  1. I know Covoure works well and many of you have good experience with it as well. I recently just tried Fullmore from Spensor Forest and I'm pretty surprised after my first application. It is like a COvoure but in a spray can like hairspray. You spray it on like hairspray. Today I used it just on my balding area in my crown and used Toppiks on my front. Anyothers out there experienced Fullmore?

  3. If you look at Donald Trump's picture 10-15 years ago in the 1980's-90's, his hair is styled the exact same way it is now but a lot more thicker. The part is in the same place but it doesnt look like a comb over because it is pretty thick. If you compare to how it looks now, the style is almost the same but he is A LOT MORE THIN all over-- thereby giving him a more comb over look. He was on the TODAY show 2 weeks ago and had the host pull his hair at 2 different angles to show viewers it isnt a wig.

I think the Donald now in his 60's just has gotten thin hair over the years and instead of cutting it short and styling it different-- he keeps it the same as he did when he was 40. He might have had some work done on the interior but I doubt it-- he just very think with long hair.

  4. All Toppiks users: Toppiks has a new device to help minimize Toppik use and provide a more even spread of Toppiks. Last week I went to Forrest Spenser to buy another bottle of Toppiks and noticed they had a new device for Toppiks called a Toppiks spray pump? It cost $20 and you put it on the top of your Toppiks can and air spray Toppiks to your hair. When I saw I thought, hey another gimmick, but I said what the heck $20 is a tank of gas. Well, I'm been using it this week and it is increadable. You know when you shake Toppiks by hand and areas that you have a lot of thinning/balding, sometimes toppiks get "splotchy" or "Patchy" looking and you have to put more on to make sure it is covered? Well with this air spray it emmits a fine even spray of Toppiks that has a complete even look.

I highly recommend buying it if you use Toppiks-- it's great and it preserves your TOppiks and prevents excess usage.

  5. MHR has a new website up that shows some patients pics with a "zoom" ability to get a close up on all angles of the hairline. Pretty great technology. I personally do not care for MHR, but this "Zoom" ability on their pics is pretty good (yes Wade Boggs is one of the pics).

  7. FoxLox,

I'm thrilled that your HT from Lehr is turning out great-- way to go! I never meant to discredit Dr. Lehr in my previous post. I never went to him-- only Dr. Norwood on 4 different procedures in the 90's and the last 2 procedures Dr. Lehr assisted Dr. Norwood-- that's my only contact with Dr. Lehr. At the time--6 yrs ago, Dr. Lehr seemed like an eager, intelligent, straight forward surgeon with the patient's interest in mind. As far as the "less experience" than a Hasson/Wong or Shapiro doesnt mean he has little experience-- just less than the TOP 3 docs above. Expertise/perfection comes with experience and those 3 have more than Lehr, hands down, because they have been in practice longer and had more cases. No doubt that Lehr is a good surgeon-- probably in the Top 25 but in my opinion I find it hard to think he's in H/W, Sharpiro's league right now (he has potential and might be getting there). But you wouldnt put Micheal Vick in the same league as John Elway or Dan Marino (or Allen Iverson in the same league as Majic or Micheal Jordan). In time Dr. Lehr might be in that level and according your your results and others-- it looks like he's heading in the right direction.

Keep the hair growing and best of luck dude.

  8. Propecia can cause a decrease in libedo and ED. I've been on the meds for 7 years and noticed it after about 2 years on the drug. It comes and goes, However, when it is an issue- Viagra definately does the trick and then some. When you have this problem, take some Viagra and it will be like your 18 again.

  9. Noble I know of Dr. Lehr. Of my 5 HT procedures, Dr. Norwood did 4 of them. He was the pioneer of HT for decades and was the Hasson/Wong/Sharpiro of his generation. He retired in the late 1990's. However, Dr. Lehr trained under Dr. Norwood the last 5 years before retirement. Then the last 2 years he became partners with Dr. Norwood and did most of the surgeries while Dr. Norwood focused on academics/teaching and getting ready for retirement.

On my last 2 procedures in the mid 1990's with Dr. Norwood, Dr. Lehr assisted. Dr. Norwood did all the work, but on the last one, Dr.Lehr did the donor disection and closing of the donor site.

From my experience(however indirect), Dr. Lehr seems like a very intellegent (I think he finished #1 in his medical school), very sencere about the patient, and at that time eager to learn as much as possible about HT. I dont think he has had any bad PR, and overall is probably an average physician with good potential. He's just younger then the H/W's and Shapiro's and hasnt done as many cases. In time, he might reach that top level.

He probably has such a low price to draw in more patients and to draw people to Oklahoma? One good thing, when I flew there, I got a direct flight to Oklahoma City which was easier than I thought.

Hope that helps, good luck, but dont decide on a doctor just based on price. Go for a consult, look at pics, and ask to see patients in person. Talk to him about future hairloss and check out his techniques.

  10. Try soaking your head in water (in the bathtub) for several minutes a day. THis will loosen the scabs and help them fall off naturally.

Your hair might take up to 6 months to start growing-- however most of the time new growth starts 3-4 months out and continues through 12 months.

  11. Yes, many people dont know about Grapefruit as being a potent "absorption" additive. Pro athletes have known this for years and drink Grapefruit not only to increase metobolism, but to increase absorption of certain supplements. Grapefruit inhibits a major enzyme in the liver that is reposible for metabolizing-- the P450 enzyme to be exact. With this enzyme inhibited more drug/supplement go into the the system/bloodstream. Many hypertension (blood pressure) drugs have a warning about taking Grapefruit with particular medicines because it does increase the peak plasma levels of the drug in the bloodstream. For some drugs, like bloodpressure meds, it can be dangerous. For others like Propecia and nutritional supplements, it can have a positive effect of getting more drug in the system.

  12. Dude,

Yes your hair is thinning, but given the pics you showed and your age. I wouldnt recommend a HT for a few years. Take propecia daily and extra strength rogain over the next 24-36 months. Then look at HT by a top surgeon who can predict future hairloss in your 40's and 50's. Good luck, and dont sweat it-- take the meds and wait a little longer-- you will be happy in the end. I had my first HT when I was 24 and now almost 15 years later my donor area is limited on how many more HT I can have.

  13. I've tried progain when it first came out at the same time I started rogain-- about 7 years ago. I stayed on progain for about 5 years before going to Nioxin which has been better for me. With Progain I didnt noticed anything different but with Nioxin I noticed thicker/smoother hair.
