Final update 15 months later…
Couldn't be happier. Donor area is still thick. Hairline could be denser but that would require a second transplant as this is an amazing result for my first one. The relief of not always working about my hairline is such a new feeling. I was just swimming and to just push my hair straight back knowing it looks good and not have to comb it over and always be worrying. Here are some pictures, it’s been over a month since a haircut. Pictures are taken is very bright light from above my head.

Agreed. I was just in finasteride and minoxidil before and after.

How's it going @RicoRavage?
6 months, hoping density will continue to improve but I’m happy so far. Hair is a little curlier I’m the front now.

I'm not sure on the exact differences on technique. I chose Gur due to the fact that i think his hair lines look more natural. Not the typical "turkish - perfectly straight across the top" hair line. DHI, FUE they are pretty much the same.

So it’ll be exactly two months since the procedure tomorrow. Not a whole lot going on. Seeing new sprouts every couple days or so. Lots of ingrown hairs which I take as a good sign. Just playing the waiting game. Thinking about trimming up my hair so I’ll post some pictures of the donor area once I do that. Recipient area is still numb.

FUECapilar is like a booking agency, they handle all communication and pre and post op accommodations. Gür is his own clinic but will now have FUR Capilat do all of his booking and client accommodations.

Thanks for sharing your review, Dr. Gür is part of FUEcapilar right? I’ve heard good things. I’ll be following your results closely.
Yes he is part of FUEcapilar. Apparently they just inked a deal this week so that FUECapilar will be booking and handling all of Gür procedures. They do an amazing job of communication and answering questions. I will keep you all updated on how it’s going.

Here’s an update on my first HT. Just got home from Turkey, I used FUECAPILAR to book my surgery with Dr Gür. Managed to get a round trip ticket for $660 and opened a United card for a $250 statement credit so the flight ended up only costing $410.
Overall the experience was way better than expected. I went with the package where Gür does the extractions and openings himself so it was €1.25/graft. The clinic and accommodations were great, shout out to Jose at FUECAP for the quick responses and very detailed instructions and details.
Personally the surgery seemed long (about 8 hours total) and anesthesia wore off a few times but they gave me more as soon as I said something. I had a total of 2,921 grafts implanted which was on the high end of what they quoted (2,500-2,800). I think he said they split some doubles to make more singles for the hairline.
I was worried about my donor area but he said it was average and I had a total of 6k grafts available. I’m having some swelling three days post op but apparently that’s normal and varies from person to person. I’ll keep updating my progress.
Couldn’t have done this without this site and all of you guys!

@JC71 I was looking at Bicer and HLC, Bicer is out until September and HLC is out until may. I cannot get the surgery done in the summer due to a wedding this August and with work being busy during the summer months. They are both a little more expensive and I would prefer to get it done in the next month or two.
Now I'm leaning towards Gur since he has some good results with a more natural hairline then Turan.
Do you think it would be worth paying more for Bicer or considerably more for HLC and waiting until next winter?
