  1. Well guys, it's been almost six months since the horror show I wrote about in this thread: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/66383-say-it-aint-so/ Here's my donor area (3800 grafts extracted) a couple days after the procedure (first 5 pictures) and what it looks like now at 5.5 months. How does it look? Doesn't seem all that thinned out to me...
  2. By the way, the new hairs don't all start sprouting at once, right? The way it is now in the front, it's only really growing in on one side so far. But the other hairs can start growing later... right? I'm almost at 5 months now.
  3. It's growing in but stringy, with the hairs kinda far apart from one another. But the grafts are yielding! That's nothing short of a miracle given the circumstances.
  4. Got my first HT haircut. Donor area looks thicker than I anticipated. Will post photos as soon as I can get someone to take them.
  5. That's good to hear. I respond REALLY well to minoxidil and Propecia, too, so this oral version intrigues me. Apparently it works better than topical. Looking into Dr. Nader as it would be very convenient and easy for me to get to his place. He already told me that I was a good repair candidate. Wonder if I should try to finish off McTyre's "career" or if I should just forget about it lol. I'm thinking about siccing the Reddit HT forums on him. 🤣 I really don't appreciate being conned and butchered like this. Having trouble just letting it go...
  6. By the way the more I hear about Eugenix the more excited I get. You think they'd be willing to take me on? What are their wait times like? Also oral minoxidil sounds pretty amazing. Think I might get that because I've been on oral finasteride and topical minoxidil since the operation.
  7. There have been, yes. It looks like the front might turn out halfway decent. Also the donor area has grown back extremely thick. Like, it looks like no grafts were taken out of it at all. Seems that most of the "grafts" taken out were transections that grew back. Will post photos when I get a minute.
  8. Starting to sprout in the front and crown, believe it or not. I figured these clowns managed to kill all my grafts but it looks like some of the poor little guys made it through the ordeal. Like I said a couple posts up, I think the front may end up looking halfway decent as they put enough grafts in that area to complete (somewhat) the thinning front that I already had. Also my donor area has grown back really thick, so I have a fair bit to work with. And I'm responding very well to Rogaine and Propecia as I always do. Just now found out about oral minoxidil, which apparently works even better than topical, and I'll be asking my doctor about it soon. I will post pictures of all this here in a month or two when there's really something to see. I appreciate everyone's support through this whole ordeal; the psychological aspects of it were the worst and you guys helped with that immensely.
  9. Found this. Looks like McTyre got the company out of delinquent status last November. https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_co/20211542068
  10. Fellas the front is sprouting! My front never was that bad in the first place (see attached before and after photos), so the 750 or so grafts I got might actually make a small difference.
  11. Lots of very thin stringy hairs sprouting out of the crown. Nothing growing in the front yet. Rest of old surviving hair much thinner because of Rogaine/Propecia shed.
  12. Right, it was three months on the fourth on January.
  13. There are several little stringy hairs on the crown poking through where it used to be smooth bald, but nothing on the front so far. Assuming all the grafts in the crown in the picture on the first page yield, what will it look like grown out? Like I have hair there but it's thin?
  14. So I'm a week into month four and none of the grafts are growing as far as I can tell. But that's normal, right? I'm on Propecia plus Rogaine at bedtime.
  15. Thanks. The big revelations about this bunch start on page four I think, but yes I revealed everything.
  16. I think the front might come in somewhat ok. It's hard to see in the photos because the light is so intense and my hair is so light, but I actually had somewhat decent coverage in the front and they did fill it out "in between" the existing hairs somewhat. The crown is gonna look like ass though, right? Straight rows of grafts that are too far apart, yes?
  17. I hadn't planned on it before a year, this October, so don't worry.
  18. Yeah I got that from you, lol. So you think the donor area looks pretty decent? You think I'll be good for a repair job from Nader? I was expecting the worst based on this photo:
  19. Couple quick shots of my donor at week 11ish. Looking OK you think? It looks pretty much the same as it did preop to me, except for being thinner a bit on the sides. This is more evidence for my theory that they just transected a huge portion of the grafts, leaving the follicle intact. I hope...
  20. I want to take these people down. You can't F me over like this and get away with it. The guy's 67 and just declared bankruptcy. Would be a shame if his revenue stream is cut off at that age and in that financial situation! But hey, he's old enough for social security now, so he'll be fine. ☠️☠️☠️
  21. Dr. Nader finally wrote me back today! All is not lost I guess.
  22. By all accounts I got somewhere between 1500 and, at most, 2500. Was supposed to be 3800. Here are some pictures of what 3700~3900 actually looks like.
  23. Was looking at Cortez brothers and some other places. Will probably go with Nader but didn't know about him until before the procedure.
  24. Now in addition to getting ripped off by the guy I have to go to Mexico anyway for the repair job.
  25. That's exactly what happened to me. Was going to go to Mexico. Found the McTyre place in Las Vegas and was like "Wow, now I won't have to leave the country!".
