  1. Hello, I just sent pictures and explained my situation by email, was enough for my case. The morning when I arrived at the clinic for the ht, we made a lot of tests, measurements and plans, this took 3 hours prior to the surgery.
  2. Hey, Made the appointment in February for the end of June.
  3. One and a half months post op. Almost all the implanted hairs was fallen and only thing strange is that I started to see some acne from place to place, don’t understand why. These appears only in the evening when I push them away, in the morning and during the day it’s clear and clean, but in the evening keeps appearing 1 or 2. Did anybody else encountered this issue?
  4. That’s right, almost 7 weeks now. I will keep posting retrospectively because I hadn’t time to keep it up to date. thanks 👍
  5. 3 weeks post op. Donor area is completely healed, the recipient is looking perfect. Didn’t start any medication yet, only shampooing once per day with neutral PH shampoo.
  6. Here I was 4 days after the surgery. Everything’s looking fine and the donor look’s almost healed.
  7. Hy guys, Sorry for the late reply but I was traveling a lot last days. I will start describing my ht by saying that this was for me a very nice and pleasant experience rather than a surgery. I felt like dr Mwamba’s clinic is more like a big and friendly family. Dr Patrick, dr Ali, Giselle and everybody, they are very kind, careful and patience. Dr Mwamba and his team are the most friendly, kind and professional people I’ve had the pleasure to cooperate with. Dr Mwambas work is a real state of art and now, after months of research and look for the best ht surgeon, I could say that he is the master. He is working non stop and is not stopping until the goal and the number of the grafts are reached. We finally managed to extract and implant 4.200 grafts because of my good donor area density (90 as I understand). First day we start at 8 in the morning with planing, designing the hairline and then extracting. Second day we started the same and ended up at 11 pm, third day we started at 9, ended at 5 am in the morning to finish adding the extra 700 grafts. The surgery was impeccable, no pain except a little bit in the beginning of anesthesia, I gave also received several laser treatments for speed up the healing and recovery. All this time I could make as many breaks as I need, I could have lunch and dinner together with the team, watch Netflix and tv news. Following are some pictures during and right after the surgery.
  8. Thanks, Melvin! Will keep you posted for sure 😁
  9. Hey bro, Thanks, hope so 😁 Appointment made in February, so 4 months
  10. Hey Guys, I’m Leo, 39 years old, from Romania. I am a member of this forum for few months and will share my experience and HT journey. I will be having surgery with Dr Mwamba in Bruxelles next week on the 22, 23 and 24th of June. I had a few consultations with other Doctors but decided to go with Dr Mwamba as he has very good references and I think he is the best choice price-quality. I have been using minoxidil and finasteride in the past and now decided to take these again to support the actual hair for the surgery. I hope to cover my entire balding area which is a Norwood 6 now, I think. The surgical plan is to have two procedures of about 3.500 grafts each. The first one for the hairline and frontal third and the second one for the mid scalp and crown.
  11. Also Dr Bisanga said on an interview with Melvin that “if you don’t have enough money, talk to the clinic, don’t look for cheap transplant clinics”. So I just asked the clinic…
  12. Thanks for the info man, I thought so that they are using microscopes. Do you remember if there was some discussion about the miniaturization or if they calculated or measured it somehow?
  13. You have to believe me. Dr Bisanga’s assistant just told me that beginning with April they will charge at 5€ per graft. Guys, I know what’s your saying, I didn’t tried to negotiate or to make pressure on this topic, don’t be rude. I just asked because this is way too much for me and I will need 3 surgeries.
  14. You’re joking, right? All the top clinics are using microscopes for the hair follicles, especially Dr. Bisanga which I consider top 3 worldwide. I’m not trying to get a discount, don’t get me wrong, I just asked, didn’t tried to negotiate or something like this. Because most of the clinics offered a little discount in some particular conditions and because I wish I could choose him for my HT. I asked about miniaturization because if this is on a high percentage, the donor will not be suitable for extraction. And this is a must to be measured for establishing if you are a good candidate for HT. I know what’s your point and I also think that this an investment for life, but I already doubled my budget and I need 3 HT surgeries in my case which will be quite a lot.
  15. @captaincalico hey man, can you please share some additional details, I need to know if your extracted hair follicles were analyzed under microscope for its quality and separation for doubles, triples and singles. Did they use microscopes anyhow? Also do you remember if Dr Mwamba was somehow calculating the level of miniaturization on your donor area? Few months ago I was convinced to go with Dr Bisanga which I was pretty sure he is the best from Europe, but unfortunately I couldn’t get any discount from his assistant, also couldn’t get an estimation for the grafts I need and if I am suitable or not for a HT surgery. Dr Bisanga’s prices are double than Dr Mwamba which is quite a lot and now I will go with Dr Mwamba as I understood from my research that he is world class quality, similar with Dr Bisanga. Thanks man!
