  1. Thanks, and after getting prescription from dermatologist did you get it from like cvs? Also does oral minox require prescription? I thought minox doesnt require prescription.
  2. I googled and found some online websites but are they all trustworthy?? What is the official route? I have seen bisanga prescribing it.. can you get the prescription without getting HT from him? I tried searching “how to get oral minoxidil” and did not find easy answers. as for my fin I got prescription through lemonaid and getting it from amazon pharmacy. I hope I can get oral minox from some reputable source? thanks
  3. Does the oral minox from alldaychemist work well? What % is that
  4. Thanks for the reply. Crown area being the toughest to do HT on, any thoughts on the best course of action for me? I recently started finasteride and i wonder how much it would be able to bring back my hair. I dont have spots where i dont have hair but certainly crown and top have very thin hairs. i am currently considering smp first and then see how fin helps and then try HT?
  5. I wonder if there's any online prescriptions possible for oral minoxidil, as is for finasteride? Or for oral minoxidil, do you have to go to see a dermatologist or doctor?
  6. so I've done finasteride for about 2 years, 10+ years ago. I've recently re-started finasteride (well, trying branded propecia first, was just a bit worried about sides, got generic ones ordered.. will try those). After the first few days I think I got used to the sides. But I think there still is the same brainfog I experienced always (even 10+ years ago). But it's something I can manage for long-term I believe. Now.. considering oral minoxidil, so this didn't exist before to my knowledge. I know it can cause lotsa hairs throughout the body. But how more effective is fin on top of fin? Like Fin is FDA approved for bald issues, but minox isn't right? If I were to do both, will Fin be doing 95% of the work, and minox gives 5% work? or how will it be?
  7. sorry I meant to post this in another forum.. how do I move the post to another forum?
  8. What norwood is this, if I have hair-line intact? (I feel like norwood only does O+M, not just O, in South korea for example they have more refined scaling system.. maybe i'm just not well versed in the norwood system) now: 6 years ago:
  9. btw I guess your photos are not directly good comparisons to initial photo, since your hairs are now longer for better illusive coverage.
  10. @Captain Haddock and another one I saw I forgot where I saw it, but if you keep following threads you can probably find the names. This one has some related discussions:
  11. Hi, I am relatively new to the forum. I actually was on the brink of deciding eugenix as my first HT ever in my life, but some concering posts have been made by some of the members it seems. I still did not discount eugenix (considering premium package by bansal, 3rd one), as some of the bad cases on the forum could simply be outliers with complicated history for example. But just wondering from the standpoint of quality control, I wonder if I have to go for the highest version by dr. pradeep if I wanted to take less risks for example (ie avoid rush plans or divided attention by doctors or roulette of technicians?). The highest package doesnt have a price so I cant estimate how much it will be.. and I suspect at that pricepoint it would be similar to getting HT from one of the reputable ones near the country I live in? (Usa or canada). I guess mexico isnt too far either. if anyone has already looked at this related topic extensively or anyone who has perspectives to share, please do. I am diagnosed with NW6 (the crown picture was taken in sunny day outside) but with full hairline intact(i wish norwood system had this variation.. so my crown suffers from miniaturization). I am actually nor sure nw6 is the right classification but anywas was quoted around 4000 grafts. My main concern is the crown area.
  12. But oral form is more effective right? and also easier to do everyday I guess?
  13. I can't tell all these anecdotes of people on youtube/reddit are genuine or not.. certainly people talk about generics giving them less positive results, and more side effects, some even report massive shedding after switcing to generic from branded.
  14. Yeah when I posted this I wasn't experienced with how searches work, so it was hard to find information by just typing "propecia, psychological" or something like that. Then I realized there is a separate forum called Hair loss drugs, and search allows me to search only within the forum (but even then.. I don't think the search function on this forum is ideal.. it doesn't pop up many previous answers I'm seeking). And yes I was aware of the nocebo effect, but "more likely" is what I knew.. was surprised to hear the consultant say it is "all in the head", like "all", which I doubted and decided to ask for opinions here. Perhaps the consultant didn't mean to say really "all", but he did so, being off finasteride for so long, I thought some facts changed about it and wanted to know if it really is all "psychological", and hence I don't have to worry about side effects if I get my mind straight. But apparently it still is the same thing since 10+ years ago.. just "more likely", not "completely psychological". Some side effects are real.
  15. I'm trying to get the branded propecia, because I remember I had a bit worse side effects from generic finasteride.. also there seems to be many anecdotes where people got worse results & worse side effects from generic versions. (maybe some other materials included in the pill other than the finasteride is interacting differently for some people?) I used to get propecia for 54$ or so in Canada and it seems to be around that even now. But in US, it seems to be 100$+ from GoodRx, and amazon pharmacy. Is this the expected price in US? Anyone in US taking branded Merck propecia? where do you get them?
  16. Ok so I'm trying to get porpecia, but it doesn't seem to be that straight-forward. So many sites like keeps/forhims/lemonaid etc available, and even amazon pharmacy seems to have it for amazing deal? Some of them require prescription, and some of them seem to require "ok.. prescription that is sort of pre-approved... order first..?" I've been reading stuff online and it seems branded propecia seems to be more effective than the generic one (lots of reasoning, and also many people saying it's not true, and many people saying they tried generic not much impact, with branded success etc). If I type "branded propecia purchase" on google.. the sponsored "forhims/keeps" come up lol and they sell generic versions. I think accord has propecia? but is that in UK? I'm in USA, michigan. Where can I get stable supply of branded propecia? (I've seen cases where they got the branded propecia for 3 months, then pharmacy ran out of it, suggested generic, tried generic for months, lost all the hair they gained for 3 months..) Any thoughts/help?
  17. Oh.. that bad? I thought eugenix was one of the accepted clinics on the forum?
  18. @Royce any reason why you shortlisted down to Dr. Nader & Dr. Bicer? Did you also consider, for example, Eugenix (bansal) or Dr.Maras ? Wonder what your process / criteria was in shortlisting to those two.
  19. I'm trying to get finasteride, and I talked to my doctor and she said she wanted to do bloodworks before prescribing them (I have no medical conditions, recently done bloodwork for annual health checkup, 2 weeks ago). I think bloodworks outside of preventative care costs like xxx$ I've been prescribed finasteride long time ago, the doctor then (diff doctor, in canada, not usa), didn't need any bloodworks before prescribing. Is bloodworks common for finasteride prescription? Also, how "legit" is keeps finasteride? it looks like they try to take payment for 3months prescription before consulting doctor lol Any ideas?
  20. I tried finastride about 10 years ago, for the duration of 2 years or so. I had a bit of decreased sexual drive, and on some days my head would feel like "blank.." and get the sort of "brain-foggines" where I can't think clearly. After I stopped, these problems didn't surface again for 10+ years till now. I'm considering going back on it.. and I was just talking to a eugenix consultant where he suggested it's all psychological (where if we worry about side effects, more likely we get the side effects, so positive mindset is more important). What do you guys think?
  21. I had a quotation and they mentioned due to the DHT technique they use, if 1500 grafts are transplanted, 1500 can be expected to survive. I thought the rate of survival wasn't possible to be really 100%? what are your thoughts?
  22. I searched around 10 places in Turkey via google like bluemagic, veraclinic, dr. serkan, mediclinic, asme, estenove, etc, etc and contacted them. I was so excited at first lol, but after reading a whole bunch of comments here regarding "hair mills" and all.. not sure anymore on going to Turkey, especially when the famous ones would likely have all things booked for many months at least. Anyone have experiences in the ones in switzerland or south korea? (switzerland cuz i'm traveling there, Korea cuz i'm Korean)
