  1. @Melvin- Admin that would be great thanks for you great work talking and pushing doctors to try this.

what about second @DrTBarghouthi trial, didn't he said he would schedule two trial patients? is there any schedule for next one and what will be different? can include recipient area and see if it reduces redness and shockloss after HT or hair regrowth without HT? also in donor doing bigger areas like half left donor with verteporfin half right donor without would be nice to compare more visual result for patients and if it is worth.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the mid part of the donor area scalp.

@DrTBarghouthiNew trials are not going to include also injecting verteporfin in recipient area? It will be nice if you can test in recipient area in empty area to see if it promotes growth and in recipient transplanted area after HT to see if it helps with redness/recovery/shock loss reduction

I still believe Dr. Barghouti has the best intentions, but this is taking endlessly long. After all resources and time spent on this new trial could have been used otherwise to make progress in verteporfin.

To avoid the speculations, it would be good to have transparency and know what's going in the background. Also that would help to decide our future moves.

@DrTBarghouthi as ethical and caring doctor, please share with us the progress and your plans. We really need to know what to expect to make important decisions.

I agree with this comment, many people are waiting and postponing HT waiting on these verteporfin trials results.  The new trials were supposed to start 1 year ago and have been postponed so many times.

    Just an update:

It's healing exceptionally fast. One thing of note, which I've never encountered before in previous donor healing: no post operative redness in the incision line since closure. The fue extractions also did not ooze any inflammatory exudate post-operative, which is interesting.

I confirm the healing outcome has been different after injection of 50mg Visudyne.

so do you think verteporfin can also reduce redness in the recipient area after HT? many people have redness in the recipient area for 3-4 months after HT if vert can reduce this redness, better healing and maybe shockless phase after HT that would be another amazing point to use this. I think Dr. Barghouthi said he will include testing in recipient area.

  5. in telegram they are saying Longaker is pending on approval of another product similar to VP for scar/hair, maybe that is why he delayed all calls with @DrTBarghouthi to delay all this until his product get approved.

"Longaker has a product (that is not vp). The patient is pending approval (it’s not approved as previously I said). If it gets approved, it will all depend on what Longaker is willing to allow, and also on them marketing and selling the product. It could lead to a situation similar to what’s happening with vp. Of course the product will be way more expensive than vp"

"If they don’t get the patent, Longaker won’t do any trial btw"

He was ready and sat a date until you woke up one morning with the idea of contacting Dr Longkar who we all know wont share anything, so somehow you created this frustration with the continuous delay and people calling out Dr.B . Also all the “we shouldn’t pressure Dr.B” talk is fine when he was funding the trial from his own pocket as a favor for hair loss community (which we all appreciated and still do) but lets not forget someone here donated 15k for this … I myself donated 20$ which I know is nothing but since he or whoever in this group went the donations route and actually got what they asked for then it becomes a different type of obligation and priority and doesn’t fall under doing us a favor anymore.

I agree with this, if there is someone that invested 15k on this to speed up the process you should go ahead and not delay, if there was already a volunteer and date there is no reason to postpone, all investors/donators are expecting results soon. Maybe Longakar is just playing to delay all this on purpose and want to do his own research, how can someone be so busy and cancel so many times it just shows a lack of interest on this project. Go ahead with the new volunteer as soon as possible and we will be all happy.

Hey man, I have been using the liposamal dutasteride from Dr. Knap at curemyhairloss.com. And honestly I think this is basically a cure. You can Ask him to formulate your own percentage of dut aswell. He is a doctor based in Denmark though so don’t know how temptikg that is for you if shipping costs Are high but this stuff works.

how long have you been using? what is the price? how much you apply, concentration and when? everyday? and why you think is a cure?

  8. @DrTBarghouthi thanks for update! looks promising! when are you starting tests with higher dosis? we all want to see more of this coming :)

are you aware of any other doctors doing this or asking about this to try soon? As someone else said before we should create some kind of summary doc about this so other doctors can read about this and not have to read all threads here and get lost and then send to most of clinics who want to participate.
