It depends on whether you're getting FUE or FUT. If you're getting FUE, you can return to exercising normally around 14 days.

Thank you Melvin. I was wondering fue mainly. It seems you answered my question exactly how I wanted. It is hard to know for sure when you can get back into those things but thanks again Melvin!

  2. So many have differing views on when one can get back into exercise. I’m an avid runner(3+ miles), swimmer, and weight lifter. I like to run every day and swim most days. How long is the safest bet to wait to be sure no damage happens? Like when could be the absolute earliest to get back into long fast runs that leave me drenched in sweat?

The quality of this photo isn't great (it's literally just a screenshot from a video lol), but this was taken just a couple of days after a recent haircut. I do a no-guard fade at the bottom and for all intents and purposes, I think it's pretty undetectable by the naked eye. It took a bit of an adjustment for me to get used to it in the beginning since we can be our own worst critics and I was worried it looked "off", but every barber I've had for the past 7 or so years has insisted that nothing looks out of the ordinary or alarming, so I confidently roll with it. :)

With an elite surgeon I would say 1 guard is possible.

With manual extraction and small punch you can be good with 1 guard

Thank you both. So basically anyone recommended on the forum is gonna allow 1 guard? Impressive really because 2 guard is usually the furthest I go when I do fades but was just wondering if that would ever be possible again

  5. It seems online 6-8k donor hairs are the safe limit available for most men. Some could be less and some extremely dense donors could be more. My question is how do some of the clinics who do giga sessions(8-10k+ grafts) seem to get away with that donor limit? It almost seems as if there is always hope for a nw7 if they have a decent donor. Is this true or long term will all those giga sessions end up in thinned donors? Also I don’t want to name drop those clinics but I see many of them advertised and I’m not talking Turkey Hair Mills. Some of them are even talked about on here.

Look at @captaincalico one of the best results ive ever seen.

I did a podcast with him check it out

Thank you for the responses. Yes I knew he was awesome and I saw that case and was wowed. Was really just making sure nothing had changed and everyone still respected him the same. Also I’ve been told he does really great work on minimizing donor scarring. Have no idea if that is true or any difference compared to other surgeons but was just curious ? Again thank you

Me: Always had long hair. receding and started minoxidil age 16. aggressive hairloss by 20. got on propecia and had a HT on frontal third age 23 which was 10 years ago next month.

I've had my long hair back for 8 years now since it all grew in. When it's slicked back it looks thick, and when it's brushed down it covers the conservative hairline and looks normal. Not as thick as my original hair but still pretty awesome. I'm going to have a touch up in the next few years and lower the hairline / thicken up what's there....but that's just me being greedy now after a decade.

So to your question - yes you can grow it long and look good and no-one will know / care!

Since your original HT almost ten years ago and it appears being on fin you were very wise back then have you noticed any further loss? So many people say having a HT younger than 25 can be risky due to forelock going or further recession in crown. Basically just curious if fin kept what you already had and the HT was just icing on the cake
