I was 21 when i had my first session back 16 yrs ago.I started thinning when i was 19 and so depressed and upset about it.When i was 21 there was no hair drugs like today.My advice is wait if you can and give the drugs a chance to maintain what you have.And if you want to get some work done make sure you research as much as possible and go with a docter who will be cautious to your future hair loss and give you a acceptable hair line when your 40 or 50. I am sure tons of guys can give you great on this site it sure has helped me learn alot... good luck Ken

Hi Bill, Thanks for your response.I am 37 now and when i was 21,23,25 i had three procedures done of mini and micro's done totaling 900 grafts.I was never happy with the results.Back then there was no websites or info about trnasplants like today.I was never happy with the results and always felt it was unnatural and people could notice. I decided when i was 28 to get another procedure done which was larger 1300 mini and micro's bascally to mask or hide the bigger grafts. I have a hairline that is lower than it should and two scars which one is wide(from the first three). I want to see what can be done and Dr bernstein seems to be yop on the list.I am really afraid to get all these bad grafts removed and look worse for 6 months because the hair in my fron is all trnasplants and shedding i am sure will be great. I guess i am nervous as heck just to go thru the whole thing again after having the 4 procedures done when i was young and uninformed. The Fu's look awesome today and i am so jealous.I don't think nothing can be done with the lowness of my hairline cause there would be way to many grafts to remove.After your post i think i will at least meet with Dr Bernstein to here what he has to say, I think i am leary cause i will get all bad news....Thanks for your help Bill Ken

Hi Bill, I am intersted in possibly using Dr Bernstein for my repair work also.I just looked at his website and from what i understand he is one of the top Doc's to go for repair work.I just have'nt got up the nerve to set a appt yet.If i can ask what is it your getting repaired ( plugs,mini's ,scare) Ken

Thanks Tman, I will check him out.I want to go to the best this time around since my last procedure was 9 rs ago and things have seemed to change for the better these days.I am checking out Dr.shaprio also.He seems to be a leading doctor in this field also.It is really confusing picking a doc these days with some many good ones.

Hi, Love this site, wish it was around when i was 21 and dying to get any info on HTs back then it was really hard getting info . I am 37 now I had 4 procedures done,Dr Brandy of Pitts. did 3 sesions 21,23,25 mini and micro's which back then most people were doing punch plugs and Dr True of N.Y when i was 28 also mini and micros but more refined. I am still unhappy with my results and donor scars . My hailine area is the most upsetting to me.I Can see clumpy grafs in thats area.And notice people looking at my hair when they talk to me .Dr True did a better job repairing it but i am still unhappy. I read about f u sesions. Is this something that can help me.I would love not to be afraid to look in the mirrior in sunlight and get upset. Is Dr shaprio and rose good at repair work? From what i see on this site they seem to be the most advanced on newest technology.I don't see much talk of repair work on their sites.I think i really only have one more session of donor hair left so i want to make this the best for me .Thank you for all your advice Ken

Well I really apreciate all your input on this subject.Smoothy i think we share the same results from previous surgeries.I actually have two donor scars too. I guess i just have to get myself in the mood to get one done again and deal with the shedding and the waiting time for growth.Dr Shaprio seems very well recommened by everyone.Has the prodcedures changed as far as pain when getting one done? Its been 9 yrs since i had my last one done. Thanks Ken

Hi, Just wanted to say how great i think this web site is.I just found it recently and thinks its great people can share information.I am thinking about getting another procedure done to correct past procures i had done many years ago.Some history,I am 36 now and had procedures done when i was 21,23,25 done by Dr Brandy in Pitts. I guess at the time after researching i found him to be the best at doing mini and micro transplants and i was bascially given a lower hair line than i should have been given and a very noticeable clumpy transplant.I was very upset how it turned out and very aware that people were looking at my transplant when they should be looking at me in the eyes when i talk to someone.I decieded when i was 28 to get a procedure done by Dr true in n.y .It was a large session which turned out better than the first three but as i have gotten older and thinned some i feel like i am in the same boat with a hairline i hate and i can barely look in the mirrior without getting upset.I feel it is very noticeable and i have had people even ask me if i had a transplant done.My donor scar has widened and needs to be addressed also.I have been using propecia and rogaine for a long time to slow loss. I guess i am asking is their hope for me to look like i have'nt had any work done and have a soft natural hairline Thanks Ken
