I6,
There have been discussions on this forum about generic finasteride and how some brands are actually less effective than others. I honestly don’t know which generic brands people were talking about but it might not be all in your head. My concern is if you are taking a less effective version of finasteride that you may begin to lose some of the hair growth benefits you were experiencing.
In this situation, I’d say trust your gut. Try to get the previous brand you were using ASAP even if you have to get it from another pharmacy. If you’ve underwent hair transplant surgery in the past or have even consulted with a hair surgeon previously, you could always speak to him or her about getting a prescription.
Best wishes,
Rahal Hair Transplant
Ok so It might really be a less potent brand... I will indeed get back to the other brand if that is the case. Will by it after the weekend and I guess it will show.

The "problems" you described any guy would kill for (cept the suspicious girlfriend xD) but i would be wary of keeping an eye on how your hair loss is over the time you have these new pills.
Anecdotally some people claim for example that generic Finasteride doesn't have the same QA as something under the branded version like Propecia etc.
You should reach out i think to the place you purchased it to see if there's anything they can advise on potential differences or check the labels on the two.
Yes I've asked them, and In my country pharmacies are very regulated and controlled so it should be genuine stuff. I will indeed keep an eye on my hair, I hope it's seasonal shedding perhaps...

Hello guys
I have been on finasteride 1 mg daily a pretty long time now, perhaps 2+ years. I used to have a tickling feeling in my chest/nipple area are a few times a month (that started when I started taking finasteride) and lower libido/lesser ejaculation. By lower libido I mean I could get hard with ease 1-2 times a day while on finasteride, while pre-fin I could get hard with ease 5+ times/day. However, I switched to another brand about 3 months ago because the one I used to take were out of stock so I bought a package of 98 tablets made by a different brand, the package says "Finasteride Accord" made by Accord Healthcare.
Anyhow, since I started using this other brand the tickling feeling has disappeared and my libido and ejaculation has sky rocketed! I'm like a f-machine now, horny all day like a rabbit, it's like I'm a teenager now with a busy right hand. My girlfriend suspects that I'm with another girl and has started taking viagra or something. Another thing is that I'm shedding more hair in shower, maybe 5+ more hairs on average each time I shower for the past 2-3 weeks. Could this different brand be much less potent? Is this normal?

I was there Jan 11/12. He mentioned opening up the Fast track consultation again soon but then he also said he didn't see the point since he's a year out right now. If I had to guess in a couple of months he'll start again but that's just my opinion. If you want I can ask his patient coordinator and see if they let me know anything additional.
Dang wait a full year I've noticed that Its a long wait time for the tops... And I wanted to do hair transplant the coming month lol

Dude it doesnt look you've had hair transplant the slightest, this result is astonishing!
-
Why are you not so red on the recipient area only 2 weeks after the hair transplant? Did you use healing cream?
-
Wow the donor looks untouched

Would be good if you could create a thread to post some pictures of your situation so we can advise on what you likely need.
Dr. Pinto has lots of patient posted reviews on the Spanish forum, around about 60 of them last time I looked, and is very popular in Spain and Portugal and their respective forums. As @JC71says, these people don't really come on here just as we in the UK, US, Canada and Australia etc don't really visit their forums as people like to post in their native languages for the most part for obvious reasons.
As far as English speaking posters/forum members, I'm pretty much the first one to post a pinto case, hence why you won't find much in the way of reviews on here or say the UK forum for him. If you want, I can DM you the links to his cases on the Spanish forums so you can look for yourself and decide if you think he's a good fit for you, just shoot me a message and I'll send it over to you.
Thanks, I will probably open a thread after I take some good pictures. Btw, I just found a spanish forum with many cases, used google translate basically everyone has really good results, and there seems to be a few other highly regarded doctors there as well. But the results between them seems to be about the same, so my cheap ass mind tells me to pick the cheapest one However I've travelled everywhere in Spain, but never visited Portugal so I'm a bit inclined towards Portugal, perhaps plan for a vacation there and do the hair transplant in the last day. I'm also checking out Dr Ferreira, will probably make consultation after I make a top list, check prices and result/price ratio and decide thereafter.

Dutasteride works better with similar rates of side effects. Unfortunately I developed gynecomastia after ~1.5 years on the it (was on finasteride for 6 months before that), so I switched back to finasteride and am on raloxifene. I don't have nipple sensitivity anymore, and the gyno is not as obvious as it was at its peak, but the growth is still there and so I plan to get gyno surgery soon.
I started looking into hair transplants at the start of 2021.
Thank you! I'm not sure what's going on with that TBH. I have his patient coordinator's WhatsApp, if you PM me I could send it to you.
Thank you I've sent PM

Dr Pinto is around €2.60 per graft. Most Euro options are between €2-5 approx.
I think I need about 2000 grafts just like forum user JDEEO, as I have exact same hair loss pattern and he went to Dr Pinto. It would cost 5200 euro, not a huge increase from my previous budget of about 3000 dollars. Its hard by now to come away from the fact that good clinics has much more polished work. Is Dr Pinto a wise choice? He's not recommended here on the forum and there are only a few reviews here even though that he has very good results on his YouTube page. I found another thread by Falconary but he is also early in the progress. I'm also checking out Dr Freitas but it would cost more and I'm not sure if the result/cost ratio is justified because the result seems to be about the same as Dr Pinto, however Dr Freitas is recommended here on the forum.

Look, i came across your previous thread and if you still thinking of a hair mill, please don't.
Any top reputable clinic, like say Eugenix even on their low package will probably get you a better result than 70% survival. I'm assuming even their cheapest package is now DHI and that should mean 90%+ survival.
Hair Mills will say that you need 2000 grafts, butcher a bunch more and implant maybe 2000 but because they screwed up, they maybe took 500-1000 more that got completely destroyed. On top of that, out of the 2000, if 70% grow. You lost another 600 grafts or so. 1100-1600 grafts being lost is a LOT!
LOL no I'm not thinking about hair mill trust me, but I got curious about what happens to the grafts when they don't survive. How could someone notice that a graft has not survived, even if I would go to a top clinic there must be a few grafts that won't survive but is it possible to detect them, i.e do they get pushed out or do they get absolved?
-
Lets say I transplant 2000 graft and 70% survive, what happens to the remaining 30%? Do they get eaten alive and absorbed by the skin or do they get rejected by the skin and pop out?
-
Such awesome result 🤩

It's the different types of punches used to extract the hair follicles; sharp, flat and serrated are those used for various different situations by Dr. Pinto.
Ok nice 👍

What is the extraction sharp flat and srt?

I have the exact same hair loss as you, will keep an eye on your thread 😁

De Freitas is €3.50 for first 1000 grafts and then it drops to €2.50 thereafter. He can be contacted through the forum:

Well look, I won't argue this much further. I don't agree with your logic, I hope you reconsider and feel you deserve the highest amount reward rather than settling for higher risk. If you think you could play this game and get off cheap then you don't need to look very hard on here or on reddit to find cases of guys who are devastated. You also posted a question on a forumn where there are a lot guys on here who have invested a lot of time understanding all these trade-offs. I hope you didn't do it just to echo your own thoughts but rather pay attention to the numerous guys here who told you you're gonna get screwed.
Play stupid games and win stupid prizes
I will tell you this, I were pretty confident, almost 90% sure that I were going to spend maximum 3000 dollars on a hair transplant before I opened this thread, but that number has been dropped to zero right now. I'm revaulating my stance and right now it seems that I might just increase my budget because I didnt realize that it were such a high risk with a hair mill. I've seen so many bad ht the last couple of hours and it's pretty scary. I previously thought that it only were the recipient result that could be bad and that I could deal with that with another ht, but there seems to be an awful lot of case were people been butchered for life.

I can't say too much on the topic but I was at a clinic considered a 'hair mill' and I'm right where I need to be at 5 months post operaiton.
So you are happy so far?
Finasteride from different brand = Less potent?

I just went to the pharmacy and they told me that the finasteride the doctor prescribed it out of stock but they had another brand in store, same price, same everything according to the pharmacy so I bought it. It wasn't about saving bucks.
