  1. @Big Rome especially for you, I tried to make as "in person" photos as possible, including the best possible lighting, with hair just after waking up 😃.
  2. I kinda tried to make photos in a good and natural lighting. I guess it looks dense? Let's call it subjectively dense 🤗
  3. Hello guys, Sorry for lack of update. Whenever you want to ask me something, please tag me, so I can see an email prompt. The results are natural af. My friends didn't even notice that I have had a hair transplant - I only get comments that my hair got so much thicker. Since I have quite a big forehead, I want to do a second HT in the future (if I'm sure that my hair loss is 100% stabilized - for now it looks like it is). But it looks great for now.
  4. Hello guys, I'm 5.5 months post OP. My right temple is still abit behind my left temple (I feel like my left temple is almost perfect). What do you guys think?
  5. Sorry guys, I was super busy lately. I looked the worst at about 2-3 months post op. After about 3 months I started to notice new hairs sprouting, but it was still very thin and weak. Each week I'm seeing some improvement - it is a slow process for me. Feel free to ask any questions! Edit: my donor is pretty short right now. I just came back from hairdresser. My left side is filling much faster than the right side.
  6. Hello, Firstly, I would like to thank you guys (especially @JDEE0) for sharing your precious knowledge. I wouldn't be able to choose an appriopriate surgeon without you. I'll try to "pay my debt" through sharing my own experience and my own knowledge regarding to hair transplants. A brief background: I'm 26 years old. I have been receding very slowly since I was about 19. Hair loss isn't very common in my family, so hopefully I will maintain the rest of my hair. I'm on min/fin combo for 1 year already and of course I'm willing to continue with these medications. I narrowed down my hair transplant surgeons research to Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Bicer and of course Dr. Bruno Pinto. I finally chose Dr. Pinto, I just felt some sort of a very good vibe from his clinic, also his coordinator Emilio is super cool. Surgery day: Dr. Bruno is a super nice guy. I have spent whole day with him. I kinda felt like I was visiting my uncle that I haven't seen for a long time - I even forgot that I'm on my life-changing surgery 😀. Nurses were also very nice. It turned out that my hair thickness is average for a slav guy. My donor count is approximately 6000-8000 grafts. My hair/graft ratio is 2.4. I've been told that my crown is okay for now, no miniatiurization. Only mild maturization in my frontal area. I don't have good photos right after surgery (Dr. Bruno has them), so my starting point of sharing pictures will be day 5 post OP. First 4 photos are pre-op. Next 2 photos are 5 days post OP. Next 2 photos are 8 days post OP. Last photo of top of my head is 9 days post OP. I'm having a mild shock loss on top of my head, which is quite normal. Hopefully it will all regrow soon. Feel free to ask any questions, I will try to answer them.
  7. Thank you for your answer @Raphael84. I'm currently on oral minoxidil and finasteride and over the last 2/3 years I feel like I perfectly maintained what I had. I kinda feel like it might be true. I didnt't really see a progressive alopecia over last few years. Hopefully it won't accelerate.
  8. Thank you for your answers. I appreciate it alot. I'm 26 years old and I have been quoted for 2000-2500 grafts. I'm posting sides head photos below for a better estimation. Photos were done in a pretty good lighting.
  9. Hello, I'm just wondering, how would you judge my donor based on photo? Have a great weekend!
  10. Hello everyone! For the past few months I have been reading alot about surgeons. My final decision falls between Dr. Bruno Pinto and Dr. Bicer. It's super hard for me to decide, that's why i started this topic. Can you guys help me choosing between them?
  11. Ohh, I forgot to mention that I have already visited two doctors in my country and they both told me that I have got great donor and I'm a great candidate. But before undergoing any procedure, I wanted to ask you guys, since you are the real experts 😅
  12. Thank you so much for your answer. I have provided some pictures. My scalp is only visible in a bright light, when my hair is pointed upwards. In the hair transplant procedure I would love to fill my receding hairline and frontal scalp a lil bit. I'm not losing too much hair, I would even say that I have had same hair since few years. Is it safe in my case to undergo hair transplant or is it hard to say?
  13. Hello, I have been reading alot about the potential permanent shock loss of miniaturized hair after hair transplant. I have also read that the younger you are - the greater chance of permanent shock loss. Regarding to that information, I got three questions: 1) How common is shock loss? 2) For how long should you take finasteride before hair transplant? 3) Is 25/6 years old too young for HT? (I'm about NW 2/3) Thank you in advance!
  14. That is super interesting. I could call myself a diffuse thinner (I'm 25 years old). But I always had thin hair there (inherited from my mom - she also has thin hair). But everywhere else I got thick hair. I wouldn't call every diffuse thinner to end up with high Norwood or maybe I'm just still too young, but as I already mentioned - I guess that I have same here since I was 20/21. Just my 2 cents (picture attached below).
  15. Thank you so much for fast responses 😄 Yes, I'm from Poland. I know it might be a silly question or quite hard to answer, but between those 3 surgeons, which one would you guys pick: Dr. Bicer, Dr.Feriduni, Dr. Freitas?
  16. Hello everyone! Firstly, I would like to point out that I'm so glad that I found this forum 😊 I've been lurking for quite a while here and read ton of posts. I finally decided to create my own topic and ask you guys for some advices. About me: I'm 25 years old (soon 26). Since I was 20 years old I have been told by that my hair is thin and that I'm balding. I just kept ignoring it and my hair didn't change at all or atleast it didn't change too much (I think so, not sure though). I had thin hair since I remember. Family history: My dad is 61 and still has nice hair. I got same receding hairline like him and have been told by hairdresser that we got pretty alike hair, but I doubt it. He has thick black/grey hair and he started seeing grey hair when he was about 20. My maternal grandfather always had nice hair. My mom and my maternal grandmother both have thin hair. I got very similiar hair to my mom. So my guess is that I inherited hair from my mom. Medicaments/disorders: Half year ago I went to the best trychologist in my country (atleast from my research it turned out that she was the best). I was diagnosed with male pattern baldness and got prescribed oral minox and 1mg fin. In my opinion my hair didn't change too much on fin, but when I visited hair last week, I have been told that she can see some improvement and told me to keep taking those meds. I also have been told that I'm Norwood 1 and my baldness pattern is more alike to female pattern baldness (which kind of confirms my theory that I inherited my mom's hair). I also got high TSH levels. Photos/hair: I have attached all photos below. My balding pattern is best visible in good light (photo: top scalp1). Questions: Firstly, apologizes for prolonged introduction. I wanted to give you guys as much information as I could. Now finally getting to meritum: I'm planning to get hair transplant in december/january. My top 1 surgeon is Dr. Bicer. I was also thinking about Dr.Feriduni. Of course I'm still open to other surgeons options. Can you guys advice me which surgeon would be better for my balding pattern? I have seen alike cases like mine with Dr. Bicer. I would love to get rid of my receding hairline and thicken my frontal scalp. Also, how many grafts would I need in your opinions? Best regards and thank you so much for potential responses in advance.
