I was a norwood 2/3 and I had 2500 grafts. I talked to Dr. Rahal about a second HT and he said he could fit 1000 grafts into my temples but he wouldn't want to go any deeper because the hair behind Is thinner and he would fear shock loss. Money is a factor though and I am just almost sick to my stomach about worrying about it and I dont think I want to deal with it any more.

Thanks for your reply. Here is the situation, I am 27 years old, had my HT 3 years ago. Its not that it doesn't look natural, its just that its not as dense as I'd like it to be. Sometimes I think it looks good and I'll go out and look in a mirror with bad lighting and my hair looks see through and my confidence is crushed. Its hard to explain but if I were 40 it would be a good look, but being a young athletic guy I look good with a shaved head. I think mostly I am just sick of the anxiety about what I will look like in the future, it has really had a negative impact on my enjoyment of life and if I shave my head there's none of that worry.

FUEing a strip scar

How often is FUE done on a scar? How many grafts would be needed and How close would this let you crop? -

Saving hair for the crown

meaning that you could never possible fill it? -
Would everyone agree that you need to save donor hair for the crown? As of right now I am 27 been on propecia for 7 years and have no hair loss in my crown. If I eventually end up getting 5-6k grafts for the front of my head would that leave me enough for the crown if I end up losing it when I'm older?

Are there any advantages to either or are they the same drug? I noticed proscar costs more but the pills are larger. Can you split them in half?

How thick do you think hair on the top of your head should be? Should a surgeon even bother going in there if you have about 50% former hair or should they focus on the hairline/ temples and save donor hair for later? I guess what I'm asking is if you have good density in the hairline/ temples with the right haircut can anyone really tell if you're thinner on top?

Need some help

Also any Dr with any ethics at all would not operate on you unless you had been on meds (propecia, rogaine) for at least 6 months. If you decide to have a HT you will need to be on these for life that is something to take into account. -

I would highly recommend at least buzzing your hair short to see what it looks like. You may find you look good and this takes away alot of anxiety about balding. There are plenty of young guys who look great with shaved heads provided they stay in shape, dress well etc. I had a HT done and while I feel I definitely look better now I sometimes wonder if all the worry about future loss, financial problems and such is worth it, if I could go back I might say screw it and just shave my head because like someone said once you have one HT you are committed for life. -

I'm not worried about using up all my donor hair because this is an area I would be looking to thicken up eventually anyway. I noticed Armani only does fue now? I am planning on booking a consultation with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa to get his opinion. -
Bear with me for a minute while I explain my situation. I am 27, I had a Strip HT 3500 grafts 2 years ago with Alvi Armani. Overall I am fairly happy with the results I would just like a little more density at the temples.( I kept my hairline pretty modest, my hair looks similar to the late actor Heath Ledger to give an example) My question is this, should I look to do a FUE touch up of 1000 or so grafts? or can I do a strip surgery of less than 2000? I'm not sure I could fit any more than that. Or would it be smarter to wait until im in my 30s, see where Im at and have a larger surgery? Sorry about the long post, any advice would be appreciated
