  1. Thanks so much for the detailed insight @AB2000. This gives me some clarity.
  2. Thank You @Gatsby. I’m looking at surgeons in the US primarily as I cannot go to India anytime soon. But I agree that I’ve heard really good things about Eugenix team. Do you know any surgeons in the US that I should be looking at for my case. BTW congratulations on the surgery, hope your result comes out great. Waiting for your next update.Cheers.
  3. This is my first post here and I’ve been browsing through this forum for a while. I think this community is one of the best no bullshit resources potential patients can access to get started on the HT journey. I really appreciate the abundance of real knowledgeable people here. Thank You. Also, @Melvin- Moderator, please let me know if anything in my post is out of sync with the rules of this forum will edit it right away to comply. Now onto the question at hand. I have been to a few in person hair restoration consults and seriously looking at Dr.Sanusi Umar as I have poor donor density to cover my Norwood 5a baldness. Supplementing it with Beard hair might be a viable option for me. There is not much talk on this forum and other places online about Dr.Sanusi Umar(of Dr.U’s Clinic in LA)and what I could find are all old cases from like 10 years ago or more and I see that he is not posting many patient result videos these days(again 10 year old posts) either on his Youtube or on his website, which is kind of puzzling as I understand he is considered a pioneer in FUE tools and techniques( has his own designed ‘Ugraft’ patented tool)and has handled difficult past cases. And from what I can gather Dr.Umar seems very knowledgeable in the field as he is a dermatologist as well. What do you guys think about him as a surgeon, his results and in general if he is ethical or not. I’ve seen some good and at the same time some bad reviews on Yelp and Glassdoor, especially the thing that concerned me in those reviews was that apparently his staff has a high turnover rate due to poor working conditions(written by an ex-staffer), meaning there might not be any experienced techs working there(which is a red flag for me), even though the doctor himself might be good. One other thing I wanted to know was, I see in the past(around 2011) Dr.Umar was recommended this site but not sure why he is not anymore. Couldn’t find a post that explained why he is not recommended anymore. Did something happen? Along the same lines I believe he was a member of ISHRS a few years back, but not anymore. Not IAHRS and ABHRS member either. Lastly whenever top docs conversation comes up on this forum his name is rarely ever mentioned by people here. Was something screwed up in the past that I need to know or am I just worrying over nothing. Please let me know, your inputs are really valuable to me before I pull the trigger. If you think Dr.Umar is not a good fit for me, kindly recommend who you think would be fit for my situation as I will need Beard Hair supplementation. Norwood 5a, Will need 4500-5000 for decent coverage, 29 years. Please let me know if you need any additional info. I’m not here trying to bash anyone, just trying to find out real info before I dive deep into something that will have a significant impact on my life and cost a pretty penny, as I’m sure everyone here is aware.
