Sorry to hear that. I hope that after few months the area to improve and thicken. For my experience I would say that there are good and bad things. It's not black and white. I already mentioned them in my previous posts in this thread. Most important for me is any moved graft to survive. Whether all survived? It's difficult to say. Some say that this amount (1200) is small for that area to cover which makes me think that most of them might have survived. At least on the left side, where the results are better.

Hello, The pictures below are from 1 year mark. Basically I do not see improvement from the last time. The back sides of the temples are still empty. I contacted the clinic and I told them my concerns about the emptiness behind my hairline. My coordinator told me that Dr. Bisanga checked my photos and the reply was that this is because of two things - "limited amount of grafts available" and because the focus was on the front line. I can agree that my donor was already compromised but regarding the second thing, I am sure that I've told them during my consultation that my focus was on the two areas behind the hairline and if I have enough grafts to put also to the front line. They offered me another HT to fill these gaps. According to the doctor each side is ~6cm2 and he will place 35-40 grafts each, so in total ~500grafts. I measured the area and it is bigger than that - around 10cm2 per side so I guess I will need ~800. Maybe if they manage to find and place doubles and triples grafts I can get some decent result. I asked them what is the expected growth rate. The answer was 30% to 80% but they cannot tell me exactly before seeing me. This is strange because obviously they have seen me. I don't see any ridges at this area so I hope the survival rate to be higher. Currently I am thinking whether to give them another chance or to search for another clinic. From one side, I like that my donor was better managed compared to my first procedure. Also from the pictures immediately after the procedure I can see that the back sides really didn't get much grafts (rounded with red in the pictures) so this might explain the low density. On the other hand my right part of the hairline didn't get good results and also if I get only 30% of implanted hairs survived, that's really concerning. The pictures are made in front of a window except two of them which are made in a direct LED light.

Hello everyone! I haven't posted for quite some time but let me share now my progress. In short my results are far from the homeruns in the forum which makes me sad but one of the explanation is the small amount of grafts (or maybe I am wrong, correct me if you think otherwise). I am happy that my right temple, where I wanted to have more grafts because it was weaker, became better than the other. I am also happy that my donor was better treated than my previous transplant and is way better preserved. What is my biggest issue, which is obvious from the pictures, is the back side of the temples. No surprise here, initially there was indicator about that, which others noticed in the beginning. The empty area is where I had very small amount placed and where I have dying hair - thin hair, with small diameter which leads to lack of volume and support. At this point of time I don't have illusions that anything will improve. Especially in the problematic area. I wonder whether to go to another HT to fill these gaps. This will probably need at least 1200 more grafts I guess. Or the other option is to use hair fibers which I am using already and are helping with covering it. @Holos I also wonder why I don't have results like the others at this point of time. I don't agree with you that I wasn't careful. I'm following the doctor's guidance. I even put an extra effort on some of the recommendations, like for example going to the gym was not recommended by the clinic for 14 days and I decided to extend it to a month to be more confident that I will not harm the hair. No sun exposure, no wearing a hat (I work from home), except wearing the bandana at the airport (which I don't know if it can affect the results, but I was very careful). I don't drink alchohol. I don't smoke. I eat a lot of fruits and I drink a good amount of water. These are photos taken 4 days after 4 month mark. Also, I got photos from the clinic so I am posting them too. Hello, today is 2 month update. Nothing really changed from month 1, except the longer hair:

1 month update. Most of the transplanted hair has shed. Redness turned to light pink.

Maybe it is still good to wear a hat in order to protect the recipient skin from the sun exposure.

You say "it is such a bad job" because of the number of grafts is too small or something else? I already had some hairs in between but maybe at the back side I also think I should have had more grafts. I strictly follow the post op care. The latest pictures are before washing. Today ~90% of scabs felt off.

Thank you chauhanA ! Today is day 7 and still I haven't touched the grafts. Tomorrow is the day when I will start slightly massaging them. They already started coming out. For now what I can say is that I am really well surprised by the donor management by dr. Bisanga. He really slightly touched it without killing neighbor grafts as my first HT clinic did. Now I'm even a bit regretting that I didn't want more grafts because actually I think we should have entered more the natural hair in order to blend it. As you can see there is a bit of emptiness between the natural and the new hair which worries me a bit but hopefully when it becomes longer it will be not be visible:

Hello, I finally did my HT with dr. Bisanga (30 Jan 2023). I will not go in a lot of details because most of the other topics in the forum already have said them. Recipient area: I had 1200 grafts mainly in the temples which were my primary goal. You can notice that the grafts are implanted above my first HT hairline because I think it was a bit low. I spoke with dr. Bisanga about that and he agreed that in a next session we can remove/relocate them so to remain the new hairline. I'm still not quite sure if I will do this but I think when I turn 40 years+, this old hair line will not look natural for my age. Dr. Bisanga suggested me this number of grafts in my consultation but said that it could take a bit more if he connects the temples and reinforce the entire hair line. I also agreed with him but I didn't want to go above this number because I am afraid for my donor (which was already compromised). Donor area: The grafts were taken outside the area which was used for my first HT. And that destroyed area was clearly obvious after shaving my head (I will post more clear picture when the clinic sends me them). Just to mention that I was very apprehensive to shave my head because this was the first time in my life. My big ears do not stand well on a naked head 😅. The procedure: On the day of the operation, I first had a brief discussion about the documents and after that I met dr. Bisanga. I told him that I want a bit higher hairline and he draw it. Then I discussed with him my top priorities. My number one was the preservation of the quality of the donor area, so I told him that I would like to keep the impact minimal (I already new that he is good in donor management, so this was one of the reasons I chose him). A second was to fill the temples and if there are more grafts left to connect them (the new hair line). Then I moved to the op. room. After few shots of anesthesia he started taking grafts from my right side and a bit of the back side. Later he made the incisions on the recipient side and left the room. Then his technicians started moving the grafts from the donor to the recipient side. One thing which I wish regarding discussions with dr. Bisanga is he to be more inquiring. He looks a nice guy and of course answers all questions but I felt during consultation and the day of the procedure that he is not very talkative. I have explanation for this which is he already spoke the same things to hundreds of people and are well known for him but still often patients do not know what good questions to ask. I had a big dead wasp above the mirror in the bathroom and the worst part - above the room I felt that there are living a family of 5 people at least in a single room with a dog and were so loud that I felt there are in my room 😅

I see. May be it is good to contain natural ingredients when put on top of the recipient area. Derma match probably has similar effect.

Just forgot to mention that "today" pictures are not exactly from now but as I am on FIN and Minoxidil they didn't changed much or at least noticeably.

Hello, I am 35 years old on FIN + 5mm oral Minoxidil and I am planning to document my hair-transplant journey with Dr. Bisanga (BHR clinic). I have booked a FUE procedure exclusively with Dr. Bisanga (not a shared) on 30th of January 2023 (after two weeks). I already had an on site consultation with him and I was estimated to 1200 grafts to reinforce my temples which were already transplanted 6 years ago (another clinic). My first HT (1800 grafts in the frontline and temples) was not successful and I was overharvested at the right side (wrong grafts direction - 90 degrees, poor growth, overharvested). The clinic was Turkish (Dr. Demir, Turhair). It was a cheap one and I learned my lessons the hard way. Now I choose Dr. Bisanga because I don't have ANY place for more mistakes. I have chosen him because of his good reputation here. I really hope this time things to go the right way. Dr. Bisanga suggested me this small number of grafts because my donor is already harmed. I agree with him because better to have a smaller number of grafts than an overharvested donor. I am planning to document my progress in details so this post to be (hopefully) useful for others in choosing the right doctor. I have one question at the moment regarding the redness of the recipient area. I would like to prepare in advance with what I would need. So I read about emu oil and aloe vera. Can you please suggest if any of them has a positive effect in reducing the redness in the recipient area? I am sharing a few photos of my hair today and the day after my first HR. I'm feeling a bit worried now because I am also a repair case and I also would like to thicken my right temple because it is a bit thinner and because I wear my hair on the other side. I have also booked the procedure with only Dr. Bisanga.

Hello guys, Let me briefly explain my situation. I am 33 old and I had a 1800 grafts HT at Turhair (Istanbul) 4 years ago in my temples and hair line. I was not pleased with the results and from that moment thoughts of a second HT are not leaving me alone every time I look in the mirror. The clinic I did my first transplant is a small one and I haven't made good research for it. I was just blinded, exited and naive with few good results from their clinic which made me miss one very important detail - not everyone gets these results and the marketing picks the best ones. The other drawback from it is that it left me with kind of thin donor area compared to the small number of graphs they extracted. However my posts now is about my second HT. I choose Asmed now. I did research and made a consultation. I was estimated to a bit more than my first HT: ~ 2000gr. I decided to do the procedure and I even booked a date but meantime I continued doing research when I got to this forum. I read few bad/mediocre experiences from the clinic in the recent year or two. Now I started hesitating - do I want to make a HF and take the risk of failing to reach good results and end up with depleted donor area (my donor is not the perfect one) or give it a try? I know that good results depend not only on the clinic but also the the genetics of the person (diameter of a single hair, density of the donor area, curly hairs and life style) but mainly it is on their hands and still I want to be sure that in one of my last chances (not having a lot of donor grafts) I would get good results. I will be very glad and thankful if you can give me advice.
