Here is an example of the hairline ? Does it look thinner or is it just cause it’s longer ? On the other hand look how much my crown has closed up ! Topical Dutasteride definitely helping ! 

Not sure if it’s just cause I am starting to get used to having a hairline now… but I’m worrying it’s started to thin a little … I’ve ordered a new derma roller and will start applying the dutasteride at the front as well as the back… as it seems to really accelerate the growth at the crown … anyone else experience this ? Maybe it’s just in my head 

Month 5 in 5 days time … this is usually where the magic starts to happen …. It’s definitely longer 

Here’s a recent pic… just put the shower… with harsh light… still have some way to go yet but I have a good feeling this will close up nicely …. I’m on month 4 now so the best is yet to come

So I’m at the end of the ugly duckling phase now.. (hopefully) I should start to see some proper growth going forward ! Can’t wait for month 5 and 6 when the real magic happens !! 

I’ve just realised I made a mistake re the timeline… I’m way ahead of myself… by a full month Infact! It’s only been 2.5 months not 3.5….. so this excited me as it’s looking really good ! The real growing should start very soon ! 

I think I’m at 3.5 months now… the front is looking almost perfect ! And the back is definitely closing up. Another 3 months and it’s going to be an entirely different story ! Exciting times.

Month 3 … hopefully at the end of the ugly duckling phase… starting to get impatient now… although I’ve been through this process a fair few times now… I still hate this part of the journey…. Still plenty of shock loss, and the new hairs probably haven’t even broken the surface yet! That being said… I do know I’m in for a great next few months !

Sorry about your mixed results mate. Your donor looks much better and your temples as well.  I had close to one 100% growth on my previous surgeries with Mwamba and it's still too early to tell on this one. I did take the voluntary extra steps of having PRP on each one but the last and had a virgin scalp thus perhaps not the best point of reference for a repair. I think he should make PRP mandatory for repair patients, it makes a big difference when implanting into scarred areas from previous transplants. Hope this helps

7 week update… almost at two months … we have some early signs of growth .. the crown does take a fair bit longer to appear but I have high hopes…. As you can see in the pics I have coverage all over but…. I have suffered quite alot of shock loss… granted the lighting is also very harsh which thins it out as well, this being said… I did shed quite a bit this tkme… but I can see regrowth already so this is encouraging ! I have restarted topical DUT as I was still thinning slowtly.. and realised that the DUT had definitely stopped this the first time I was using it ! I shall commence mesotherapy on month 3 to ensure I do not damage the new hairs! 

I used Topical Dutasteride and Dutasteride Mesotherapy for a year after my HT with Mwamba and my crown was looking much better. I stopped using it anout 6 months ago and it has thinned considerably to the point I am not stopping it again. I can't say weather it was the Mesotherapy DUT or the Topical DUT for certain but they are essentially the same bottle, one just has a lower concentration to dermaroll it. Perhaps it's more effective this way but it has worked for me. Hope this helps 

Hey everyone so we are already coming up to 1 month post op! I’ve suffered a fair bit of shock loss this time around which is horrible. But I know it’ll come back thicker and more glorious than ever so it’s worth the struggle ! Thought I’d give you a super close up video to see just how quick the hairs are growing back! 
 

2 weeks down and  all scabs are clear … now to endure the dreaded ugly duckiling phase one last Time! I’ll never get used to this bit!

So that’s it, the final part of my hair transplant journey comes to an end! What a trip that was…. I want to say a huge thanks to Dr Mwamba and his team for all their hard work… they truly are masters of their craft. The entire process was relaxed and professional… hope this video helps some of you in some way. 
 

So it’s finally here… the last procedure is now underway! What a journey this has been …. Cannot wait to show you the results in 6 months or so !

And it’s not done yet ! Hoping for a final 1500-2000 grafts on the crown and mid section ! That should hopefully give me enough density to give up the fibers !

So the final part of my journey will happen on the 20th of June! This should provide me with sufficient coverage where I may not even need fibers anymore !
