  1. Hello guys, I am very happy to see the comment made by Dr. Bill Parsley. Reg. no. of surgeries: We have big team of 12 surgical assistants and 4 doctors who are ISHRS members, and a cosmetic dermatologist and 3 more junior docs. We also have 3 surgical theatres. Performing 3 surgeries is not a difficult task for us. It entirely depends upon the case, if they are bigger sessions, we adhere to 2 cases and if smaller sessions, we go even upto 4 cases. The other 3 ISHRS doctors are also, even though we are not projecting them, doing a great job. They are also upgrading themselves by attending many international workshops and conferences. They participate to a great extent in dealing with the surgery. This you can appreciate if can click this link. http://www.hairhospi.com/aboutourteam.html Reg. counting of grafts: As far as i know, we have one of the most transparent systems in counting the grafts in hair transplantation procedure . Actually we arrange 20 grafts per tray which were shown even in the surgical album. It is much easier to count the no. of trays and multiplied by 20 gives you the total no. of grafts and we arrange the one haired, two haired and multi haired units in different colored trays to make it very easy to count and transparent. We even encourage the patient's attendants to count and we have instances where some of the patient's attendants counted to their satisfaction. You can witness the same from the link given below or from the surgical album which we posted earlier. http://www.hairhospi.com/Counting.html Regarding privacy: During the month of Feb'09, we were establishing in Hyderabad. Only half of the premises (2500 sq. ft) out of a total 5200 sq. ft had been used for the purpose. But now, we are fully open and we have a separate consultation wing no way related to surgical wing. Now we have junior doctors to counsel who are fully trained. This can be appreciated by visiting our web site through this link. http://www.hairhospi.com/aboutourcentre.html And even I am fortunate enough to have a good no. of my patients who are qualified doctors (15-20%). Thanks & regards, Dr. Madhu.

  3. Hello guys, I have added two more pictures to the album and I would like to add few points to the earlier ones. In this patient, the length of the hair shaft and combing style also cotributed a lot for the pictures. If you closely look at the picture it is not very dense. Furthermore, If you can see the last picture there is even facial hair which is due to Minoxidil. Dr.Madhu
  4. Hello guys, Yes, I appreciate your comments. These "Good After" results of my patients are possible because of the following reasons: 1) These results are not only due to hair transplant but also due to combined effect of medical treatment (finasteride and menoxidil) and surgical treatment for which these patients have responded well. In general, younger patients respond well to the medical treatment. If the patient stops medical treatment, definitely the area will appear sparse, for which he has to undergo another surgery to make it more dense. 2) In our races we are lucky that most of our people have coarse and curly hair. The skin colour is brown to black (less contrast ratio), furthermore the head size is generally smaller and narrower when compared to some other races, hence less recipient area (i.e area to be covered) for the same Norwood class. It is not a miracle. Regards, Dr.Madhu
  5. FUT performed on 28 yrs old Indian male. NW class V. Donor density of 90-100/sqcm. 6. Hello guys, Thank you for visiting my albums and giving your opinions. All the 8 albums I posted are of South Indians and generally they have thick coarse hair which is curly and have dark complexion. Because of which, even with one single session, the results are appearing good. So, fortunately I and my patients are lucky. I was practicing exclusive hair transplants for the past 4 yrs, till 6 months back I was practicing in a smaller center (Rajahmundry) and mostly I used to get the patients of that nature. I tried to find out through my available data to post a straight haired one but it is really becoming difficult to find them. But still I will continue my search. Six months back I re-located to a larger center (Hyderabad), and launched my website recently. So, from now onwards, I may get North Indians and other ethnic races also. Earlier I never insisted my patients to come for follow-up for no reason. So, I could get only a few presentable post-operative pictures. But now I am standardizing the things and everything is in order so that in future I hope I can present the photographs of other ethnic races with different hair characteristics if they happen to come to me as a patient. Definitely as everybody knows, the straight haired, thin haired and fair complexion person gets lesser look when compared to our type of patients with same no. of F.U. s I would like to present more pictures available with me but which also appear similar to the earlier photographs. One thing I would like to say here is that, am practicing 'Ultra refined follicular unit grafting' and i think my results are sufficiently good and the hairlines are also good giving natural look. Regarding our response to the e-mails, as we are getting a lot of mails, we prefer to answer who want to reveal their identity and present their real concern like a clinical case along with the photographs as per the pro-forma in our website. So, we generally ask to post their concerns according to the pro-forma. So, while answering we can give a definite and better suggestion instead of posting so many questions in the mail. The pro-forma is simple and gives a better picture about the patient's concern and in the same website we also revealed our philosophy (which is non-commercial and more of educative in nature) to some extent.
