  1. Thoughts: Lower graft count than what I wanted. Still unhappy with the temples (was told no to them). Think they just need a CM or so bringing in / re-angling. Other than that, much better than how I used to be. Looking back at the first picture before the transplant...yeah it sucked for me back then honestly. I really wish I had noticed that I was receding. I just never clocked it. The cost was good, and quickly they were able to put forward a date for a transplant was very good. The doctor was knowledgable and the team were very professional and friendly. You can't tell the hair is transplanted because it sits under my regular hair. However, if I pull back everything and just show the transplanted hair, you can see it's fairly sparse. It feels course and sometimes curls up saw-tooth like, lol. Been on fin since nov 2022 (side note, spiked my Test insanely high), applying minox once a night to transplanted area. I would consider an additional transplant, but it would probably be fairly far in the future.
  2. Yeah I think I agree. The clinic has told me not to worry about the density, but given how dense my native hair is, it'll probably need a boost. That and I do want the temples bringing in because even if it grows it'll look a bit wide and receded still, which kinda defeats the point of a HT, I think. It'll be a big improvement if it grows out good, but it won't solve all the issues I hoped it would and it'll bug me. I remember one clinic telling me I'd need two transplants to get a satisfactory result anyway. I'll just try to switch off from it for a few months and see what more can be done.
  3. Interesting. I was hoping not to get a second transplant because I have some big plans for this time next year. I think it will go that way though because it's already irritating me not having the temples done. Think I rushed to into it. What's the sort of timeframe before getting another?
  4. True. Okay. Kinda wish I pushed to get the temples done a bit, but if it grows out dense enough I'll be very happy.
  5. Just gonna bump this. I was expecting a higher figure of grafts. At consultation I was expecting up to 1800, but only 1400 went in. Can anyone comment on the density, looking at the photos I attached? Everyones immediately said 1400 is not enough, so I'm a little concerned now.
  6. Time will tell. I mean I hope I don't need another really. To me it looks dense, and I was assured it was. I've seen good results on reddit around ~1500 grafts for similar hairlines. Another clinic in the UK said 2300. Turkish / Eugenix clinics were saying around 1800-2600. So I am surprised, but the Dr said those numbers were quite absurd.
  7. Was gonna say. NW4 is a bit mean 😭. Ive posted what I look like on here before and the consensus was NW2. Some Turkish clinics reckoned NW3.
  8. The number was lower than I was expecting, but was told you couldn't really pack much more in. It's not a massive area.
  9. SurgeryGroup Nottingham. Dr Ahmad Moussa
  10. Was advised against bringing the temples inwards. Happy with the design, hoping for the best. I believe it was 1400 grafts total, around 240 being singles. Before: After grafts put in:
  11. @BoredMassively Updates? I've had interest in the same doctor
  12. After doing some research and reviewing my options, I have the opportunity to book in with FueCapilar, a VIP package (all extractions done by Dr) performed by Dr Gur. It's affordable and the date suits me well. He seems to have a solid reputation on this forum, but my concern is the lack of results I can find online for Dr Gur. The only proper documented case I can find is here from another member of this forum: https://www.youtube.com/c/HairLossSolutions. The area I'm having done is the hairline only, so I'd want it to be as perfect as can be. So yeah, can anyone speak from experience for this clinic? I also have the option to go with Eugenix, but the flight is very expensive, and it would only be one of the more basic packages. Additionally, I could get the surgery done in my own country (United Kingdom) for a similar price, but the consensus is that Europe and beyond do better work, right?
  13. Hello all. Thank you for the replies and discourse. I've actually messaged a few well rated clinics outside the UK just to see what sort of consultations I get. I still hate travelling, mind, and would worry about communication. Regarding me rushing into a hair transplant, this is something that's been bothering me for a while and I would definitely see benefit, especially because these next few years are going to be my most important. I've seen people get HT similar to the one I want at similar ages. I'd be happy to stay on fin/min.
  14. Thank you for the reply @NARMAK I don't believe my hair loss is progressive. Looking at my dad and older brothers hairline, mine is rather similar. I haven't noticed any difference in the past year. I bought some topical Minoxodil recently, and am looking into Finasteride. I'm dead set on getting a HT now rather than later. The quality of life boost would be very substantial. TruthfulIy, I haven't looked into clinics outside of the UK. I though it would be easier to get one domestically, and I have found some good results online done in the UK. If there are some amazing options in other countries, I suppose I should be open to the idea. Thank you very much for the suggestions.
  15. Hi. 26, England resident. Hairline has been bothering me greatly for years. It is high up at the sides quite, but that's the only extent of hairloss I believe. I don't know when it started (first noticed it around 19), but it resembles my dads now (mid 50's), and he is not balding on the crown or anywhere really. Doing some research I came across Dr Arshad and the HairDr clinic. I spoke to them and was given a quote of 2000 grafts to "reconstruct the hairline, mid-scalp and temple area" at £3 per graft. That all seemed okay, but since looking at posts done by their clients I've found nothing but failed transplants and a general consensus of doubt and negativity lately. Someone even messaged me on Reddit to deter me from them after I made an inquisitive post - about how their HT failed there, and so did many others. This led me to look at other clinics in the UK and I found this one https://surgerygroup.co.uk/dr-ahmad-moussa/ from a few results posts on r/hairtransplants. I spoke to them over the phone and they were very nice. Specifically, they can fit me in pretty much whenever, and they are cheaper on account of being a smaller clinic, offering a similar quotation of 1800+ for a much lower price. https://www.instagram.com/surgerygroupuk/?hl=en Their results seem good (as far as I would know), and the doctor sounds very skilled. However, there isnt a single post about them on this forum. I was wondering if people think I could get a good successful result from them, or if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks!!! here's photos of my hairline that make me 😢
