  1. @RTC Thanks !! I am taking Finasteride. I started applying minoxidil once but it didn't suit my hair so I never used it again. I want to fix the corners actually to comb my hair the way I used to do , and I think no medication will help to regrow hair in corners , reason why I am thinking about getting a transplant
  2. @BaldV Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestion but could you please elaborate a bit more, like exactly why I should not consider HT right now ... Will it cause shock loss to existing hair / can damage it ? Or any other reason?
  3. Hello Everyone . I have been following this forum since last 1 year and it's been a great experience so far. Got to know a lot about Hair transplant , clinics and the real time experiences. Now coming to the point I am a 33 year old man from India , worried about my receding corners and hairline and strongly considering a hair transplant to fix the corners and planning to redesign my hairline. Now if I explain about my current hair condition , to be honest I was blessed with good dense hair and still now I do have a good amount of hair in the mid scalp and donor area , I am only concerned about my hairline and the corners. I have always been very concerned about my hair and I started noticing hair fall when I was 18-19 years old. As I mentioned , I was always concerned so I visited doctors and have gone through medication processes many times in the last 10 years , whenever I have observed the hair fall is going out of control. But in last 3 years I have noticed that my hair texture is becoming very frizzy , dry and brittle , which is ( as per my understanding ) causing more hair fall and now I could see a significant change in the overall density and male pattern baldness has started from the corners. I had taken finasteride and biotin tablets for some time in last 2 years then stopped and then started again but right now I'm considering going for a transplant and I have done a good amount of research on the clinics in past 2 years . My condition can be considered between grade1-grade2 I believe, and based on that I am looking for few information from the members of this forum which will help me to make my final decision. 1. As I mentioned I do have a good amount of existing hair already , so if I am considering a transplant at this time in the hairline and corners will there be a good amount of chance of shock loss to the native existing hairs ? ( will share my scalp picture ) I'm really worried about shock loss and this is the main reason why I'm delaying my decision. I really want to make sure that transplant in my current condition won't cause shock loss to my existing hair as existing hairs will be very close to the recipient area. 2. I have consulted with 2 renowned clinics in India and one of them are one of the best in this business. One of them have suggested approx 1500 grafts ( 50-55 grafts per square cm to match my existing density ) and the other one suggested around 800-1000 grafts ( 35-40 grafts per square cm ) I am a bit confused and want to understand which one should be ideal for me if I want to get it done now and as I want to minimize the chances of shock loss and at the same point of time I want to have a significant density for the transplanted hairs. I am sharing my scalp/hair condition photos. The trimmed ones were taken 2 years ago when I completely trimmed my hair & the other long hair photos are the recent ones. Looking for your valuable suggestions
