Little update on my 3. Months mark. My transplanted hair have really starting to grow! The density isn’t good but I guess that it will come later in the process 😊 My daily routine is oral finasteride three times a week (1,25mg) tropical finasteride 0.15% once a day, tropical minoxidil two times a day. I also take multivitamin once a day and have gotten two session with prp.

When I read the post I thought it looked terrible, but you look very good with short hair. No need to wear a hat 🙌

Little off topic from hair, but I thought maybe some of your wise men have the answer for this. For over a year now my nails have been in a terrible condition. In that state that I haven’t needed to cut my nails because they where just split and brake all the time. After my HT 8 weeks ago my nails have been magically restored to really healthy thick nails. I have also struggled with a lot of dandruff from scalp and beard for a really long time and that also have changed drastically better! So my question is what have helped ? After my HT I have started to take : Finasteride tropical + a week with oral minoxidil tropical twice a day one prp session Multivitamin for hair : In my head its probably need to be the multivitamin I take, but isn’t it to good to be true with only taking som vitamins ? Can finasteride also helped with this problem? I would really like to know so I’m making sure I won’t change the thing in the future that have truly helped.

ok, a little before the two month mark. But thought I'd give an update today since I got a haircut today. (This was taken at home with a clipper so don't judge the clip, lol) I was tempted to post update photos with slightly lower light, as it looks so damn much better. but for transparency, for my own sake and for those who read my thread, I take all the update photos with a very strong ring light so that the journey is as legit as possible Anyway, I lost all of the transported hair already after three weeks, so very little is new on this front. I myself feel that my hair has become a little thicker from the finasteride and minoxedil, but I know deep down that this is just wishful thinking and a placebo effect . (Started 5 weeks ago) As of today, you can't see much of a difference in the hair, but what I am very happy with is my donor area. If you look at the first picture, my donor area was only average and maybe a little below this as well, but even though they have taken 4,500 grafts, I feel my whole donor area is already starting to look pretty good. I think My clipper where with 2-3mm. Please tell me what you think.

Thank you for all the responses! This is truly a great forum! I guess I could start on 1.25mg every other day at the beginning and see how it goes! it’s only a hard decision because it takes so long to know if you have done the right thing. and @RTC, love your account on YouTube, keep up the good work

The reason it’s 1.25mg is because I’m not able to get 1mg pills from where I live. Unfortunately I need this case to be open a little longer, because I can’t seem to decide what doses to take. Some say every day, other says every other day. I’m just here trying to keep the few lonely hair on my head 😀 thank you for your input!

Thank you for the input! I can’t wrap my head around why the doctor would tell me 1 mg every day if 3 day a week is enough. I also have a follow up if you don’t mind, do you believe 3 day a week oral is better than the tropical I used two times a day ? I just don’t want to look back a year from now thinking I should’ve done something different

ok, I want to start by apologizing for creating yet a new topic about finasteride. But I have used the search button, and probably read 100+ posts about finasteride, but 90% of the posts are about side effects and micro doses. I'm a Norwood 5-6 but have a lot of thin hair on my head and I don't want to make a mistake when I first start on finasteride in the hope of preserving as much as possible. Started with tropical which I bought first when I thought myself this was most effective when you took it head, used it for some weeks now (0.15%) but was advised on this forum to rather use it orally as it was better. I have bought 5mg tablets which I have divided into four and was thinking of taking 1.25mg every day except Sunday. But with all the posts I read it seems that the majority here is getting side effects from this doses and everyone talks about micro doses. Can someone with knowledge about this give me feedback on whether I should go straight forward with regard to 1.25 mg every day or should I go about it differently? I truly appreciate everyone that would guide me on this. Took the first pill today! 💪 Cheers!

Ang here I am thinking I’m doing micro dose because of it is «only» 0.15%.. Lol thank you for giving me advice @sukh123! I really appreciate it! I guess it will be to much to apply them both, but do you think 1.25mg Monday,Wednesday,Friday will be ok to do ? Or will I risk to get to little fin and finding it out to late and loose more of my thin hair ? maybe do the tropical fin/min on the days I don’t take the pill and do rogain min the days I’m taking the pill.

No, not from the uk. As stated the pictures taken from three years ago isn’t showing that I’ve lost a decent chunk of my crown, and also the temples had been losing hair for some years. So I’ve always known the time will come.. unfortunately I didn’t know anything about finasteride that time. If I had I guess I had a lot more hair now. thank you for the feedback, I have considered oral fin also, and I have bought a package with 5mg tablets that I have been thinking of taking. (Cutting in 1,25mg) and taking it mon/wed/fri. do you think I can do it in addition to the tropical ? the tropical I’ve using is 0.15% fin with 5% minoxidil and I’m using it two times a day.

Wow, your results are amazing. If my results is even close to this I’m over the moon! 😅 But considering I’m an Norwood 6 I guess this types of results have sailed along way. but congratulations, you must be really happy with the outcome.

Tried to find some pictures from before my hairloss started drastically. Only found some from my wedding. This where taken only 3 years ago. (Crown where already losing ground pretty fast here) But look how dense my hair where considering the top photos on this posts. If you guys have any recommendations to me In addition to tropical finasteride and minoxidil that I’m using now, please scream out to me! 😃👍

Wow, great to hair that it went good! Could I ask what Norwood grade you had and how many grafts you moved ?
