  1. I often get a buzzcut and notice that my transplanted hair grows and looks very spiky. Sometimes more sometimes less. Some hair strands that were normal like a week ago are very spiky and grow upwards all of a sudden. Is this normal and do they become normal as they get longer ?
  2. Hello everyone I had a hair transplant 2 years ago. The results are fine however I decided to get my head shaved today just to see what it looks like. It was a razor shave btw not just clippers. My cousin who also got a hair transplant told me that this was a huge mistake and transplanted hairs aren’t supposed to get shaven off like that. He said that I might even have lost a lot of the hairs permanently because of that. Is this true ??
  3. Hey. Yeah it turned out fine. I sweated and was under the sun more than I should during the first month but it didn’t cause any damage to my hair transplant.
  4. Well I never looked so closely and noticed them before at my front hairline, so I was worried at first. If its a normal thing and the hairs aren’t damaged than its alright. I assume they are only noticeable when the hair is very short. When my hair was long I never noticed them.
  5. Yeah I noticed them at the hairline but I’m sure I will have some at the mid scalp too.
  6. When my hair is buzzed, very short and I look closely I notice that certain grafts have 2 to 3 hairs growing together. I though at first it might be split ends but its just the transplanted hairs that are like that so that couldn’t be the case. Is this normal ?
  7. Do you guys think its normal to lose between 30-40 hairs a day ? I shower every day and usually lose between 10-15. In the past two days I lost between 30-40. There is also always that very small yellow/white bulb on them. Does that mean the follicle fell out as well ?! the same thing happened to me 2-3 weeks ago, I lost between 30-40 hairs 5 days in a row. That was the result of using a very harsh shampoo, it became normal again after stopping it. But now I have it again for some reason. So far I have not noticed any difference in hair density, I hope nothing bad will happen.
  8. Yeah that’s exactly how it feels. I also noticed that the transplanted hair when longer looks way more dense when I brush it back or to the sides but bad when I style it forward, fringe hair style. I got a buzzcut now so it will take like 3-5 months to get the ideal length back damn 😬 Month 4 is when my first hairs started growing, it started looking good at month 5. I wish you good luck with your HT results!
  9. I’ve noticed that my transplanted hair looked more dense when it was longer compared to now after I cut it very short. Is it required to grow your hair a bit longer to appear dense after a HT ?
  10. Got the sides shaved. It’s a bit reddish because of the razor right now. It looked noticeably bad under certain lighting when I left it on 1-3mm but now that I got it shaved completely it looks better. What do you guys think, does it look alright ?
  11. The donor healed quite well, looks better now than it did during the first few months, I’m at month 9 now. I have pale skin and dark black hair Idk if this makes it better or worse. Im quite young and a student, I have to save to afford regular SMPs. Once I can I will go for it for sure
  12. Looks great! They only took 2700 grafts from you which helps, I got 4000 grafts taken 😬 I would love a similar haircut like that but with a higher fade. If it looks crap and the lack of hair gets visible I will have to wear a cap or hoodie till it grows back I guess
  13. Yeah that’s what I meant actually, I fear that the lack of hair might get visible. If only SMPs would be a bit cheaper here, it sucks I can no longer get my favorite haircut without having to worry about this
  14. The undercut is the only haircut that really suits me but I’m worried that the scars might be visible to others once I do it. I think about shaving the sides of the hair to 0 and keeping it like 1-2cm on top. My hair always gets split ends once it grows long so I want to keep it short. Has anyone here experience with this? I couldn’t find any pics or forum posts about this unfortunately. Is it a bad idea to shave the sides/donor without getting an SMP first ?
  15. Yeah I guess you are right. It was just frustrating seeing guys online posting great results at 4 months only, it made me fear that mine was a failure since I hardly had any growth by that time. I try to chill and wait it out but it’s not easy for me ngl. I’m already annoyed by the fact I can no longer cut my hair short on the sides without the scars being visible, now imagine if all those grafts won’t grow and were taken away for nothing. I still have this fear. I was surprised too that 4000 grafts were used as I expected less. 2500 were used for the hairline+temples and the other 1500 for the mid scalp.
  16. Thanks! I hope to be able to try out different hairstyles in the future in case the density improves. Cause if I brush or style them back the lack of density at the front gets visible unfortunately. Not sure if I can except much change but it would be great.
  17. Thanks! I was worried at month 4 because many of the results I’ve seen on YouTube and elsewhere showed many guys with good growth that early already. The clinic told me to wait 12 months to see the final result but I was still scared by how bad it looked. Just hope it gets better from now on. regarding SMP, I don’t think I have to wait 12 months to get it done in the donor area since the hairs that got taken from there won’t grow back anyway. It’s just frustrating because I can no longer get a proper undercut without the scars being visible 😬I think I will let them grow out on the sides and back till I find a place to do an SMP. I made the decision to not take Finasteride as the side effects that many get from them are things I’ve already experienced and I don’t want that to happen again. I’m aware of the risks about not taking it, that I might have to do another transplant in some years but I’m ok with that.
  18. Hey guys I wanted to give an update. It’s day 138 now almost 5 months and this is what the hair looks like when I brush it back the same way I did in the other pics It looks better now than it did last time I posted that’s for sure but I still hope for more growth/density considering the amount of grafts that were used. I also regret getting an undercut because of the scars at the back/donor area. I think I have to get an SMP done for that.
  19. I hope so. I have to wait like 8 months though to be able to get another HT. I try not to stress myself but the fact that I might have lost so much hair from the donor for nothing saddens me. I can’t even cut my hair short on the sides or get a fade like I used to because it gets noticeable that I got a HT 😔
  20. Yeah I was surprised too that they did 4000 but I was told they wanted to achieve a strong density results at the hairline...nothing of that to be seen yet.
  21. Everyone says this but I’ve seen many results online and at 4 months it looks better than this for pretty much everyone. The dots under hairline were from the injections I think.
  22. You guys say it’s too early but even at 4 months it can’t be normal that the left side looks this bad. I’ve seen many results online and follow many hair transplant YouTube channels, hardly anyone has a problem like this at 4 months. This is just terrible, sadly I’m one of the unlucky ones 😔
  23. First pic like 2 months before the HT, second one immediately after and last one 2 days after. 4000 grafts but I don’t want to mention the clinic.
