  1. If I was a nw4 I might rethink my stance on meds, but being a 6 I don't have a whole lot left to lose. I plan to go back soon to add density, and if theres any future loss ,I'll probably still have some scalp reserves left, and I can always throw my whole beard at it if need be.
  2. Hang in there my man, it definitely gets brighter... youre not gonna believe the explosion of growth that's coming, it will blow your mind : )
  3. Looking right on schedule. Cant wait to see your results in a few short months, its going to be remarkable!
  4. Forgot the second half of your question, after reviewing photos of my donor Dr Das said I should have at least 3-4k more grafts, between scalp and beard. Im hoping to get back to India this year for a round #2
  5. I have opted to take no meds, my body is so sensitive to any foreign substance. With my luck I'd be that 1% guy. I take no multivitamins either. I just eat an extremely healthy diet of mostly whole foods, and tons of excercise.
  6. Let me first start out by saying I realize I am creating this post 8 months after my HT... admittedly, if the HT failed, I didnt want to bear the pain of being a public spectacle ON TOP of the grief of having a failed HT lol. So after being depressed for years with a shaved head, I finally chose to pull the trigger and do something about it. I had long been hesitant as I was worried I would spend lots of money on a HT and not get a result I was happy with, but I finally reached a breaking point where I realized money is just money, and if it could buy me a lottery ticket to possibly having hair again, it was worth the risk. I chose Dr Das and flew to New Delhi July of 2022. I explained to her I didnt want to do half my head first then the half later, I wanted full scalp coverage in one go, and would return for density later. She said my donor looked good and they would try for 5-6k grafts. The surgery was spread over 3 days, just under 24 hours, and was mostly painless other than the administration of the anesthesia. They took 6005 grafts in total, 4200 being from scalp and 1805 from beard. Dr Das was incredible; very knowledgeable, took the time to answer my questions and address any concerns that came up. It was amazing to watch the techs work, they were so fluid, like a well-oiled machine, you could tell they were experienced and worked well as a team. They made sure I was comfortable at all times, and even let me choose the music they played. Before flying to India I really didnt know exactly what to expect, but seeing how great the whole team was quickly put me at ease. It turns out I have a really weak stomach for medication, particularly antibiotics, because the morning after the surgery was over I got extremely sick in my hotel room and experienced intense vomiting and diarrhea. I began to worry, as I was alone in a hotel room in a country foreign to me, not sure about the logistics of getting to a hospital. Eugenix' post care follow up team coincidentally reached out to me to see how I was doing and I told them my scalp felt fine, but my stomach was in bad shape. With a sense of urgency they had their driver bring me back to the clinic and they put me under the care of their resident physician. What a relief. They even got a gastroenterologist to meet with me and make sure it wasnt anything serious. Drs Sethi and Arika heard there was a sick patient there, and came into the room to check on me and express their concern, as did Dr Das. The physician and a few others stayed with me in the clinic until I started feeling better, which was about 11pm, then they sent one of their staff to stay with me in the hotel, and monitor my situation throughout the night to make sure it didnt worsen. When we arrived at the hotel I told him repeatedly, "Ill be fine, please go home to your family", but he wouldnt hear of it. He insisted I was his family too, and wanted to make sure I was OK. Wow. What an experience, all in all. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the staff and particularly the kindness and care they showed me after my procedure was over. It kinda made me want to stay in India : ) . I hate being cliche but I must echo the voices of many other HT patients on here and say that I only wish I had done this sooner. Choosing Dr Das and the team at Eugenix turned out to be no risk at all, I truly saw that I was in great hands and they really are the best!
