  1. Hi, i had a first hair transplant in which i am not so happy about the density but will probably not go for another round of hair transplant as i am still 25 and want to keep my donor somewhat for the future. before picture afters now after research turns out the best SMP provider in egypt is egyptinternationalhairlines (same name of facebook and instagram and website), i know i cant post a direct link but i hope someone might check their profile, they charge around 150$ pers session and around for the four session (which actually is the same price as a hair transplant in egypt, they are not cheap by egypts standards lol), I went there for a consultation, what surprised me is that artist stressed that i have to get 4 sessions for the SMP to be complete regardless of the spot i applying it to (although i would prefer one or two sessions max to look natural and not too much), he told me if u do one or two sessions it will fade very quickly over the course of 2 months even (which makes zero sense), while the four sessions last around 2 years before requiring a touch up session. so what do you guys think? also will it look natural on my crown since there will be transition from hair to no hair completely?. below are some photos of their results , he told me they will go over the whole scalp. also if i am considering HT in a year or two will it hinder the hair oxygen supply in the crown maybe? they have branches in florida and other US states as well. i was told to tag @hairthere for opinion 😀
  2. yeah i was not awfully sad about till other doctors mentioned it, and one of them told me he probably extracted more than the 3500 probably like 4500, then i got a bit anxious. if i desify the hairline and do the crown i would be so happy with it, but i think i will wait a bit per other members recommendations, as this is definetly my last HT since there are 2000-2500 left in the scalp donor that can be extracted. i dont think i have any native hair on the front mid or crown anymore its all transplanted (can it still fall off if i am only on minoxidil?), if not i dont see the sides receding till i am 40 or sth
  3. thank you for the detailed answer. honestly i am feeling way confident as of now than before the transplant and i kinda needed at this stage of my life (24-30). but yeah the next transplant is probably the last one since i will exahust all the donor so i might follow the advice and wait. do you think the transplanted hairs might fall off eventually if i am only on minoxidil? and since i was norwood 6-7, by waiting for the loss to stabilize do you mean the side receding or do you mean wherthe the implanted hairs will thin out also or not?. i will definetly make a post on the SMP section to see whether am a good candidate for that or not. and for the donor i was told by 4 doctors it currectly has around 12000 grafts and our of those we can extract 2000-2500 at max
  4. yeah, my fear is that he lied about using only 3400-3500 grafts, i have had one doctor tell me that what is implanted here is more thatn 4k-4500 grafts. but if i denisfy the hairline and crown ill be actually really happy about it since i was norwood 6-7, but am starting to feel worried about that since members are telling me to hold off and see what happens in the future, you think the transplanted hair might eventually thin out and fall if am only on minoxidil?
  5. The man, the myth, the legend. I always refer to your videos on hair loss subjects and and try to share among the egyptian groups and communities ❤️, currently i am only on foam minoxidil once a day, biotin, and some other hair strengthining sprays (vinchy decros and seropipe). i would love to try oral minoxidil but its banned here in egypt due to some cases of severe blood pressure drop sadly. i discussed fin with multiple doctors they all told me that they monitored patients tests and what not while they were on it and it did some trouble (because of the ethnicity, not that fin's side effects are that common), i will definetly contact Dr. Barghoutti . actually there is one of the doctor that i visited last week (he is the definetly the best or the second best here in egypt) that was very interested in verteporfin and made videos about it that he is monitoring the studies closely (i can communicate you with him if that would benefit the research). as per the suggestions of the members here i might hold off surgery for a year and do SMP. either that or do the hairline and crown with 2000-2500 grafts but that will exhaust all the donor, what do you think?. keep doing god's work mevin ❤️
  6. it wouldnt let me comment yesterday 😅, yeah i actually sarted losing hair when i was like 19. since almost all the frint, mid, crown were all gone. do you mean by final pattern is whether the sides will start to recede as well? , zarev is a dream surely, but i dont think i would ever be able to afford that sadly
  7. Hello gatsby i was following your journey throughly :), i am actually really eager to try oral minoxidil but unfortunately it is banned here in egypt due to some cases of severe low blood pressure. i discussed fin with multiple doctors they all told me that they monitored patients tests and what not while they were on it and it did some trouble (because of the ethnicity, here in egypt, not that fin's side effects are that common). i might just do that and stick to SMP for a year or two and see if the sides recede in my hair, do you think minox is alone is suffiecient in keeping the transplanter hairs or are they in risk of thinging out and falling?
  8. i am trying to send you a PM of the top clinics here but it wont let me (probably because i am still new here), i am actually really eager to try oral minoxidil but unfortunately it is banned here in egypt due to some cases of severe low blood pressure. i discussed fin with multiple doctors they all told me that they monitored patients tests and what not while they were on it and it did some trouble (because of the ethnicity, not that fin's side effects are that common). I am strongly considering SMP after this thread instead of going for a second transplant, but i am worried it would look unnatural in the crown as the crown doesnt have hairs already, what do you think?
  9. yeah the thing is here in egypt it is very affordable (even more than turkey), top notch doctors would probably charge you 500-600 dollars for 3000-5000 grafts operation. thats why i had mine at early age, sadly both my family sides are bald, i think the baldness is kinda complete in my case no? the only thing worrying me is the sides receding downwards
  10. thank you for the reply :), yeah seems definetly the case, i am on topical minoxidil and biotin and some derma rolling here and there as of now (really considered minoxidil but egyptian males do not have the strongest sperm count and fertility so the side effects of it is way more common), and i am still 25 so i thought i would rather have kids in the future :D. i dont know if i can post facebook links in this forum of the three clinics i am visiting as of now but they are the best here in egypt based on all egyptian forums and reviews (which approach of the three doctors you think is best), also do you think i should wait for the HT (maybe the verteporfin might actually pull it off), or just go with it and be done with this dilemma?
  11. thank you, i was not feeling it is way off at first, till other doctors pointed it out, do you think i should go for another one for now and get done with it (a bit in the hjair line and some in the crown) or should i wait and do smp (although it would look bad in the crown as there are virtually no hairs there as of now). i am just worried that later on in life the sides would recede and i get that "hair island" look while having no donor to do anything more.
  12. Hello, one year ago to my misfortune i went to a hair transplant doctor (in which later on i found out he has quite a bad reputation, sadly for me he was recommended for me by one of my friends), below are the photos pre operation and these are photos of the operation and one week to 3 weeks afterwards and finally pictures as of now (12-13 month later) i was told this is 3400-3500 grafts extracted and placed, now i consulted some other doctors and some of them said that was true, others say he extracted and implanted more (4000+) and that it wasnt a good HT, i feel awful specially that i am still 25 year old and now only have around 2000 grafts to be extracted from the scalp before it is completely exhausted, what are your opinions on this, did he butcher my donor and was it a complete failure?, now am looking to get another HT to partially correct the first and add to the crown,i went to a couple of reputable doctors in which they said the following: 1- first one told me he can extract 2000 from scalp, and 500 from beard (will exahust everything), and will put 1600 in the crown and the rest all over the hairline and midscalp. 2- second one told me he can extract 2000-2500 from scalp and leave the beard for future (in case something happens), will put 1000 in the hair line (first 2 cms) and the rest in the crown. 3-third one told me he can extract 1600 from scalp, and either fill the crown or correct the first transplant not both, then a year later if there is any left in the donor he can go to the other area. so do you think i should go for another HT as of now (specially that i am 25 and most probably will exhaust all the donor) or should i maybe go for SMP, and wait for maybe when verteporfin is a viable option in Hair transplant. i am genuinely feeling awful thinking i did myself wrong and let myself being butcherd not doing enough research regarding the first transplant :(. thank you all
