  1. Hi all, My clinic gave me some graft enhancement sprays to use for the next week. A few questions. 1.) What difference do these sprays make in graft enhancement/survivability of grafts? 2.) It is a bit hard to hit every single area on my grafted area (zones 1 and 2), how meticulous does one need to be to get the mist from the spray on literally 100% of the grafted area? I am doing it myself so I don't have someone who can look above my head and do it for me. 3.) Do the sprays just enhance the result or are they crucial to grafts being able to survive? 4.) For those of you that did sprays, what was your experience-were you able to spray over the grafted area 100% of the time of did you miss some spots occasionally and had good results?
  2. Here is my first day post op of 3000 grafts to zone 1 and 2. How does it look? I am starting post op care today
  3. What's up everyone! I just had a 3000 fue to zones 1 and 2. Just wanted to get any advice from veterans. 1.) How long does it take the grafts to be fully secure? I see there are so many post op instructions but I am curious what actually "knocks the grafts out" and "ruins the transplant"? I am planning to stick to my post op religiously, but am curious. 2.) How will you know if all your grafts securely implanted? Will you be able to see it at the 14 day mark? 3.) Will you be able to tell visually if any grafts didn't survive at the 14 day mark due to poor post op? Or does it take longer than that to know? 4.) Any advice based on your own experiences? Thanks a million. When I get to six months I will post a before and after!
  4. Thank you all so much. I greatly appreciate it. The point about the sides of the head thinning helps me understand and not worry anymore
  5. I read that build up of methylmercury from fish can cause anagen effluvium though? That is why I am worried.
  6. Hi all I tried to post this before but I think it didn't go through. For context, I have a transplant this week. I eat a pokebowl with ahi tuna and salmon 3-4x a week for dinner for the past year. I was not aware of potential mercury toxicity and am now a bit worried. I learned it can contribute to hair loss. I have 75% of my hair but it is diffusely thinning in zones 1 and 2. Could the mercury from the ahi tuna have contributed to my hair loss? If so would this make a transplant not work? I am unable to get tested until after the transplant so I am a bit stuck. Thank you so much
  7. Hi all, My clinic told me to avoid vitamine E capsules and multivitamins that have vitamin E and to avoid alcohol. How important is my diet in the week before the procedure however? Will it make a huge difference in the results of the transplant? I normally eat: a starbucks breakfast sandwhich, meat and veggies, maybe a serving of fruit, and some rice. Dinner is usually some fish and rice and slight greens. This changes each day. I used to take a full on nutritional supplement but had to stop. Any expert advice here?
  8. Hi all, How do you deal with pre-transplant nerves? I am quite nervous leading up to it just because so much is out of my control. I had one previous 1200 graft transplant in 2019 at Bosley that didn't do anything and I have chosen one of the top hair restoration specialists in the US for the procedure. He has incredible results and glowing reviews and I researched him for a year before committing. I am not going to name him but I will post a before and after and name him once I am done so you all can see the results. Were you all nervous leading up to it? Also, I have moderate thinning in zone 1 that is only noticable when you are close to me. I have a "see through scalp" effect, but the rest of my hair is decently dense. I am just getting this zone 1 issue corrected. How long do you think it'll take for it to look like I just have a buzz cut instead of having had a procedure? Since I am just thinning a bit in zone 1 (still have my hair line, it is just see through and thinning), I am curious of whether or not it'll just look like I have a buzz cut from month 2 onwards. The areas that are going to be transplanted will be in my hair line and behind it. I am sure this is a bit vague but just curious of other's experiences. Thanks a lot.
  9. Hi guys! How hard is the post op care? I have a transplant in a few weeks and the post op care has me a bit worried. How is the specific washing technique done that you are supposed to do post hair transplant? Was it hard to do without disrupting the grafts? I would love to know how the post-op after care period was for you all.
  10. Hi all, How did you deal with having a shaved head in terms of people in your life noticing and going to work? I have long hair and am going to get my hair buzzed for an FUE transplant but worried about people noticing even though I am taking a month off on my own to recover. Would love to know of people's experience.
  11. Hey guys! I currently have a few minor health issues (nothing diagnosed, no major health conditions according to western medicine). -fatigue -long sleeping periods -congested sinuses -used to have a thyroid issue, resolved I don't feel like I am at my peak health. I feel like I am at like 70% of where I used to be when younger. Does any of this matter for long term transplant success? Has anyone gotten a transplant with an underlying health condition like hypothyroidism, celiac, chrohns, GERD, or any physical condition and gotten success? I am trying to figure out whether I should delay my transplant till I figure out why I feel a little unwell. Have had covid twice this year. Thank you!
