We are happy to present 11 month hair transplant results of a 32 Years old patient from England. 

The patient was in the early stages of a diffuse thinning. Before approaching the hair transplant Dr Camacho suggested using finasteride to stabilize hair loss as well as minoxidil to thicken miniaturized hairs in particular mid scalp. The patient since has been using both religiously which served as a great impact for the hair transplant results.

The surgery's objective was to lower the hairline as well as improving density mid scalp in areas where there are enough spaces to implant while minimizing risk of damaging existing hairs.

At the time of surgery the patient did not show interest in using finasteride to stabilize hair loss so Dr Camacho suggested a conservative hairline while being responsible with donor area management for future improvements.

We were happy to hear starting month 9 post surgery the patient did start finasteride 1mg daily and Minoxidil 5% from month 2 post op

Focus of the surgery  was to recreate the hairline and some touch ups on the thinning temples.

Happy New Year all!

We normally like to post complete 12 months results but wanted to present this exceptional example of an early grower. Only 5.5 Months since surgery

This 36 years old patient from California is in the progress of transitioning from male to female.

Dr Camacho's objective  was to create a female pattern hairline which was articulately chosen by the patient. 

The patient received 3046 grafts which is a bit over the max session we do in one sitting.

Bogota Hairlines are proud to present the 24 month journey from hair piece to real restored hair with focus on subtleness of the process, leaving minimum evident signs of surgery per patient's request.

We tried to summarize the process with 10 pointers below.

Background

1) This patient from the united states was 33 at the time of the first surgery and was wearing a hair system for about 13 years.

2) It was extremely important for the patient to have a subtle transition away from the hair system without any of his friends and coworkers notice he had surgery done at any point. 

3) Dr Camacho's proposal was to achieve this with 2 FUE surgeries in 2 consecutive years. 

4) Surgery number 1 was to "Lay the foundation".  Partly shaving the donor area to 2 sections in a way that the long hairs above will cover the extracted area. This technique limited the amount of grafts that was possible to extract to 2036 but was enough to get rid of the hair system and lay the foundations for the second surgery.

5) After the initial 2-3 week recovery period the patient went back to work wearing the hair system with clips attached to his native long hairs. This allowed him to look the same as before surgery while going through the dormant phase.

6) The patient was extremely committed with medication using minoxidil x2 a day and Finasteride 1mg daily.

7) After about 6 months the patient threw away the hair system.

8 ) Surgery number 2  was to re-shape the hairline and improve density. This time the entire donor area was shaved for extraction while the recipient area was not. This allowed the extraction of 2389 grafts which were placed cautiously  using Implanter pens directly without pre made incisions. There was also some crown work improvement done but that was very minimal due to risk of damaging existing hairs. 

9) The patient was still able to disguise the grafted area using his existing long hairs. No one noticed he had anything done.

10) 12 months after the second surgery we are proud to show these results and more importantly get incredible feedback from this patient who deemed it "Mission Complete"

Hello everyone !

We find the following results as proof it is possible to achieve a big change without excessive use of donor while creating the right illusion of density.

This patient from NYC was 35 at the time of surgery and did not use any preventative meds like finasteride and minoxidil due to other medical reasons. Dr Camacho suggested a long term responsible approach and leave as much as donor hair possible for potential future hair loss while allowing an evident change. Respecting the curly  nature of the patient's hair was great factor that allowed Dr Camacho to deliver such results with wise graft placement.

After month 8  the patient reported to start finasteride 1mg every other day
