op, and hair before shaving. The first pic and last pic (pre-op) look similar when I comb it over but when I expose my hair it looks worse.

The midscalp looks fine to me, but hairline is still a bit sparse. I would give it a few more months. There’s still plenty of time for more growth.

I’m just not sure if the hairline is sparse or if that’s the midscalp looking more sparse and showing through the front. I hope I didn’t make the wrong decision by getting grafts added throughout my scalp for density.
