After you have done HT, is it necessary to take Propecia continously? I don't intend to use Propecia after HT but am wondering what effects this would have on HT. I have been using 1mg tab a day for about 1 year. Long term wise staying on pills is just not good for the body.

staples to remove out? whats this? I'm planning to go abroad to have my HT. I'm only there for 1 week, will I have to go back to get these removed in that 1 week from the surgeon?

DHT caused by testosterone in hair loss is different to the DHT your refering to about weight training and diet.

Who said weight training lead to hair loss???? Thats like saying exercise causes hair loss.

Just wondering all those that did their HT, after surgery how much pain/discomfort did you have and how long did it last before you was back to normal just like prior to HT surgery?

I notice most members here recommend FUE instead of FUT. I just wanted to ask why this was teh case given that many of the HT consultants (even those recommended on this site) recommend FUT instead of FUE. Most of them have even said FUE is only for 500-1000grafts but most people who are bald 1000 grafts is nothing. Most of us are likely have had much more then that.

Thanks for the replies. The thing is I haven't lost much hair from the crown. There has been hair lost (no doubt) and from the sides its starting to reside. The front is where i have lost a bit of hair and I wanted to treat this area for now. I was simply told they would not consider this as in the long run he thinks its not advisable. But why should that be their decision? I am fully aware I will lose more hair and plan on getting further HT in future so I fail to understand why he (Mick) even bothered to suggest that. Anyway, I won't be contacting them as obviously that won't lead to nowhere. They have made their decision. I am thinking of possibly the US or Europe depending on whats on offer.

First of all, can i just say this isn't any complaint with Dr Farjo himself rather its the people that he employs. I sent pictures via his site and i got a response from one of his staff who failed to address my concerns and simply rejected offering service simply because by just looking at the pictures felt in the long run its not advisable to do HT. How on earth can he say this without any in person consultation??? I have a lot of hair compared to the average person who does HT but he simply refused to listen what I asked for. Bearing in mind that person isn't a doctor or a HT surgeon so he shouldn't made a decision on this anyway but I would seiously question how this practice is run and am very dissapointed with their services.

Hi, Thanks for teh reply guys. So just want to check something, firstly we have to undergo a consultation with them but the actual surgery could be many weeks or months later? If this is the case, I imagine booking the surgery in advance probably be best idea but would they allow this surgery booking without a consultation? and all this in 2 weeks???? I reckon this looks unlikely now. I guess this is one of the difficulties for overseas patients travelling aboard to do such treatments. I will try calling them (would be very lucky to get through though!)

I have treid contacting him via his site but haven't heard back, i'm hoping he or maybe someone who has used his services know the answer to this. I am based in the UK and am happy to use his services. I am looking to visit him ideally end of March 2009 or 1st week of April. Does anyone know whether he or anyone from his clinic are able to give some estimate with regards to how many grafts (approximate) and price if I email them my pictures?? I need to have some idea obviously before travelling so far down there to do this procedure. Also, does anyone know whether the treatment can be done soon after the consultation with them? I only have 2 weeks holidays and of course I am hopnig to get everything done within that time, ideally as soon as within that time frame as i didn't want to use all that 2 weeks just in the state Hyderbad (India).
