  1. I dont know about Weiland's. It seems a little too recessed to me. (BTW, STP is one of my favorite bands of all times. Saw them live last year 3rd row, and was one of the best shows i'd ever been to!! Second after TOOL :] )
  2. Welcome! This forum is the best online source, IMO, to find the latest news and approaches to hair loss. I even find this forum as my "comfort zone". Members on this forum are really grateful and willing to help in any way. Now first off, forget Bosley lol. Anyone who's anyone on this forum will tell you to steer clear of them. I can't count how many people i've chat/read about that regret spending their money and time based on the horrible results they've received. My second recommendation is to get the cost out of your head. Cost should be the last thing to consider when choosing who and where to get your HT. I realize most don't make tons of money, but you have to realize a few things. Worse case scenario, you get a HT with a doctor because he is cheap, and you end up with horrible/poor results and a huge scar preventing you from shaving down in the future if you choose to do so. And you spent alot of your hard earned money on it!! Do your research. This forum contains tons of information on the top surgeons that perform hair transplants, as well as pictures of their results. Second, im not sure of your degree of loss (maybe post some pictures), but you should give propecia at least a year to see if it halts your loss. Some even experience regrowth. Give Rogaine a good while to see if it helps as well. And if you end up deciding to have a hair transplant, start putting some of your extra money in a piggy bank. Start saving now. But like i said, the most important word you will ever hear on this forum is RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!! I wish you the best of luck my friend. Sincerely, Empty Area
  3. Brad Pitt does have great hair, no doubt about it. I actually considered him, but i know that color and styles ive seen int he past wouldnt look good on me. And james dean is a great choice. I didnt even think about him...
  4. I decided to start a thread for a little bit of fun. Not sure if there was a thread similiar to this already started so i figured i'd start a new one anyways. If you could pick any celebrity, be it actor, singer, etc's hair/hairstyle, who's would it be??? I'd have to go with Chris Carrabba from Dashboard Confessional. His dew looks great, as i've noticed in alot of pictures and performances.
  5. Agreed with PanamaJimmy. I apply that thought process to almost every situation i encounter. Things could alwayssss be alot worse.
  6. i see im kind of late on this thread, and hopefully you are still doing your research on this forum getting your learn on! Im surprised no one has suggested a hair system to you yet. Being as you are young, and a HT is not recommended, and hair system IMO would be your best bet, even financially. This will at least, temporarily if not permanently, boost your confidence and attitude. Of course, get on the meds as the others said, that way if you do decide to go the HT route, you'll be able to see if the meds made any difference. It's a bad situation man, for lack of better words. But these are the cards we have all been delt. I wish the best of luck to you bro.
  7. Seeing results like this makes me so anxious! I can't wait to book my appointment for October with Dr.Arocha. I have complete confidence in his work when seeing results as this.
  8. I was using Minox, for a solid year.(man did i hate using it so much!) And was also using it in tandem with the Finastride tablets i was ordering online. Again, i'm not sure if the pills i was getting in the mail from the online pharmacies were legit. But, it wont kill me to get back on it again with the RX i will be getting.
  9. Great point sparky. Even if it just halted my loss, i'd be ecstatic. But regrowth would be a dream. Like I mentioned earlier though, I should be getting my rx within the next week/week and a half. Ill definitely do what you said and document the monthly progress once I start up to my procedure. Hopefully 5 months on propecia/Fin will do me some sort of justice. Reducing the # of grafts or halting this curse will make it all worth it. -Empty Area

  17. Thanks for your help again Bill!
  18. First off, Let me say that i appreciate the time an effort you put into this forum and the help you provide many Bill. We haven't spoken here before, so it's great to meet you! Thank you for the estimate. As far as propecia goes, i'm currently in the works for it. I was ordering it online, but i got really really suspicious. I had ordered from one pharmacy, where the pills were made in India and then shipped to canada for distribution. They were then shut down and i ordered from a second online pharmacy, and while splitting the 5mg pills, the "loose particles" were tasteless. It just made me questionable, you know? So i'm playing the safe bet. Got my paperwork filled and consult done. RX from the doc is soon to come. Kinda good to start it now as i plan to have my procedure done this October. Wish i would have made this decision earlier. P.S. If you haven't noticed, I'm a rambler
  19. I'm guessing the 3K estimated from Sparky is an agreement amongst us all?
  20. I've also got a question while on this topic regarding financing the procedure. As far as my situation, my in person consult with my HT Doc won't be until the day before the procedure. I've talked to Dr.Arocha on the phone, and had our online consult and discussed the procedure, options, how much i planned on having grafted. My question is, since the # of grafts is questionable until the prior day, how should i go about financing the procedure? I've only financed a vehicle once in my life, and this is sort of a weird situation for me. Do i just request a loan for an ammt to cover the most ammt of grafts that i will get/want? Or should i wait till the day before, as the application will be reviewed and are quick about approving/disapproving applicants?
  21. Here are some more. Let me know if you guys need more/different angles. Taking pictures solo is a little harder than i thought!
  22. Thats what's I kinda figured. I told Dr.Arocha that I would be looking to do anywhere from 3K to 4K.
  23. Ive decided to go with Dr.Arocha for my HT after doing some thorough research on this forum for about a year. Ive done my online consult with him and will be making my leap this october. I was wondering what number of grafts you guys might suggest that i head for based on the picture i included. I know nothing is official of course, and things will may change once i see dr.arocha in person, but i just wanted a reference or ball park figure of what some of you who have been through HT's before could suggest for a satisfying outcome.
  24. The reason that minox suggests to be put on the crown, and not on the top or front, is because of legal issues. Minox, during test studies, was only applied to the crown of the recipients. Though the results were great on the conducties, this doesn't mean that the makers of Minox can just say, "Put it anywhere, and hair will grow." But, this doesn't mean it won't work. I've read cases on this forum and others that it helped alot of individual's hairlines, vertex, diffuse thinning, etc. It all depends on the person. And as far as what the box says......it's just a result of paperwork. As for your other question, i'm not familiar w/ t-gel so i won't be able to help you there.
  25. sorry to say, but you've unfortunately wasted your money more than likely. I too fell into the marketing they have advertised online, and unfortunately experienced nothing. The reason i say it's a waste is because tons and tons and tons of people have tried this, and i have yet to come across a case of someone that showed results after using this product. The marketing is pretty smart in itself. They have spent alot of money advertising "testimonials" of so called "users". Yet on 2 forums that i post on, no one has shared a successful experience w/ provillus. Sorry
