  1. Maybe the scalp form have changed, idk but I certainly had straight juvenile hairline when I was 16-17 years old. However it's been long time since then. And my body undergone a trasformation that time thanks to puberty hormones. Can't the surgeon just alter the angle of incision depending on the area of the scalp ? Sorry for bad drawing, I observing my head closely I can depict them growing approximatelly with next angles: Can the hair styling alter the hair angle/direction?
  2. Thanks! Don't worry, I've found a few bad surgeries on them from this forum already. Would you approve Keser, Pekiner, or Resul Yaman? )
  3. This reasoning makes total sense to me. Thank you for such detailed explanation. Between the red line which respects correct FT-angle and current edge is still a big gap of 15 mm remains to cover.
  4. Maybe it's 2D effect of the photo but frontal corners doesn't have 90 degree vertical. The green line is not my drawing, it's corrected design from ASMED - Dr. Koray Erdogan, Turkey clinic. As I learned they are valued as a respectable clinic on this forum.
  5. Thanks man! "with the complete recession that he had in the early 2000s" Do you mean he had a HT after 2000s?
  6. -"no surgery performed anywhere in the world would be able to mimic, let alone appear as natural as your hair is now." Do you mean on a micro level? Like unnatural density or directions? - "The hairline you have drawn is far too low." -"Now, that is not to say you can't have surgery. But you're trying to be too aggressive." I don't plan to lower my hairline which determined by central point, the last living hair at the center(blue cross at the image) or alter the temples. I want to refine frontal corners by lowering them to the same level as my central point(blue cross at the image). Is it still considered aggressive? Also I expect HT to fix asymmetry between left and right sides: -"You have a good head of hair, the pros outweigh the cons" What are the cons if I will be in hands of a great surgeon? -"Most surgeons will not perform hair transplants that would appear juvenile because the likelihood of future balding in your 30s is high. " Why this would happen if I have no history of hairloss in my family past the state I'm right now? -"There is no surgeon on earth that will give you a better hairline that what you already have." I used to have juvenile hairliine in my 17-s like the next guy has: But after puberty period kicked in, my frontal corners receded. This give me appearance I don't like, it enlarges my forehead when looking at profile projection. I just wanna lower my front corners to the central point level to straighten up the hairline when you look at my face from the front. -"I would really encourage you to give both finasteride and minoxidil at least a full year before even thinking of surgery." Can it regrow already minituarized hairs from 16 years ago on front corners? -"If you commit to surgery now you have no idea what the future holds" Can't I rely on my family history? -"Your donor area is DHT resistant but it is not DHT 'proof.'" I can put up with using finasteride for lifetime. -"but one thing you will committing to is a lifetime of surgery to chase that low hairline" Doing it once will be sufficient. I don't want to lower my central point(the last living hair at the center), just straightening the shape by lowering front corners.
  7. The light one(turquoise) line is what I expect from HT procedure, thumbs up for the design :) I will able to put up with finasteride for lifetime if it won't give me sides or will cost a fortune. I've already started 1mg on alternate days, so far, no side effects. Minoxidil - I would rather ditch if possible, because oral is too risky and topical is inconvenient to use on regular basis. How do think, the area above turquoise line can be regrowthed jsut with PRP + finasterid + minoxidil treatment?
  8. I know that fin + minox is necessary to avoid further hair loss But does their usage still make sense if you have no history of hairloss in you family past the state you're in right now? -I'm very curious about what one of the clinics told you with regards to fin + minox and the possibility of experiencing hair "regrowth" They didn't say it can regrow, only improve my condition(aka improve hair quality😞 -"Another one said that my hairline is only slightly accentuated, it might not even be operated on. And claimed I can possibly improve my condition by taking oral minoxidil 5mg along with finasteride 1mg. " I wish it could fully regrow. I have a friend with Norwood 6, he's got good results after using mesotherapy. However, no full recover happened for him. On the other hand he never used minoxidil or finsteride. His current state after the course: (not me, don't confuse) Maybe, I'll put a HT on hold and go for medications + PRP, PRL or whatever mesotherapy treatment. Frankly, the whole idea of becoming dependent on medications which have side effects just for aestetics is kinda repellent. I have put too much faith into HT because I thought it can do it once and forget. Subjectively my reasoning seemed solid to me, - I get transplanted a highly resilient to DHT hair follicles, hence I shouldn't worry about them post surjery; - I have no history of hairloss in you family past the state you're in right now;
  9. Your doctor did an amazing job! Can you still differentiate a native hair from transplanted one? Do they grow in correct direction? Do you still follow any post surgery medication regimen like cialis, minoxidil, finasteride?
  10. Yeah, I'm certain I had it when i was 17 years old. I just want to restore it. I have learned some people called juvenile hairline and it's natural to lose it when you become an adult. However, I don't like the appearance it gives me now. Few people commented i have a way to big forehead because of it. If restoring straight hairline aka. juvenile hairline with HT can't be permanent I wish to learn this beforehand from this forum. I still don't understand why one clinic said it will last at least 15-20 years. Other in unison say minoxidil + finasteride is must have regimen post surgery till the end of life. Aren't they transplant highly resilient to DHT hair follicles which would make using finasteride irrelevant?
  11. Thanks guys! This a great info. He indeed lowered his hairline. Me on the other hand want to cover the frontal corners without touching my temples. This will not lower the hairline which determined by central point but only lowers the corners to the same level as central point.
  12. Here also, can be clearly seen that front corners are asymmetrical: This man here doesn't have gaps in front corners, so his hairline look straight, even rounded. I want to have something close to his:
  13. Why is it so many? Just randomly picking a recent HT result from another branch of the forum give me next: They covered a huge are with only 3100 grafts and hairline look very natural and dense to me.
  14. "move the hairline up just a few millimetres at the middle, maybe 2 or 3, from where you've got it" This makes sense to me considering 1/3 to 1/3 ratio and I starting to get the aesthetics of it. However, I'm not making this up, there, at a blue cross resides a fully matured hair sticking out without siblings to hand out with. I consider it to be a base level of my inherent hairline design which I used to have when I was 17 old. "restore all the loss on the front corners for only 1000 grafts". I'd love to have this option suggested by any clinic. That's very conservative. Can clinics be trusted with their projected number of grafts? Can they abuse the number to inflate the price? Because there's a huge spread among evaluators. Only keser clinic was on the lower end of projection. They gave 1500 grafts based on my pictures. "This would leave you with a youthful Norwood 1 hairline, this is risky in the long run because you may continue to lose hair behind the grafts. So use meds." I hope I will not based on my family history. Is it relevant or am I putting to much hope into it?
  15. Clinica de Freitas - they were actually very helpful and their feedback was more like a recommendation and not an absolute decision. And they're open for HT if I'll insist, Cyprus HDC Hair Clinic - they just left me without any clarifications as for their decisions cutting my followup questions, ASMED - Ankara - Erdogan - gave a polite rejection. However after my follow-up there I described my expectations, they re-qualified me for HT with 2000-2400 grafts.
  16. That was just an example. I have a couple of friends who have the same hairline design which is inherent. They never underwent any HT.
  17. Thanks for the advice! I start researching different Mesotherapy options like PRP, PRF. Do you think I should stick to PRP? When I try to match 1 to 1 with a Norwood scale my profile picture then I definitely see highly elevated and receded temples and look like Norwood 3 to me:
  18. Thank you ! Unfortunately, I won't be able to find any quality photos with head profile from 16 years ago we didn't have digital cameras that time ( Center point for me is a point where the last fully grown living hair follicle of mine sits. I use it as a base and draw horizontal line across it to make my face appear like it's having somewhat straightish hairline. Because that's how I perceive myself being of the age when i was young. Also a couple friends of mine have a straight hairline when looking at their face from the front and I quite enjoy the look.
  19. Hello everyone, I'm 32 years old. I have a receding hairline. All of receding happened when I was 16-18 old, the so-called puberty period. Both my father(55 years olds) and my grandfather(75 years old) have a receded hairline at the temple areas, like mine. Their state doesn't differ much from mine at their senior age. Based on that I guess that my receding is already stagnating for a long time. Last year I got really concerned about my appearance and committed to do something about it. I stumbled on your forum, started researching the subject. 4 months ago, I started taking finasteride and 1 month ago applying minoxidil solution. I've sent enquiries to several major top tier clinics from hairrestorationnetwork recommendation list and was getting ready for a surjery. However 3 of them rejected my case, wording it as I don't need hair transplant procedure. I got really discouraged after this because the subject seems to become very controversial. Most of them claimed I will need 1500-2500 if i decide to pursue this matter. Next pictures are meant to highlight my expectations: One clinic cautioned me that I don't get a natural hairline after HT, it will always be either too dense or too sparse. And even, they more warned me to not get carried away with some clinics who promise me otherwise. Is that true? Another one said that my hairline is only slightly accentuated, it might not even be operated on. And claimed I can possibly improve my condition by taking oral minoxidil 5mg along with finasteride 1mg. What can I expect by following this regimen? Does it promise 80, 90% restoration? Or will it thicken miniaturised hairs to the level of fully grown adult hair? Another clinic stated that implanted hair, based on their own personal experience lasts at least 15-20 years. Is that real? I thought the hair from the back of the scalp is highly resilient and lasts till the end of his life. All of them claim that I will have to take finasteride + minoxidil medication forever. I assumed it's just a general recommendation. However, I would like to clarify if it's still a necessity in my case based on my inheritance traits I've layed out in the begging of the post about my dad and his dad having the same hairline pattern at their old age as I do have right now. And also, my receding has been stagnating since my puberty period. Next picture is a preliminary design from one clinic. I worry what they gonna use too much grafts because they claim they try to cover the empty spots in the area above the hairline which looks totally normal to me. And 2000 is the half of my donor area reserve.
  20. Was it a plain FUE technique? How many grafts did they transplanted? Based on your description, most of the work was done by technicians. Doctor has only done design and made slits/aka. channel creations.
  21. Hi, thanks for sharing. What's the price tag for procedure? How're you doing right now?
