  1. Hi Guys.

Hope you're all having an amazing days.

What's your advise regarding the temples with Bruno Pinto?

I didn't find any temples work. Otherwise I know that BF is really good doing that type of work.

I was looking for him or Bruno Ferreira. But the last one increase the price to 4€/hair

When I had my appointment with BF, he told me he want to do it on my situation.

But with the price of 4€ is out of my budget.

Wish you all an amazing end of year

  2. Hope you find well guys,

A little update on my side,

I did a break of a week on Finasteride. I was almost 4mg/week (I had proscar cut on 4, and I taked 3, MWF)

And I'm thinking going back with 2 pills per week. (Monday and Thursday)

Is it the best approach? Using 1,25MG Monday and 1,25MG Thursday? Or should I use 0,625mg in four days in a week? Like MWF and Saturday

    I appreciate your advice

    Thank you

Looks good so far! I had surgery with Pinto probably a few weeks after you. I'm about in the same place. Solid improvement, but still thin. Sound about right? My first transplant took 6-7 months to get coverage, so I'm expecting the same this time around. Dr. Pinto asked me to send pics at a full 6 months, so I think there's a good reason for that.

How it was your surgery with Dr. Pinto? I'm waiting to have a consultation with him. But to be honest, I'm afraid if the hair loss progress further. What was is advice about finasteride? Because I tried to start, and unfortunately I stil have side effects even with 3mg/week

I would go with the surgeon who you honestly feel is best for your hair loss needs first and foremost. I wouldn't worry about a slight savings or a time waiting period. This is for life so you will be looking at your results in the mirror everyday for the rest of your life. All the best!

    Thank you!

I mean I already go to an appointment with Bruno Ferreira. Now I'm waiting for the appointment with Bruno Pinto.

As you said, is for life, so I want to know both opinions

Here is the opinion of Bruno Ferreira:

Hi, Dr. Bruno Pinto is recommend in the european forum "recupera tu pelo" :

    https://www.recuperartupelo.com/

He has amazing results, but is difficult to have a consultation with him. I live in the same country (Portugal) and they don´t accept consultations till Febrruary 2023...

I'm on the wait list to. I had one consultation with Dr. Bruno Ferreira while im waiting....

But in Portugal as you may understand, Dr.Bruno Ferreira es too expensive.

  6. Hello guys,

So today was my first appointment with Dr. Bruno Ferreira.

First topic was finasteride. I told that I started to take it every day. And after finishing the box (with 28 pills). And I dicide to stop because I had side effects, mostly sexual performance. And after that, I did a stop of 2 weeks and started again with 3 pill per week (3mg in total)

Is first advice is to start with proscar and increase the dose, cutting the phill in 4. (Each pill was 5mg), and after 6 months he will evaluated the improvement as well as the side effects. (It was too soon to had any side effects, that's what he said)

Second topic we talked more about hair transplant. He analyze my hair and told my that I have a great density and strong hair (that he said that is 90 microns more or less).

And we advice me to do the temples.

He told my that on my case it should be around 3.000/3.200 follicles to restore the front part.

He draw 2 lines, the punctured and the other. (The punctured is my natural line, normally)

To be honest, I was more into Dr.Bruno Pinto, because is showing amazing results to and the price is more affordable. (Almost 1€ per graft of difference between Dr. Ferreira).

What do you think about his analyze? And what line do you think I should go?

Thank you guys for all the help

The side effects do sometimes go away after a while like a month. I had side effects during the first month, mostly libido, but It got normal again after 4-6 weeks. But It's best to ask for Dr. Pinto

    Yeah, I mean...

Still waiting the first consultation. But I wanted to start finasteride to avoid any progress on my hair loss.

And that's why I'm still on finasteride to see if I my libido comes close to normal. Because It drastically dropped

He highly advised me to start taking finasteride so I started taking it (1 mg/day) on October 2021. I stopped in the end of May 2022 because me and wifey want to have a kid and I don't want to risk anything (even though there are no evidence that finasteride would be a risk at all). I have to say that finasteride helped my crown and a part of midscalp a lot. I am planning on starting with topical finasteride because I'm noticing more shedding now.

Thank you for the answer. I already booked with him. But still waiting for the first consultation...

I started finasteride 1 mg per day, 10 days ago, and I had some side effects.

That's why I asked if they give you any advice

  9. How much time we need to wait until we saw some results from finasteride? If improve the quality of the hair?

Now I'm taking daily finasteride 1 MG. I may change to 3 MG per week, one pill Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Because right now I'm having some side effects...

    Started August 16
