has anyone lost there HT hair?
denonnn replied to hairdude83's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I am right now experiencing the same. Since 2/3 weeks my transplanted hair is falling out. It is shedding massively. In the morning when I brush my hair, I have approx. 40 hairs in my hand. Almost all the hair on top of my head was transplanted. Most of the time the hairs which fall out are strong thick hairs. I am really freaking out.... all help is welcome! -
losing hair from prior transplants
denonnn replied to sea of possibilities's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi I am experiencing exactly the same. I had 3 HT’s and I am also not on meds. My last ht was also 6,5 months ago.: - June 2009 (approx. 2.500 FUE on frontal area) - March 2010 (approx. 2.500 FUE on the crown) - December 2012 (approx. 2.000 fue mid section, temples). Right now, I am approx. 6,5 mths post op my last procedure. However, the last 2 weeks I am suffering from a lot of hair loss. Never had this before. Transplanted hair, from previous procedures and I think also the last procedure is falling out. I can see through my hair and it really feels thinner. What happened to you? Did it all grow back? Almost everytime I touch my hair, hair is falling out. -
Hi all, Right now I am 2,5 weeks post op. Since I have some defficiencies, My doc prescribed me some vitamines: Vitamine A Vitamine D B12 Magnesium I get some really high dosages. And also I am on Minoxidil. Is it ok to use these medication, also in combination with minoxidil, after a ht? Thanks!

Worried, 11 days post op only stubbles
denonnn replied to denonnn's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Really? Because all other times I had a transplant, the grafts were much longer when they shedded. The left side didn't grew since the operation..... normally after the HT it grews a little bit before they shed. I am a bit worried that there is something wrong. -
Hi all, 11 days ago I had my 3rd hair transplant. However, my left temple looks strange now after 11 days. Seems that the transplanted grafts didn't grew at all after the operation. They remained as very small stubbles. What I see on post op pictures on this forum, is that with most people the grafts grow until the shedding. Is this normal ? Please see pic.

sebaceous cyst/glands after HT
denonnn replied to denonnn's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
dr. lindsey thanks for your reply. I had 2 big HTs. One in the front area, where I didn't had any problems. And the last one was on the crown area, where I have the cysts now Maybe the fact that hairs in the crown area are placed in a lower angle, increases the risk for cysts. For me, now the main important thing is to cure it. Because I lost some implanted and full grown hairs due to these cysts. I hope they will grow back? Do you have any idea how I can cure it ? -
Hi all, I'm having sebaceous cysts in the recipient area. I am approx. 6 months post-op at the moment. One or two cysts did come up one or two months after the HT, but I didn't took it too serious. At the moment I have 2 larger one, where the hair also did fall off. Does anyone experienced this also and how did you cure it !

no all scabbing was gone 12 days post op. I even almost shedd all the implanted hairs. But since it got swollen and is still a bit red, I am verry worried. You know, that 3 or 4 cm2 place I bumped my head I have paid a lot or money for !!

Hi all yesterday I bumped my right temple. I am 3,5 weeks post op. I became red and a bit swollen yesterday. Today it's still a bit red. Can this effect my growth? Thanks

shedding at day 6 and 7 post op
denonnn replied to denonnn's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi all, I am 7 days post op now and the scabbs start to come off. But in almost all of the crusts a short hair is included. I think I lost from day 2 until day 5 post op on average 7 or 8 hairs per day. And day 6 (yesterday) and today approx 25 hairs per day. Is this normal? I had a 3000 FUE. Thanks, DENONNN -

Hi all, I was wondering, when a graft is FUE extracted. How long can it kept outside the body before it is placed in the recipient area. I suppose the best is to place it back in directly, but most of the time this is not possible. The surgeon has to make the slits first. But how many hours can they stay out. Thanks, DENONNN

preparations for a fue for easy extracting
denonnn replied to denonnn's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi all, what kind of preparations can one have for a FUE so that the grafts come loose easily. As I read in several boards, with some people the grafts are extracted difficult and therefore the procedure takes longer. I also read that for example H&W ercommend some massaging before a FUT. I can imagine there are some techniques also which you can do on forehand to ease the FUE HT. Thanks all -

my pics and your advice
denonnn replied to denonnn's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
no i am on no med at all. I am losing hair now for 10 years ! I think I'd never do strip. I have a dense and good donor, according to the FUE doc up to 10K is possible. At first I will not take a very low hairline. Density is more important for me. I think I will do the crown area in a second HT and at the same time then lower the hairline a bit.
