  1. Particularly referring to the circled area or the area below it as well
  2. Do you happen to have a link on hairlosstalk about this? I can’t seem to search on that forum. Did you try LipoFin from anagenica? And was it 0.1%? I have a liposomal rx for 0.01%
  3. What are your side effects on DHT inhibitors like fin? Did you try oral and topical? Wonder if topical would give me the same effect
  4. So it was actually another 500 in the midscalp. Total was 2500. 2000 was used for the hairline and temples. I wish I used less on the hairline so I could use it later for my midscalp as I am a diffuse thinner.. would this change your opinion?
  5. I received 2000 grafts in my hairline to fix it for cosmetic reasons as I was naturally born with a receding hairline. But I am balding in a few areas on my midscalp now and worried 2000 grafts was too much. First two pictures are before and last 3 are post op and now. I am 7 months post op still. I am a diffuse thinner.
  6. Hello, was anyone successfully able to switch to a topical finasteride solution after having made side effects with the oral version? I am planning on trying a low dose liposomal finasteride at 0.01% as I had impotence the first time around on oral. Wanted to get some experiences on microdosing topically, thank you!
  7. Really, I thought more people can tolerate topical?
  8. How long did you use it for? And what’d you end up switching to
  9. Just want to make sure they don’t extract from the dht sensitive donor area. It was 2500 grafts. Lastly, I have no idea what the stuff in the red circle is. I don’t remember them putting grafts in my crown area.
  10. Hello did anyone tolerate topical liposomal finasteride way better than oral? I had ED a few hours after taking an oral finasteride tablet. Years later I want to try this again but topically. This is a 0.01% compounded liposomal finasteride solution from a compounding pharmacy.
  11. How is this going? Any side effects or progress?
  12. How is the oral working for you? The liposomal I heard is supposed to rarely cause side effects. I was planning on trying it at 0.01%.
  13. I had some severe side effects from one pill of oral finasteride, like ED. I wanted to know if you think liposomal finasteride will work well on me without side effects. This is a 0.01% solution. Did anyone use this and not experience side effects compared to oral? Anyone use anything like this before? It was from a compounding pharmacy that Dr. Rassman works with. Lastly should I obtain a hormone panel before starting this drug?
  14. Thanks! I wanted to ask about something you mentioned. I think the reason the surgeon spread out the grafts rather than just targeting the frontal half or something was because I have a diffuse hair loss pattern. I guess he wanted to spread the grafts throughout where he saw less density. This may have been a bad approach as I still had native hairs nearby. Idk if this approach is ever done?
  15. Did you notice native hair loss that had not come back around the 6 month mark? When did you see the old hairs in the recipient start growing in? I’m missing some density that I used to have. I guess I should keep waiting before making judgement. More insight on your experience would help? Thank you!
  16. Did anyone’s native hair recovery take longer? Like the 6-8 month mark?
  17. I am 5 and a half weeks out post transplant and my barber took a good amount of my hair off from the temples. He pushed them back more with an electric razor and no guard. Am I okay still?
  18. You def are right, I tried oral fin and it gave me bad side effects. Hopefully oral min makes big improvements!
  19. Thank you, I will take oral minoxidil soon. However my hair did look fine COMBED but I have a diffuse hair loss pattern if you look at the shaved hair. I believe I needed one but could have waited on getting my midscalp done.
  20. Hey guys I had done a HT in Istanbul for 2500 grafts targeting my hairline and midscalp. I noticed I had diffuse thinning when my head was shaved in Istanbul and really didn’t know I had it cause I’m not shedding a lot. Anyways, I originally went to improve my hairline and make it straighter. I told the doc that I wanted density in the midscalp as well. The issue is I got 500 grafts throughout my midscalp and the remaining 2000 in the hairline area. They claimed my midscalp area is still “strong” and there are hairs still in that area just not as dense. However they didn’t mention the risk of avoiding transplanting that area as there is a chance the healthy hair there could be shock lossed. I woulda maybe just done the front in that case idk, still thought I needed more density there. Anyways I’m 28 years old and my balding has not stabilized but I’m unable to take finasteride due to the side effects I experienced. Currently just on minoxidil and switching to oral next week. The problem now is though I’m 5 months out and am still experiencing shock loss in my midscalp area as my native hairs aren’t there compared to what I used to have. Either I should have received more grafts or I should not have gotten grafts added in the midscalp area if I’m a diffuse thinner. What do you all think, I think I was justified getting grafts in my midscalp area as it was clearly weak but not being on finasteride obviously could’ve shock lossed them for good. I’d like to mention my hair loss wasn’t drastic but not it’s a little more obvious when not styled. Has anyone gotten their old hair back after 6 months? Someone help me out with their experiences. First 4 pictures are now. The last 5 pics are shaved pre-op, post-op, and hair before shaving. The first pic and last pic (pre-op) look similar when I comb it over but when I expose my hair it looks worse.
  21. I’m just not sure if the hairline is sparse or if that’s the midscalp looking more sparse and showing through the front. I hope I didn’t make the wrong decision by getting grafts added throughout my scalp for density.
