  1. Just posting as I've hit the 6 month mark.Nothing much to report, the midscalp is fully grown in now and maturing nicely. The crown is still a bit thinner but hairs are grown and still a few spikeys coming through. There's no doubt that the crown area takes a lot longer than the rest.My first HT was pretty complete at the 6 month mark (to my eyes although there was probably a bit of maturing and thickening up that happened after that) I've attached a few pics taking in bright light outside and brushed in different directions to give an idea.
  2. Just after the 5 month mark. These pics taken under very bright light (although the quality of my selfie camera isn't great) Progress has possibly slowed a bit,the crown really is a marathon rather than a sprint. When I style my hair normally you can't notice the bit of a thin small bald spot but in the interests of honesty and transparency the hair is all brushed forward in these pics. The midscalp has grown in fully and the crown is still a bit thin but crucially the spikey hairs are still coming through.
  3. Looking forward to seeing your results, great hair already for mid 40s. I stayed in the same hotel as you,top tip is to get an Uber over and back to the clinic, only about €10 (all the trips over and back do add up) Only one day did I have to get a taxi and it was €25.
  4. I definitely lost ground between my first and 2nd ht,they were 3 years apart.I was trying for a kid with the Mrs at this time and couldn't take finesteride, I lost a lot of native hairs during this time. It's quite possible the case that if I had stayed on finesteride I wouldn't have needed a 2nd ht.I was comfortable with a bit of a bald spot. For example pic 1 is 8 months after 1st HT Pic 2 is 3 years after 1st HT
  5. I don't really plan on doing weekly updates but my wife (who has heard enough about hair over the years!) took some decent pics,I can't get good ones myself of the top of my head, she also has a much better camera than me. Here you can see hair brushed a few directions and it give a really accurate view of things.Im at just over 16 weeks. If you zoom in on the crown you can see new hairs popping through and I can feel the spikey ones. The last pic is the day before surgery.
  6. Just a quick update. I notice I had dates slightly wrong on some previous posts by a week or so,apologies for that. This is exactly 15 weeks today. The magic is well and truly under way,the midscalp has grown in really quickly buy still plenty of little spikey ones ready to bloom. The crown as is to be expected is slower but still good progress in that area at 15 weeks. I'm not sure if it's my own physiology or Bisangas technique but I was an early grower after 1st ht with him and seems to be the case this time aswell.Im very grateful for that. The first 5 pics are taken today. The 2nd last pic is before this transplant, the last pic is a side by side comparison
  7. No need to panic at this stage. I'd be a bit concerned that the doctor " ran out" of singles. They should have calculated it better or split some doubles. At least they were honest about it. As others have mentioned you seem to have good hair calibre and the work on the donor looks clean and neat. Nothing to do now but relax and see how it grows in.
  8. Cool. I didn't feel the need to say that to any of the techs after my 1st or 2nd HT. I also didn't trash them, their clinic or their country online. I won't be commenting on your thread again. Good luck with your progress.
  9. " I was so exhausted and with all the anesthesia injection over the last four days, i remember saying that i do not want any more hair and had enough of it. " The final day must have been exhausting but probably not a good idea to say this to your surgeon and then complain you didn't get enough hair.
  10. Because the "results" at 4 months are irrelevant. Im surprised you say you've been on here since 2010? Are you familiar with the timelines involved in procedures like this? BTW your crown is looking amazing for 4 months,I think the rest will catch up,not unsual to have wirey hairs for the first 18 months especially where beard hair is used. You went to a very reputable clinic, trust the process and less of the "third world","wish I had a bad one in the UK" talk. I put this down to you being at a sensitive part of the full 12/18 month process but you're coming across as difficult and aggressive. I can't imagine your clinic being delighted to see you back if you need a round 2. Anyway, best of luck,i suspect you might be looking back on these posts and feeling a bit sheepish in the next 8 months or so.
  11. Yet here you are judging results and marking them out of 10 at 4 months 🙄
  12. You'd need to firm up with BHR but I think price quoted doesn't include the VAT.Again best to contact them, very easy to deal with and very informative. The rep I (and many others on here dealt with) Ian is on this forum and one of the main reasons I went with Bisanga.
  13. It was 2018 when I had that consultation, a few other dodgy clinics have popped up here since.Ireland really isn't the place to get a ht. Yes,the exemption was easy.
  14. My first surgery was all Bisanga except 20% of the extractions. 2nd surgery was 100% Bisanga, just to note that at his clinic this means he designs the surgery, does the slits/incisions and extractions, there is no package where he does the planting. This is done by his techs, the two working on me on my last surgery had 40 years experience between them and the vast majority of that with Bisanga. As regards the pricing it depends on lots of different factors and I'd advise to consult with Ian (Bisangas rep, also on this site) on this. I would have no worries at all going for the Bisanga/Kostis combo,Kostis has worked and trained under Bisanga for years.Having met with and dealt with Dr Kostis several times at consults and surgeries I'd have full confidence in him. I only had one consultation in Ireland,I'm not sure if I can name them here but it wasn't Blackrock or Dr Nel .Too many red flags to mention at this clinic and more or less the same price as Bisanga. The only place I'd consider in Ireland would be Blackrock but at €10 a graft nobody could justify going there. You can get the best in the world for less than that. There is no equivalent to Bisanga or similar elite level surgeons in Ireland. Hope this helps.
