  1. The recipient area looks good, but in fairness to you, your hair is very thin and with medication it could have improve a lot and save you a lot of grafts.

I have seen very similar alopecias like yours with same type of hair fixed with 3,5 k grafts and medication.

The main problem that I see is that you are still young and maybe your donor area can not afford another HT in 5 or 10 years in case you need.

Did you do a planification regarding your alopecia?

  2. Being honest with you 7k grafts for yout norwood is really high. Checking the first picture before HT you wasnt that bad, with medication and 4k grafts you could have very good results.

Any way the recipient looks very good.

Regarding the donor area is not that bad as you feel, if you place the hair correctly and dont cut it too short it wont be noticeable.

Dont panic with it. on which clinic they damage your donor area?

@JoselitoElGalloThe needle size is 0.5 mm. I am not a huge fan of dermarolling but if it can improve my current situation then why not. Also my goal with medical treatment is to go to a point where when the hair is longer the thinning doesn't become very noticable. In the pic my hair is very short in length. And if i can then be able to maintain my gains till 30 probably will consider a HT . But if at all i don't get any thickness back(which i believe can happen)i will go for a HT in a year or two.

It has pretty much sense. Dont give up on it. I just ask about 3 times because it can make fibrosis but with 0.5 lenght I dont think that there is risk at all.

    Hello forum,

I have been thinking for a hair transplant for so long, I guess I was always delaying because of  mix stories/reviewes I was reading online. My budget is limited to around 5K and based on my evaluation so far done by different doctors online, it seems as if I will need anywhere between 3500 - 4000 grafts. Of course the biggest dilemma at this point is finding the right doctor. I am using two sources for that: 1. Online resources (this forum, reddit etc) 2. First-hand experiences from people I personally know.

I am not going to talk about option 1, we both know the common names recommended online, including this forum.

I do have some other names which are recommended by friends but I dont seem to have more info about them. Do you have any opinion on the following doctors:

    1. EstePera Clinic -
    2. Dr. Nezail Demirciler -
    3. Dr. Fatih İBİŞ    -
    4. Dr. Fatih Köroğlu -

I would appreciate if anyone has experience from any of the above. Thank you

Check Antonio Burgos, in english forums is not yet famous thats why the price is still cheap, but the perfom is topnotch. You can check his youtube channel or spanish forums.

The  price is 2 Euros per graft.

Just a quick update. I will be starting with the following from tonight onwards.

    Finasteride 1mg everyday.

Topical Minoxidil 5% twice a day.

    Dermarolling thrice a month.

I talked to a local Dermatologist she was also suggesting me for PRP along with the above regimen (not including dermarolling). What are you thoughts on PRP for my condition? Is it worth giving a shot?

    Thanks.

what is the needle size of you DR? I feel 3 times a month is pretty much.

I have a surgery scheduled in August with Dr. Couto in Madrid and I was told that his clinic will be going on vacation the day after my surgery for 3 weeks and won't be able to do any post operative checks or care for me following the procedure. From reading the posts here on the forums I know that the first week is very delicate and that usually when coming in from out of town people stay a few days afterwards for post operative checks and washing. Particularly as I will be in a foreign country and there is a bit of a language barrier, not being able to see him afterwards is concerning to me. I am considering delaying my surgery, even though I know with his schedule this could mean waiting a long time I could really use the advice of people who have been down this path before as this is my first surgery ever.

-What would you all do in this situation? Would you delay the procedure or is it reasonable to care for myself without help?

-What were your post operative regimens? As far as washing my hair after surgery, returning to the clinic for the "first washing" seems to be a big deal, correct? Any advice on how to do this correctly would be appreciated. Also, what ointments/post op care regimens did your doctors prescribe after the procedure? I know Dr. Hasson for example likes using some sort of viscous petroleum jelly type ointment after the procedure to reduce scabbing (at least that's what it looks like on the pictures his patients have posted here) and others have mentioned they spray their hair with saline or some sort of "nutrient spray" after the procedure every hour till the scabs come off. If any of you could share the protocols your doctors used I would really appreciate it.

-How long did you wait to fly out after the surgery? I am 15 hours by plane from Madrid and will have to transfer flights at the 6 hour mark. I won't have anyone with me unfortunately.

I know Dr. Couto has a great reputation but after waiting almost 3 years to have this surgery, not being able to see him after the procedure to check on things has me a bit on edge. Any thoughts from the community would be sincerely appreciated.

Chill bro, You are on the best hands of the world. You should be so happy.

For sure Couto and his team wont let you down in case you are in a need.

And be careful if you are going to reeschedule because there is a long queue and somebody will be so happy to get your slot.

    Hi Folks,

I would like to post my case for my recent surgery.

First of all, I am an Spanish citizen living in Manila (Philippines).  At first I was looking for a good clinic that can do a well restoration near my place and I visited a couple of them in Manila, I have to say that they were so overpriced and the results that the clinic shows me was pretty low. (10,000 USD for 5,000 hairs)

After I discarded those clinic I start researching Spanish forums and found DR Afonso Jr, He is a conservative surgeon something that I really appreciate because I am still young and Alopecia is a constant fight and you never knows when will be the next time that you need a hair implant, also need to mention that the way he take care of donor area is one of the best.

I would like to thank Dr Afonso Jr and Tarjetaroja (sales manager) for being so acomodating and for the treat received.

Here are the picture before finasteride:
