When selecting a surgeon for a procedure such as hair transplantation, it's crucial to prioritize quality over convenience. While choosing a surgeon based on location might seem like a convenient option, it could limit your choices and prevent you from considering other highly skilled surgeons who may be located elsewhere.
Additionally, for individuals with a high Norwood (NW) scale, it's not always necessary to undergo a single session of 6,000 grafts. By splitting the surgery into 2-3 sessions, you can better manage your budget.
Although splitting the surgery into multiple sessions may prolong the process, it can help you select a surgeon based on their skills and experience, rather than being constrained by financial considerations. Ultimately, choosing a skilled surgeon is paramount for achieving the best possible outcome, and this should be the primary focus when undergoing any surgical procedure.
I hope this helps you. Good luck.

Excellent result brother ....congratulations .

If you have serious budget issues and that's the main reason for choosing them than i would say you are better of with "No transplant"
There can be a high chance of you falling from the frying pan into the fire my brother.

What about none transplanted hair? How often do they go into a shed/shock loss and when do they tend to recover?
Shock loss, the shedding of non-transplanted hair, varies in intensity and is influenced by several factors, including medication. Individuals who have been on medication for at least 6-8 months before their operation typically experience minimal shock loss if the procedure is performed by a skilled professional. Recovery from shock loss can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months, with the duration varying among individuals.

I really like your hairline design. When you look at your immediate post op pics, it looks conservative (not in a bad way, just conservative) but now with your hair grown out and cut like that your hairline looks quite low. Bros got that Elvis hair now!
Thanks brother...yeah i wanted a conservative hairline and use those saved grafts for more density on the total frontal area so even if i loose some ground in future(which is a high possibility), it should not look too sparse.
Plus i feel a V shaped hairline is better than U shaped hairline because it helps in hiding those unnatural elements of a hair transplant surgery. So imho unless we are going to a doctor who is a master of creating natural hairlines consistently ,i would pick a V shaped hairline anyday. Plus it ages well and those saved grafts can be used elsewhere according to the need.

Congratulations, this is a significant positive change from where you were before the operation.
In my opinion, there is still room for improvement. Hairs will continue to mature and density will improve until around 18 months post-op. Therefore, once you reach the 15-18 month mark, you can assess the progress and plan accordingly.

I’m not super satisfied with the density yet. I still have more than 6 months to go still tho, will see
The initial 6 to 8 months is a phase of hair growth, that is the new hairs will continuously keep on sprouting. The density of your hairs starts to increase in the later half, from 8 to 18 months. Therefore, you are just beginning the phase where your hairs will start to mature and become denser.

The full potential of medication (finasteride and minoxidil) for hair loss typically becomes apparent after 12 to 18 months of consistent use. If you're not experiencing any side effects, it's advisable to continue using it for a longer period before reassessing.
Additionally, consulting with a reputable hair transplant surgeon is recommended to create a personalized medication regimen rather than making adjustments like cutting down, stopping, increasing the dosage, or changing medication on your own.

Minoxidil can initially lead to a temporary increase in shedding, which usually occurs within the first few months of use. This shedding phase is often a sign that the medication is starting to work, as it helps to remove older, weaker hairs to make way for new, healthier ones.
To fully appreciate the benefits of minoxidil, it's advisable to continue using it for at least 12 months. This extended period allows the medication enough time to stimulate hair growth and for new hairs to become thicker and more visible. After the 12-month mark, you can then assess the effectiveness of the treatment and decide whether to continue using it.

This is looking excellent ..you have chosen one of the best surgeon when it comes to hairline work...this will turn out to be very natural and dense ...Happy growing and keep updating brother..

Your surgeon is correct; your native hair can become miniaturized or fall out due to the shock(trauma) your scalp experiences from hair transplant surgery. It typically takes about 3 months for your hair to return to its normal state. You don't need to worry about that at this stage.
Happy growing and keep updating brother.

This is looking excellent and you have many mire months in the bank for more growth and density ...

I started 3 days post surgery as indicated by my clinic. Would advise you to check with your surgeon though just to be in line with the clinics plans.

Your decision should be based on your objectives.
A prolonged waiting period can be seen as indicative of his good work.
Moreover, a longer wait might suit you better, considering you mentioned being unable to afford Dr. Pittela's higher package. If the surgery is scheduled for a year or two from now, you can save up and choose the higher package.

I agree with the opinions expressed by the above posters regarding clinics in Australia. In my experience, I have not yet seen consistent good results from doctors in Australia when it comes to hair transplant surgery.
If you're considering options in India, Eugenix is a reputable clinic you can consult with. Similarly, in Thailand, Dr. Laorwong is a well-regarded option. However, I recommend not limiting your research to just one or two countries. There are excellent hair transplant surgeons around the world, and focusing solely on a few countries might cause you to miss out on considering other highly skilled doctors.
It's important to remember that hair transplant surgery is a lifelong decision, so the location of the clinic should not be the main consideration. Instead, prioritize the skills and expertise of the surgeon above all else.
Good Luck.

I don't understand why he is not fixing this issue ...it's like they are not even trying to address this.
