  1. 2 month update 8 weeks today since my procedure with Eugenix. Have included some photos from earlier today under different light. Had my first trim at 5 weeks. Didn’t touch the top, just the sides, although clearly they need doing again. Hadn’t really noticed too much shedding as of yet, but having seen the photos in outdoor lighting today, it may well have started.
  2. 1 month update 28 days since my procedure with @Eugenix Hair Science which has gone extremely quickly. I don’t think I’ve experienced too much shedding just yet. I’m sure that’s right around the corner. Hoping to have my first post op haircut/shave in the next few days. Undecided whether or not to do the lot or just the sides/back. Not a great deal else to report. Still taking hair meds as recommended by the clinic as well as the usual 1mg of finasteride. Are there any other medication/supplements People would recommend at this point?
  3. Day 15 update All seems to be on track so far. Again, the aftercare from Eugenix has been great. They’ve been in touch regularly throughout. They asked for an update 13 days in, I still had some scabs so they requested I tried to get rid of those and could be a bit more aggressive in cleaning the recipient areas. Perhaps I was being a little over cautious. Scabs now off and donor seems to be healing well too. day 5 Day 7 Day 10 Day 15
  4. I had my surgery with Dr Bansal last Friday (06/01/2023) This was my second hair transplant after previously having a procedure done at Darling Buds clinic in India in 2015(FUE). I had between 3000-3500 grafts (I can’t remember/find the precise amount) I was pretty pleased with the results, but there was still some noticeable thin areas like the crown and behind the hairline/mid scalp, as to be expected. With fibres I was able to disguise this, I also had SMP done in 2019. I have been on finasteride 1mg per day for the best part of 8 years. My 3 main objectives were; 1. Improve density in the crown 2. Improve density in and behind the hair line 3. improve the density in the midscalp Initially Eugenix felt I needed 2500 grafts, with roughly 2000 coming from the scalp, and the remaining 500 coming from beard grafts. Upon closer inspection the day before surgery, they felt 1800 would be enough to give me what I need. Surgery day The surgery started at around 11AM, the first few hours flew by I actually fell asleep a few times and was woken up for lunch about 2PM(I didn’t sleep much the night before due to jet lag and still being on UK time) we picked up again and carried on until about 8pm. Once they had cleaned me up and gone through the aftercare instructions, they gave me some dinner and took me back to the hotel for a good sleep. I stayed a total of 3 nights and flew home two days after my operation (Sunday 08/01/2023) My experience with Eugenix so far has been excellent. The communication throughout has been outstanding. They are always there for you on whatsapp. They made the whole process really easy for me. The clinic is clean and modern and the staff are all very friendly. The hotel they sorted out for me (The Westin) was great. The hardest part about the whole thing was probably getting the visa to travel. shout out to @Bandit90 & @Zoomster for their help and advise, and everyone else with their informative posts about Eugenix. Will be updating and checking in regularly, any questions and advice are always welcome. All the best!
  5. Think I'll probably give it a good 4-5 weeks to be safe 💇‍♂️ The buzz look suits you mate! A few months of that while you wait for the growth will be no problem! 😂 Counting down the sleeps (If I can get this visa sorted 😅) Just been having a look back at your updates after your second procedure (I have a wedding in July which will be about 6 months post op). if it looks that good after 2, then your updates after number 3 are gonna be unreal!
  6. Karl, thanks for reaching out! Looks superb mate. You would never guess you've had 9000 grafts from the donor. Great shout on buzzing! Will definitely be doing the same. Will look unbelievable in a few months time. Is it a month you have to wait before shaving? I am visiting the team at Eugenix at the start of January. If it ends up anything like yours I'll be a happy happy man!
  7. Karl, firstly what an unbelievable transformation! I’m sure you’ve heard that hundreds of times already, but this is sensational! secondly, apologies for coming all the way back to May. I am in the final stages of booking to go with Eugenix in January. I had a video call earlier with Dr Das and the chap that I’ve been in contact with throughout (his name escapes me). Dr Das has concerns over my donor area due to my previous transplant (you’ve sent me a couple of messages on my thread previously I tend to have my hair shaved at the back as a zero. She felt I would need to wear my hair longer going forward as the donor will look sparse/patchy after another load of extractions. I see you’re going from a 0.5 up to a 2 here which still looks class and nice and short, and the donor area still looks spot on.. giving your experience do you think I’d have issues after another procedure if I was to have a zero or low grade fade? here is a photo just after my last hair cut followed by one 5 days later. any thoughts and advise as ever would be greatly appreciated! Finally, I just want to say thanks for posting your journey and all your updates and photos. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say your thread has made researching a much simpler process! looking forward to seeing your progress after your 3rd procedure over the coming months. Thanks again Karl 😃 🤝
  8. @Buck Naked Thanks mate. I was thinking maybe it's due to the fact I'm a fairly new account. makes sense I guess. I did see a post about 'bots' and fake messages a few weeks back so maybe that explains it 🤷‍♂️
  9. Is there a reason I can't send any messages on here? Whenever I try it says 'You are only allowed to send zero messages per day, please try again later'
  10. Is my donor area below average? Having just received some feedback from one of Dr Bisanga’s patient advisors. They have told me that I would need an in person consultation to assess my donor area and to check the recipient areas as it is no longer ‘virgin’ scalp. they also said growth is not able to be guaranteed. I do understand this as they want to make sure results are optimal, I am now wondering if my donor area is strong enough for what I need. And if the recipient area will be good enough for new grafts. As I said in a previous message to @Melvin- Moderator + @ZoomsterI have been in touch with Eugenix. I have slight trepidation now as there have been a handful of less than ideal cases with donor management recently (although it’s important to point that that is amongst the hundreds of successful/well managed results) I would love to know if anyone has any thoughts on my donor area(s) I have also included some photos of beard as I may need to go down that route for the crown if I don’t have enough grafts. Although I am very limited in my knowledge with regards to this. thanks all
  11. Thanks for the replies lads. @Zoomster @Melvin- Moderator I should have mentioned earlier, I have been taking Finasteride since before my first transplant. I started in 2014 I believe. So unfortunately that hair isn't going to develop anymore than it already has. I have also had SMP which was done in 2019. I think you're both right, when I have fibres in (basically all the time) then I can get decent coverage. As I said, the first transplant was fairly successful I would say. I'm now looking to address the crown and get that filled and add some more density to the Mid-scalp and hairline, which Eugenix seem more than capable of doing. I guess my only concern would be the donor area as I've already had a number of grafts removed from there previously. Would you say I still have enough (roughly 2500) in my donor area not to worry about issues after extracting there? I was thinking about having a look at some of the recommended clinics in Europe. However, I don't mind the travel to India (I'm from England) although of course closer to home would be easier. Would either of you guys recommend a certain package with Eugenix for what I'd need? Looking forward to following your boys' journey over the next few months! Cheers both
  12. Hello all...32 year old male looking to get a second hair transplant here. I had my first procedure back in 2015 with Dr Bhatti at Darling Buds. I was pretty pleased with my experience and was satisfied with the results. I believe I had 3000-3500 grafts (I need to check this) I am now looking to get a second transplant. As you'll see from my photos, the crown area is the area that needs most attention. I would also like some more grafts added to the frontal hair line and into the mid scalp area to add some more density. I have been in touch with Eugenix and they think I need around 2500 grafts to achieve the desired results. I have seen some unbelievable results on here from Eugenix, particularly @Zoomster+@Melvin- Moderator amongst many others (apologies, I have forgotten your usernames) I feel comfortable putting my trust in Eugenix, but felt I should see if any of you guys have any comments or thoughts regarding which surgeon/clinic would be best for my particular needs as of course everyone is different. I have seen a couple of posts regarding some issues with donor area when it comes to Eugenix. They feel my donor area is still sufficient for what I need, without going into the beard. Anyway, if any of you guys have any advise, opinions or thoughts, I would love to hear from you. They aren’t the best photos and some are under harsh lighting. Thanks in advance guys!
