I think it is too early to say shedding as it is 16 days not 1 or  1.5 month to say the hair are going to shed

I've seen many cases that started shedding this early. If I were you I wouldn't worry until maybe month 7 or 8. Anything before that is just incredibly different from patient to patient and surgeon to surgeon.

The exact timelines are very individual

  2. Some surgeons have performed studies on this. After about 5-7 days keeping the scabs no longer improved graft survival. And from then the longer they stayed the worse graft survival got.

After 3-5 days the grafts are fully secure in the scalp anyways, so the scabs aren't doing anything helpful anymore.

it's bc the 25% VAT tax is pretty shocking and hard to swallow, especially considering the base cost of the HT itself is already costly, and if you are a foreigner you are not used to this VAT tax.

And also, if you are not a Belgian citizen, there is literally no ROI on the VAT tax. You may as well be lighting this money on fire. At least when you pay US taxes (or taxes of whatever country you are a citizen of) you are at least benefiting from government services, tax refunds, etc. Unless you are getting some type of social service from the Belgian government, there is no ROI.

If these doctors were to promote the VAT tax and/or include it in the original cost, it would dissuade many people from going.

That all being said, I'm fairly certain Bisanga patients do not have to pay the VAT tax.

If I have to pay it, I want it included in the cost I'm quoted. Otherwise it's just false advertising.

Everywhere else in Europe has VAT too, and they don't list the price without it included.

As a patient I don't care how they end up at the cost. I just want to know what I have to pay.

  4. I haven't had any issue communicating with them. Though sometimes I do need to ask for some clarification.

I personally use the Dut mesotherapy at the moment. Mainly I wanted to see if something with a once a week application would do the job at maintaining my hair. So far so good. No side effects, and no noticeable loss from making the switch from oral finasteride. Maybe still too early though.

I personally use a 0.5mm dermaroller in the areas I want to apply the solution, and then apply the 2ml afterwards. I do that once a week, as instructed by the pharmacy. It's a bit uncomfortable to be honest. The solution burns a bit on the needled skin and leaves the scalp "hard"/ and a bit sensitive for a day or two.

From what I was told there is enough solution for 30 weeks, but they can only guarantee full strength for the mentioned 4 months. You'll most likely still be fine using it after, it just might no longer have 100% strength. I'll definitely use it until I run out.

I don't see a point in using both the mesotherapy and the topical together and also the CB. What makes the topicals interesting is that it's a way of limiting side effects, and using so much so often would negate that. Might as well use oral Dut at that point.

I'd probably recommend the LipoDut for you. Seems like sides are less likely and not having to microneedle (and ending up with the sore scalp) is quite enticing.

  5. I am kinda having the same issue. I'll have to be in Thailand later this year anyway, so it'd be very practical to get the procedure done while there.

There are tons of posts by Dr. Laorwong himself. But there are very few by patients that actually end up posting final results. I can only find two good ones, and those are years old.

I prefer seeing some patient posted reviewes, just to be sure there is no pre-selection going on. The lack of them (or the amount that never end up updating) is definitely making me hesitate.

  6. Hey Guys!

As the title suggests I'm unsure if I'll want to remain on fin for life.

I've been taking finasteride for about 3 years now. I'm very healthy overall, and I can still "perform" sexually. I have however noticed that my sex drive has slowly been going down, and I generally feel lower energy than I used to.

That could of course just be aging, but I'm only 28. Bit early for that I fell. I have managed to get a reliable source of oral Minoxidil, which I seem to tolerate well. So I'd definitely stay on that. I'm currently Norwood 3-4 I'd say, but from many father's hair I can surely say I have a predisposition to NW6/7. My thought process is, that if I go somewhere decent for an FUE procedure I'd probably still be able to rock a shaved head if it comes to it.

My question really is if pursuing a hair transplant would still be a worthwhile idea despite maybe getting of fin at some point?

Surgeons like Pittella or Zarev make it seem not totally unreasonable, I guess?

Edit: Maybe I should add that I'm not looking to achieve a NW1 hairline. A good NW2.5 would be be plenty fine for me. I'd simply like my face to be better framed and to stop being so bothered by the slightest gust of wind.

  7. Hey guys!

Quick question regarding this treatment: The stuff sold by FueClinic comes in 60ml bottles, and is supposed to be used 1x a week at 2ml according to the site.

But then they also state it expires after 3 months.

Why would they ship a 30 week supply, when it's only supposed to be good for 12 weeks?

Or should I just ignore the expiration date?

I'm talking about his pictures posted on Reddit and Bellicapelli, not here. It doesn't matter if they are posted by him or the patients, they have to be taken with a pro camera, with hair slicked back, wet and dry to be valid. You are looking at the wrong things.

Patient posted pictures are great, if they are taken properly (high quality camera, hair slicked back, wet and dry)...and guess what, 99.999% of the time they aren't, because they are taken with phones. Same with clinic posted pictures, no excuses to be a clinic and post pictures taken with cellphones or low light levels to fraud density.

You have to look at the quality of the pictures, not who posted them. Doesn't matter if on Reddit, Bellicapelli or Facebook, he doesn't have quality pictures of his work posted, either by him or his patients, period. No way around it.

Just because you say it doesn't make it true. There are multiple cases documented with high quality cameras on the italian forum.

I don't think links are allowed, otherwise I'd post some.

Either way, it's definitely possible to somewhat judge off cellphone pictures. We have plenty of posts like that on this forum from all types of doctors. As long as it's in natural lighting the quality is absolutely sufficient.

That's how most cases on this forum are presented. People getting work done abroad won't just fly back to their doctor to take some "after"-shots.

I'll be down in a month, I'll try to post as best I can after.

Sorry, it's not letting me deleted this quote.

Comparing paying in cash to incest is quite the leap. As I said, clinics recommend by this forum, like FUEcapilar, will also advise paying in cash. You can pay by card, but that will increase the price of the surgery. If that's ok for the patient, they will just have to communicate that to the doctor.

As for the pictures, that's only true for this forum, where doctors are only allowed to post if they pay the monthly fee. You can find high quality picture of cases elsewhere. I'm not trying to criticize this forum by saying that - it's needs to get financed in some way. But just because a doctor isn't active on here doesn't mean they aren't good.

Even on this forum you can find some cases with plenty fine picture quality for both pre-surgery, post-surgery, and the months after.

I personally prefer patient posted pictures, since they won't filter for quality.
