  1. Sorry guys. It is true what they say, once you get the hair transplant and it's successful you really don't think about these websites anymore. Coming back though to show the 1 year progress. Couldn't be happier with my results for such a small amount of grafts, I never worry about my hair anymore. Just have to style it a lot more than I used to!

I am using a bit of Toppik in these photos. Planning to go back to get the crown filled in as it is definitely thin, but I am tall enough (6'2) that it's hard for a lot of folks to see.

Looks great man... Curious, did Dr Nadimi do a dense pack?  In my initial correspondence with her, based on my photos she suggested 2000 grafts and a dense pack.  However your recession appears to have been more advanced than mine (I'd guess I'm a Norwood 2.5??) and she used less than 2000...  Just curious to her approach.

I think I'm going to do an in person consult with her next as I feel it would just be way more productive than a video one.

I was actually probably closer to a Norwood 4/5 the majority of the top of my head was wispy miniaturized hairs. Believe it or not mine is as low density as she could go (25% density) to get my hairline slightly lower than it was before.

as someone with fairly aggressive balding one of the reason I went to Nadimi is the quality of work with a  small amount of grafts, and the conservative approach.

i connected with her and she thinks she could sort out the crown with 1500 which would probably still leave me with grafts left over only using 3500 total.

Update as requested. Every week it seems to look better. I just got a haircut and my barber was blown away at the progress. So far, one of the best investments I have made in my life. The confidence I have gained from this procedure is immeasurable.

again, no product in these photos. If i go out I throw some toppik in on the top. I plan to go back for another procedure next year(?) before my wedding

“Pushing through the side effects” just doesn’t seem wise imo. Your body is telling you that it is being adversely impacted by the medication. Why disregard the warning signs?

To be fair, I did the same thing. Wish I hadn’t.

Where are you now after pushing through the side effects? I think I came out relatively unscathed but my libido has definitely dropped.

  5. Starting to look pretty good, and also I think I am starting to svae up to get some work done on the crown haha!

It is looking great though. I love it and feel like a new man. Toppik covers up the thin crown nicely so it does not bother me too much, and my hair is looking better literally every single day. Very happy with my results so far.

  6. 93 Days Post op update:

Well, this has been very exciting as I can now see an actual hairline on myself when I look in the mirror. I find myself more confidently going out and not wearing hats than ever before, and my family and friends are noticing. I didn't expect this much at the 90 day mark but it looks like it is definitely coming in. In these photos I have some hair product in, but no concealers.

My crown is sparse still but hey, that's what Toppik is for, and as my hair comes in I believe it will cover up more. Plan to get another procedure done with Nadimi in the next couple of years, and I am very pleased with myself to have gone with the more conservative approach. I really like the hairline design, even though I don't necessarily have Harry Styles hair I think that I will be OK.

Note: I attempted finasteride (XYON) topical for about 2 months MWF and still got sides. They went away when I stopped, and that's going to be my last attempt at finasteride. Can't stand the stuff down there not working and I find it much too stressful. I have a dermatologist appointment booked in Canada to try and get prescribed some oral minoxidil, and Dr Nadimi said she would prescribe it if I am back down in the states, so will try that.

  7. 60 day post op update.

Not a lot of change, but I wanted to keep documenting so other people can reference. I seem to have some shock loss on the back of my head which concerned me a bit, it's hard to tell from these photos but I was swimming this weekend in the sunshine, my gf took a video from the back of my head and it looked like I had a full horseshoe NW7 pattern :\. Freaked me out a bit but I hope it comes back.

I am using topical Rogaine foam 2x a day most days and still on XYON MWF. Had minor side effects (weak erection) nothing else though, and I still think it may be more psychological than anything. If I take 2.5 or 5mg Cialis everything is in working order but I try to not take it 1x a week for sex to see how things are working. With it, there are no issues.

Well, if the sequence of events was:

*No issues that would require Cialis*  > *Starts Fin*  > *Develops Issues That Require Cialis sometime not long after starting Fin* > Starts taking Cialis and this alone solves the issues that developed*

Then I don't think it's logical to say that it was mental/nocebo if this was the sequence of events. I'm not saying it isn't possible it was mental/nocebo, just that the timing of things seems more than coincidental.

There are studies that have been done that prove the majority of finasteride sides are nocebo. I am also anxious and read way too much online, so it's more likely my sides are nocebo than not. My dick works great (incredible really) on Cialis so I see it as a valid fix to what is likely nocebo.

What you have described there is just speculation so I was just confirming if there was something I was missing.

I had some mild side effects from finasteride and used to sometimes takes Cialis for an extra boost however I switched to dutasteride about an year ago and have no side effects. Dutasteride actually increased my libido and makes me feel like a horny 16 year old lol.

What side effects did you have on finasteride and how long were you on it for? I have heard that before

Interesting, how long were you on finasteride for?

You healed up great, and the shaved head looks good, no one would ever suspect you had surgery. As for fin sides what works for me is riding my bike about 45 minutes a day and lifting weights, also I take beet root pills twice a day, the exercise I believe eliminates the side effects of fin, give it a try.

Haha, I also just tell everyone I had a surgery - people are so interested in it.

I posted it on my Instagram and has  A LOT of women with boyfriends/husbands that have thinning hair DM me asking questions, lol

I know it’s early but how are things going? Any updates?

Hey Chetman, not a lot of change right now. On Minoxidil 2x a day and trying to figure out how I can take finasteride with minimal side effects still. Going to try and get on oral Minoxidil. Been shaving my head every couple of weeks, but no real change right now!

Were you guys also taking topical min along with it? I am wondering if the carriers messed up keeping it in the scalp

I was taking topical Min along with it. I am going to try taking the finasteride mid day to see what happens there, rather than with the minox. I was always taking at the same time. Probably gonna go 1-2x a week and see how we go. If no sides I will go back to 3.

Truthfully Ive never been able to push through the sides, even though there are studies that say that they can subside after continued use. I pretty much freak out every time that I feel the sides come on.
