  1. I would have preferred some close-up pics of the hairline but considering the number of grafts used I think the following results are great. There are also some particularly successful cases of his on Reddit and on Hair Loss Conquerors on FB. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/68763-dr-gokhan-gur-nw4-3220-grafts https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/69065-dr-gur-fuecapilar-clinic-nw-iiiv-3038-grafts/ https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/64403-2679-grafts-dr-gür-fuecapilar-my-experience/ https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/69063-dr-gur-fuecapilar-clinic-nw-iii-iiia-2688-grafts https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/69635-dr-gur-fuecapilar-clinic-nw-iiv-diffuse-thinning-in-the-frontal-area-1959-grafts/
  2. I really admire some Gur recent results, both here and on Reddit and HairLoss Conquerors. Tbf I am not that familiar with Bicer's work.
  3. Unless I am mistaken, Pekiner is still charging 2.7 Eur/graft.
  4. I feel I have to state this for people who may be reading this but there are many doctors who can produce a far better result with the use of 4.400 grafts. The survival rate does not look great. It's ok-ish (probably a bit better if hair are left to grow) but it's not great. I really don't like the fact that Yaman uses these big number of grafts with mediocre results. Good luck in the next steps of your journey!
  5. Hair darkening is among the known side-effects of minoxidil, particularly in its oral form, if I am not mistaken.
  6. Gur's standard package is at 3.800 Eur and I believe his results are superior to Yaman's.
  7. I am sorry to see how this turned out but cudos for being so detailed and help other people avoid Yaman. Gur has nice results in NW6 cases like yours. Then Turan, Nader, Pinto are also choices probably worth considering.
  8. This is a very interesting thread. Apologies for slightly derailing it to ask for a suggestion! I consider both donor maintenance and strategic use of grafts/efficient coverage among the most crucial parameters in choosing a surgeon. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to go for a 9 eur/gr surgery with Zarev which I think would be the best option for preserving my donor (I am a NW 3A-4 and my donor capacity has been estimated at around 8k grafts). That being said, I still want to minimise trauma so I can still retain the maximum donor area capacity I can and possibly go with either Zarev or some other innovative surgeon in the future, who can extract more grafts than conventional surgeons. I am wondering if anyone has any views on the extractions/punches and subsequent trauma that Pekiner, Gur, Turan, and Freitas perform and cause, which are currently the options I am considering (I also have a schedule consultation with Couto for 2025 but this will take longer) and who among those you think may be the best option focusing just on extractions/trauma? Or, otherwise put, who among those is the best to minimise the grafts lost for someone like Zarev or future Zarev disciples to operate on me some years down the line?
  9. Hey, this is a terrific result, many thank for sharing this incredible journey! Do you have any pics of the hairline?Would be nice to see it too-thanks
  10. Congrats on your result 👏 I think this looks really great given the are covered and the amount of grafts used. Just wanted to ask what is your sense of your hair at the front-do you feel they could be denser?
  11. If you can afford it, just go for a consultation with Zarev. A consultation is not that much of a cost. If someone can give you a decent head of hair it's him (I do not think Pitella and Sethi are on the same league as Dr Z).
  12. Would very strongly urge you to get on meds, if you are not already. I am afraid a HT is not sustainable otherwise in your case.
  13. This result is so pleasing to the eye. Just wow!
  14. If I am not terribly mistaken and just for future reference for people who may be reading this in the future, my understanding is that Kesser is 3.5eur/gr and Nader around 3.5 too (depending on the number of grafts though) and so they should be in the second category. Freitas on the other hand, is just below 3 eur/gr so should probably be in the first one.
  15. Very best of luck brother! Stay strong and persevere!
  16. You are kind, thanks (4-5 might be a bit of stretch, don't be so pessimistic, 3 are usually fine for even the highest cases!) Again very best of luck!
  17. Maybe Dr P is too harsh and they just applied some rule of thumb regarding (specifically young?) diffused thinners. If you feel your hair loss has been halted by meds, I think most surgeons would take up your case. Definitely do some more consultations. Just be conservative with HT and the number of grafts, as you are still quite young. You may also consult a dermatologist to assess the current state of your hair. Switching to dutasteride may also be an option.
  18. This is what happens with every HT. Transplanted hairs fall and they grow back during 3-12 months, that is precisely the plan. So no reason to worry.
  19. Both are excellent but Couto is the God. And he has amazing results with insanely few grafts.
  20. Donor looks pretty decent for 3500-3800 grafts taken. Let's hope they just lied to you and they just took significantly less. I think it can be repaired but you need to make a very efficient use of your grafts now.
  21. Very vague guess would be around 2000 grafts. What I take Dr Turan to mean is that he charges a fixed price for *up to* 2250 grafts. Most surgeons have a minimum number of grafts for which they charge. Of course, this does not entail that they will use this minimum number of grafts-I am pretty sure Dr Turan would be fine with using fewer grafts if you ask for it.
  22. I want to be fair in my assessment of Dr Yaman. These are all great professionals, most of them ethical and I do not wanna come across as dismissive or anything; it is easy to ruin a hard-working man's reputation just by a series of comments here and I think we shall strive to avoid that. I am not familiar with the particularities of how Yaman operates, I just had a look at his results, focusing mainly on the comparison with Dr Gur. My impression is that he is doing the incisions himself and that both extractions and implantations are performed by techs; this is similar to what Gur is doing for his standard package I believe. Techs are performing large parts of the surgery even for 1st tier surgeons; I do not take an issue with that to the extent that it is not harmful to the results. Sure, there may be other problems stemming from having different or not-so-competent teams of techs, like poor yield or inconsistent results but what truly bothers us are these results, not the use of techs per se. To say it slightly differently, nobody cares that Couto is using techs to the extent that they produce those spectacular results. My point is a more limited one and has to do with the fact that Gur uses grafts more efficiently compared to Yaman, my impression is he has better yield and I find his results (far) more aesthetically pleasing.
  23. Ah, I did not mean to second-guess your decision! If you are confident with Yaman's results then you should go for him. One of the reasons Yaman may seem better for NW4-5 and higher Nowrwoods is that he often works with a high number of grafts (5-6k), whereas Turan and Gur seem to have a cap of around 3.5-4k grafts per surgery. This is actually a plus for them imo as I believe a 2-surgeries approach is often better. But, truly you should go with the doctor that makes you feel more confident and whose results appeal more to you. Best of luck!
  24. Most of the reputable doctors ask their patients to be on treatment for a year or so before they perform surgery on them. What is slightly different with Pekiner is that you cannot get your case evaluated/cannot book with him until you have been on treatment for 8 months. At least this is what I understood from Alex. I assume that there is a practical reason behind it: given that you may get significant regrowth with meds this may change the number of grafts needed and thus the number of surgery days. So, they would need to know whether you are a two or three-day-surgery and they won't know that properly unless your needed grafts can be properly estimated. Also, the waiting list for P is pretty significant, so asking the patients to come back after they have completed an 8-month treatment period could help filter out the unserious people and avoid redundant evaluations.
  25. Thanks for sharing your journey, I believe this will turn out great!
