  1. I don't want to burst your bubble op, but in my humble opinion I don't think you will be please with a hair transplant. Your donor area isn't strong and I don't tink you'll get the desired results you'd be looking for along with all the scarring that comes with that. I'm not just saying this because i do SMP either, this is from experience. (I know transplants quite well.) = Whatever you decide, I wish you luck and hope it turns out well.
  2. This client was completely bald on top since his early twenties (norwood 7) As requested i provided him a custom hairline where his hairline would be at this age and gave him structure and softer temporal points. Video and photos attached. https://streamable.com/kxvc33 <<VIDEO
  3. This client went to another local artist and had 2 sessions that were very poor, luckily I was able to save him the pain/cost from getting laser. Attached is before and after. You can see the dark/migrated impression throughout the hairline. I was able to balance it throughout and blend in and around the areas with trouble to give it more of a consistent result.
  4. No, never a one and done. Unless maybe a touchup on old smp, but even then I usually do 2. SMP should be done in sessions, the way I look at it. It's a marathon and never a race. You can always ADD but you cannot REMOVE, and we build over sessions, and fine tune things as we go. Hairline adjustments, blending and touching up areas that did not retain well from previous sessions. Every client's skin is different and smp is never cookie cutter. So to achieve optimal results it must be done in steps. I like to post my work in overall several session as I believe it helps people understand SMP better. Where as people just show a before and after photo and people expect those results after the first session which is never the case. I'll keep you updated.
  5. I personally think your hairline is pretty good. SMP could work for you but expectations would have to be managed going into it, and the process and future results explained to you by a competent honest artist. If I were to do a density filling on you, I would go much lighter then you would want because I can tell in time your hair will most likely continue to thin out, and when it does I know I would be able to match/blend to make it look good after shaving your head down to a 0-0.5. The thing with SMP density fills are, people don't understand it including ALOT of smp providers (or they just want quick money). If you go too dark to match your hair as it is, overtime when it thins its going to be a mess if done incorrectly and you WILL need laser. If you came into my clinic, i'd recommend you to choose hair fibers (if you haven't already) or potentially opt for a FUE transplant for the thinning areas pending your donor area status.
  6. Hi here's another short video of a first session on a client of mine. Hope you enjoy. https://streamable.com/gf9c9f
  7. That is his natural hairline, he showed some pictures and theres also techniques to tell where the natural hairline use to be. It was a unique case, and I haven't done such a peak before, but turned out well and he loves it. He has another session, so there may be some slight adjustments when he comes back.
  8. A few of the members were asking for some videos of smp. Sorry been busy lately. Here's a little video of a client of mine after his second session. I recreated his natural hairline which is a recessed widows peak and added density throughout. Client told me I have changed his life and actually the first time hes gone out without a hat in a very long time. Hope you enjoy. https://streamable.com/t3r71o
  9. Could be the camera/lighting (smp is funny like that. But from first glance seeing those pics, I'm seeing migration and too deep of pressure. If you have a newerish camera phone, jack up the settings, and use your rear facing camera under natural light, this will clearly display the impressions for us .
  10. My phone died when I was writing a caption for the photo. That is only first session. Have to be careful with these and especially in his case since his hair is very sparse baove and below can't add too much density to scar. Next session depending on retention I will do a lot more blending above and below as well as on scar.
  11. Hey it all depends but sometimes fut have indentations which we obviously can't change so you'll still see this. But sometimes both can be equally tricky, it's case by case. I did a fut yesterday 1st session and the client is a bit older and his hair above and below the scar is very sparse so I can't add a lot of density within the scar I have to approach cautiously to try my best to keep it natural and not paint in the scar.
  12. A first session sometimes fades significantly, as were typically using a lighter shade in a first session to see how the shade retains/looks. But completed smp jobs don't really fade too quickly if done correctly. I've never heard of that or experienced that personally.
  13. Thank you. Underwhelming, still super thin on top but I added some layers over sessions carefully so I wouldn't paint his head with doing dark density fill. He allowed me to shave his head prior so we matched the color correcty. But he did have a pretty decent hairline from the HT.
  14. Thank You, yeah thankfully. It flattened out over the sessions and by the end was easier to work with.
  15. There is no misinformation being spread. I am speaking from experience from not only mine, but people who have been in this industry for a long time. Again, if you were to shave your head down to a stubble, would that ink used on ur head match? That's all I was getting at. Like I said yours looks good for your particular situation and I was giving you props on it. I'm not attacking you, nor the clinic you went to. I was speaking on density fills in general. I refrain from most density fills I said, I didn't say I don't do them. Let's leave it alone, and carry on productive on this forum. I wish you all the best, and hope your smp/hair stays looking good.
  16. Your SMP looks good, I was just chiming in on density fills in general. I was not shitting on your decisions or results. But you're acting like I was personally attacking you, and coming at me like I have no idea what im talking about. Listen, you got your smp, youre happy with it, thats all that matters. I will refrain from your posts, and give my honest, sound good advice to people on here. Im in the business to help ppl not to take their money, painting heads.
  17. I'm a positive guy, always giving positive advice. All the best.
  18. I do this for a living mate. I'm giving you experienced advice, but if you're happy with your results thats all that matters.
